In an effort to try and make LW more active, Dizzy and I have collaborated and come up with a list of post counts. All members will need to write a certain number of IC posts a month. To find out how many, take your highest ranking character and then locate it on the list. If you have multiple characters, you will only need to meet the requirements of your highest ranker. Writing more than that is always encouraged though. ;D ;D They are followed by a description of consequences…
Posting Requirements:
Goldriders: At least 15 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Goldrider.
Weyrleaders: At least 15 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Weyrleader.
Wingleaders: At least 15 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Wingleader.
The MasterCrafter of a Craft: At least 15 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve you MasterCrafter.
A Master Crafter: At least 15 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Master.
Wingseconds: At least 12 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Wingsecond.
Weyrling Masters: At least 12 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Weyrling Master.
Candidate Masters: At least 12 IC posts a month. At least 4 need to involve your Candidate Master.
Candidates: This is a special rank and an exception to the rules. Along with your highest ranking characters requirements, a person with a Candidate will be required to post at least 3 times in each major Candidate thread. IC consequences will occur if a Candidate is not active.
Weyrlings: This is a special rank and an exception to the rules. Along with your highest ranking characters requirements, a person with a Weyrling will be required to post at least 3 times in each major Weyrling thread. IC consequences will occur if a Weyrling is not active.
Bronzeriders: At least 10 IC posts a month. At least 3 need to involve your Bronze.
Brownriders: At least 10 IC posts a month. At least 3 need to involve your Brown.
Journeyman Crafters: At least 10 IC posts a month. At least 3 need to involve your Journeyman
Any other characters: At least 8 IC posts a month.
Consequences:
If you fail to meet these posting requirements, consequences will be as follows:
1 month = a warning 2 months = probation 3 months = loss of rank/persona
The loss of rank/persona goes as follows: If you can't meet the posting requirements after 3 months then your ranking character will be IC'ly busted back to, basicaly, a private. They will lose their rank no matter who they are. If the character is a Goldrider, they will either be put back up for adoption or killed off IC'ly depending on how the admins feel at the time.
XOXO your admins, Drache and Dizzy

They are not rules, but... like manners, they probablyshould be. ~ Wait to move/change the action until all people have had a chance to pass or reply. ~ Don't move the conversation along untill all players/characters involved have had a chance to pass or reply. ~ Let the board know when you are taking a leave of absence over two days long. ~ If you are dealing with injuries, get with the Dragonhealers and Healers respectively. Ask if they have time to join the thread and talk over exactly what you want out of an injury. (There will probably be more added as we move along.)

All pets in the Weyr are going to have to earn their keep. Dogs can either be put to work herding or learn to be spit dogs... firelizards... messengers... felines can catch tunnel snakes. I have one question to pose though... if we (the Weyr) brought you on Search how did you get yer runner to the stables? Would the search rider be nice enough to put up with a scared feline trying to scratch his eyes out or a scared puppy wetting him? Also, what happens to your possessive doggy or kitty when you Impress?... What is yer dragon going to think about that?... Will you have time for said pet? This are things to consider when making a Candidate. (wait didn't we say no Candidates? Basicly because I would like you to think more of their history before standing. it doesn't mean you cant be Searched out... thing is... the Weyr wouldn't go looking for Candidates before the eggs were laid.) Giving up yer pets and leaving home is all part of becoming a Candidate... you give up just about everything... you put yer career on hold, say bye to family and friends... most of you wouldnt have been farther than 30 miles from a home hold before... it is a verra new and emotional time. P.S. Adult riders... you have my permission to have dragons eat some one's dog or cat... or even runner... they have two days to repond trying to rescue the animal... if they don't...by all means have a draggie snack. If you have a pet... play that pet in your posts as well... they aren't just there for 'bio candy' if so... they will be treated as such. Reread above statement.

We are no longer taking Candidate bios, you have to create a char in either Hold, Hall, or Weyr/Weyrhold. The Weyr or a Weyrhold is the best place, very few or our Candidates come from the north. Mainly only Gold Candidates.
Go ahead and fill out the Candidate bio, put your color preference there and once it is approved we would like to see you RP a bit before you are Searched... We won't Search until closer to a clutch being on the Sands. So you have a bit of time to develop your char.
The reason we are doing this is so that we can RP out Search threads and Candidate interviews, hopeing to make your XP here that much more enjoyable.
This does not apply to those that already have a char approved.

Please copy and paste his original profile into a new post in the auditions for riders board. Small changes are acceptable and you will need to some information to account for the last seven years in his History. Also, look at Dizzy's last post and update his age and clutch information.

The profile looks good. There are a few grammar and spelling errors that aren't that important. I would ask that you read the post entitled "Words That Should Be Capitalized" and then go through your posts with those in mind. Threadfall has not occured yet, so please removed the references to it that appear in his Appearance, Personality and Dragon’s Description. If K'mar is going to be a Wingsecond, please add something to his History that tells about how/why he was chosen for that rank and what he thinks about it, how he acts, what kind of a leader he is, etc... Other then those few things, I approve of him. As soon as you make the changes and get another admin's approval, we'll go ahead and move the profile.

He can't have both 'childish charm' and be 'positively fierce looking' at the same time. No red eyes. No Threadfall has occurred yet, please take any mentioning's of it happening out of the bio. The children would have been raised by the Creche workers, not a Greenrider. N'sis would not have had a Queenrider clutchmate. Please don't use the 'runt-of-the-litter' references. As Dizzy mentioned, we have had enough of those and won't accept any others right now. I like his 'bad-ass-deviant' personality, but just remember that he will have been punished for getting into knife/fist fights. They endanger his life and, consequently, that of his dragon. The Weyr doesn't tolerate that kind of reckless behavior and, if he's been in enough of them, the matter will have been taken up to the Weyrleaders. ((Sorry, my language class has me currently writing in the future perfect passive tense and I can't help but use it. ) Please go through the bio and seperate the longer chunks of text into paragraphs. It'll make the profile easier to read.

Please include separate areas for her Affiliation and Standing, as it says to on the Crafter application form.
How old was she when her sisters Impressed? How old were they?
Please look at the list of words that should be capitalized once more.

Please look at the Craftfolk Profile Sheet (http://lostweyrs.proboards76.com/index.cgi?board=craftfolkauditions&action=display&thread=1131705905) and reformat the application.
The dragonriders have been in the South for a couple hundred years, since the Thread failed to come at the last Passing of the Red Star. Karwen’s parents could not have come over with them when they moved.
128 pounds is a little hefty for someone who is a lean 5’3”. It would be perfect for a slightly chubby 5’3” person.
Only a select few people in the North know that dragonriders still exist. Everyone else considers them to be long gone as few people currently alive has ever seen one.
You don’t mention Radwen in the History. The transition from Kadaen to Arlaen is awkward. How did Karwen feel when her sisters left the family and Impressed? Has Karwen ever felt like she wanted to Impress? Dragons are what the Weyr is focused on, did she ever Stand as a Candidate? How did she feel when she didn’t Impress? How is Karwen’s relationship with her parents? Her sisters? How did she get her nickname Karie? From her parents?
Those are just some ideas to go ahead and beef up the profile.
Apprentice is a title and should be capitalized throughout.

Standing: Fayira is straight forward on her opinions. She stand's tall and receit's them. She thinks the Northern Continent deserves to get bit back, even if only a little. Maybe letting them sit through a Threadfall by themselves. But she also thinks that Dragonkind should launch a full attack on Northern, taking the Weyr's back. SO she is stuck. She thinks some Holders and Crafters are worth saving, but all she really want's is the Weyr's back.
She would have gladly followed any attempt to retake the Northern Weyr's, and she would probably request to be held in high esteem in one. But if it turned to hurting Holdfolk, Crafters, Holdless, or other Pernese, she would back out, maybe even attepmt a rescue. ((This is very choppy and not well written. Please go through it and make it flow smoother to make the main thought stand out. Sometimes it helps to read sentences out loud to see if they flow.))
Family:Mother: Kalaine, 56, Bluerider. Kalaine?s Blue flew Tikom?s now betweened Green. The production was a unhealthy set of triplets. One died within the first sevenday. The second is living, but unaccounted for. Kalaine does not like or approve of her children. She is very quiet and keep?s to herself. ((No triplets. Or if they did happen, all three would have died as well as the mother. Pern doesn’t have the equipment to deal with premie’s and that’s usually what triplets and twins are. The birthing would have been extremely difficult and painful for the mother. Also, she cannot be a female Bluerider. We only have one right now and we’re not accepting anymore for awhile.))
Father: Tikom, 40?s, Masterweaver. Lost his Green in a accident. He was very tired and slept-walked to his Dragon. Then, upon awaking, decided he wanted to see his sister. He ended up with his leg?s and Dragon in a large rock. He took up his old craft. Fayira does not know of him. ((NO.))
Sister: Her franternal twin, Famira. Famira is a Candidate at Lateo, the last Fayira heard. She has never met her sister and doesn?t plan to. Famira is a intelligent, pretty, quiet girl. She is almost the opposite of eccentric, wild, exotic Fayira. What Fayira doesn?t know is that Famira is planning something to get her entire family together. ((Refer to my previous note concerning triplets.))
Fayira probably has other siblings, but never cared to ask or look. She has uncle?s and aunts, but again she doesn?t really care. She feel?s if she know?s, she isn?t as free and someone might try to stop her on her... ahem, night quests.
Appearance:Fayira has a curvy yet supple body. She has a smooth shape, everything running together nicely. Sometimes, in the right position, she look?s almost stocky. But standing straight and tall, hunched over, or even sitting down, you can tell she is just curvy. Nothing more. When she hunches over and sit?s down, she has a bit of a roll on her stomache.
Fayira has midnight black hair, so dark in the right light it sheen?s blue. It used to hang way past her hip?s, but after the frst six month?s of being a Weyrling she trimmed it she it only reaches her waist. It is very, very straight. Almost rigidly so. While she usually leave?s it loose, when she is Riding with a helmet--which is only when she must-- she pile?s it slowly atop her head, so that when she removes that dreadful piece of equipment it tumble?s gaily back out. ((Waist long hair is still to long for a Weyrling. Female Weyrlings have their hair cut (at the least) to their shoulders as having long hair detracts from the care they can give to their dragonet and will just get in the way of everyday activities. Weyrlings always ride with helmets.))
Fayira has deep, emerald green eye?s. They are unusally large and very pretty. They are, sadly for Fayira, pool?s of emerald emotion. Never do they hide a thing, unless they are closed with sleep or relaxation, or even pleasure. They sport long, thick lashes, very good for fluttering at the unsuspecting man or boy.
Fayira is of average height, around 5?6 and a half. She isn?t tall nor short, but just right for her. Her height is cumbersome when she is trying to reach high-placed thing by the taller drudges that occasionally help her out by placing her dried clothing in her weyrling?s bed?s highest shelves. Or when making love to a shorter male. Though it is helpful when seducting a taller man. Men loved to be looked up at. Fayira weighs a nice, even one-hundred or so pounds. ((The run-on sentence doesn’t make sense. Look over your phrasing and spelling please. Also, if Fayira is 16 now, that meant she Impressed at 15. As a 15 turn old girl, she most likely wouldn’t have had many partners and as a Weyrling all physical relationships are potentially dangerous and forbidden until the dragon is physically and mentally mature.))
Fayira has deep bronzed skin, maybe from Indian(from India) descent. Neither her mother or father have such skin. It does not change no matter how long she stay?s in the dark part?s of the Weyr, or how long she stay?s out in the bright, burning sun. No matter what she does, her skin remain?s unaffected. ((If her skin is like that, one of her parents at least would be as well.))
Her face is gently precise, with thin, round eyebrow?s and smooth, plump lip?s. Her nose is round and of average size. Her face is clear and joyous. She can pass of for a younger child if she hunches under a large blanket, letting only her head peek out.
Personality: Fayira is a looker. No one would deny that. She attract?s men because she feel?s she got the short end of the stick of love as a child. She really wasn?t, but she wasn?t slathered in love. She was just given a bit of love here, and some more over there. Just not on the way from here to there. ((Doesn’t make sense.))
She would much rather be stuck with several hundred people then just one, being socialable. She wouldn't want everyone to go away, especially men. She excersices her free will and socail skills more then nescessary. She has a slight fixtation with Whersports, not sure what they are. On Earth she would be a scientist, no doubt.
She has little control of what she says, even if she is in a situation where she must. This get's her into much trouble a lot of the time. Especially with females. Some don't like her because of her history and reputation. Oh, her reputation. Most of the younger men hold her in high esteem, while most of the females look down upon her. She tries to be kind, but they don't take it. ((Again, look at my previous note.))
Fayira enjoy's, above all else, a nice, quiet evening of relaxing. At a beach, a lake, a Spring. Wherever water and heat are. She love's the sunshine thorugh her hair. But she hate's the cold. Fayira would love to where her Rising clothes all day than anything else--except a nice, barely-there Gather Dress. She hates the cold, basically. ((Again, very clunky and hard to follow. Please got through the entire bio with a careful eye and use spell check. Also, watch your grammar and run-on/fragment sentences. Tell me when you’ve done looking through it and correcting things, then I’ll read the rest of the post.))

Corra gave a weak smile at Kyparla's statement. It would certainly be interesting. The tensions between riders, Wings and Weyrs was noticeable. This was surprising to Corra. Helios and Desta had only been gone for a few turns but they now seemed to be segregating themselves from Lateo. The Wingleader of Helios looked to be especially eager to disassociate himself from the rest of the riders present. The meeting was not looking like it would be a peaceful one. The goldrider would have to be on the look out for possible trouble so that she could hopefully smooth it out before it exploded.
At G'llahar's words, the Jr. Weyrwoman lowered her head for a minute. Faranth only knows how deeply everyone's lives will be affected by this. Poor Mariska and Zramuth would be one of the pairs paying the biggest price. At that thought, Corra reached out and touched the mind of her gold, as she done so many times over the past night. Feeling the gold was in a light slumber, she took comfort in knowing that nothing to serious was now going on, that Eileith could get some well earned sleep.
Hearing people begin to shift in their seats, Corra lifted her head and once again looked around the table.

You’re needed in the Council Room. Now.
I’ll be right there. Eileith dutifully relayed the message and then curled up on her ledge for a well earned nap as Corra turned away from her mirror and walked out the door of her hut and across the plain of the Weyr to the newly created Council Room that was now located inside the actual Weyr. She finished putting her honey-blonde hair up into a bun on the way, sliding the last pin into place as she reached the Council Room’s door. Taking a deep breath to steady herself for what might be ahead, she pushed open the door and walked in. Her skirt swished playfully around her ankles, in complete contrast to the palpable tension and sadness that filled the room.
She walked to her seat beside Kyparla, softly greeting the riders she recognized as she passed them. She was not so familiar with the Wings that had been at Muneo for the past few years but had become familiar with one of the Desta Seconds recently. His bronze had been badly burned on one shoulder but was doing well. Taking her seat, Corra murmured a greeting to Kyparla, Ollandra, and G’llahar. She couldn’t help but notice the dark circles under their eyes that matched her own. She also couldn’t help but see the glare that Kyparla was furtively aiming at one of the Wingleaders. Hoping to diffuse the situation a bit, Corra reached for the jug of water near her and poured some into two glasses. Placing one of them in front of Kyparla, she gave a small smile to the Weyrwoman as they made eye contact. Corra wanted to put an arm around the redhead’s shoulders and offer her a hug, what little comfort was available for her to give, but this wasn’t the time. In the Council Room they were Weyrwomen, not friends. They would have time to talk and mourn after the meeting. For now, they were all business. Taking a sip of water, Corra glanced around the table and sat a bit straighter in her chair, waiting for the meeting to start.
