Z'rion stood taking Kaminari's arm. As the next song began he started to lead the young woman in a dance, that was rather fast paced. He would see who could keep up with whom. He was so happy that he didn't even realize how often he was smiling the last couple of days. How did one deal with such strong emotions? Best not to think about that, he told himself. He ought to just concentrate on the danicing. The Bronzerider was soon entirely caught up with trying to dance well. Breathing heavily at one point, "Perhaps you are right, I may not be as good at this dancing thing as It hought adn I don't know about running with you tomorrow morning. It seems I need more rest than I realized."

Placing his one hand upon the older woman's waist and lifting the other to hold her own, he lead her through the dance. While he was not nearly as smooth as most men that night, he knew the steps and in his eyes that was enough. Rarely did he dance and he was planning on handing off to L'nuo soon enough. That was, after all, the only thing the man was good for.
Hearing her words, he merely shook his head. "Its is not the choice of the rider, my dear Weyrwoman, but the choice of the dragon. I'm afraid Savath must have not found Malekith to her likings."
I should flame you for that remark.
"But I do not," he continued without so much as a breath in between or his eyes loosing focus upon the woman he danced with.
Go ahead and try it.
"regret Savath's choice..."
Thread-scored rider.
"for G'llahar knows..."
Lousy wher of a dragon.
"how to run his weyr..."
Wherry-headed imbecile.
" well. There are a few places I disagree, but they are easily worked around." He said finishing with a smile.
Go back to your den you proddy green!
I am in my den you fool! With that the bronze snorted and successfully managed to ignore his rider for the time being, which was just as well since the only sign that he had even spoken with the bronze had been a missed step, but by E'mion's dancing skills, it had nearly ruined it.
~~~
At P'resh's words, Amoare could not keep the smile from spreading on her lips. How on Pern had she been lucky enough to find this man out of the entire weyr? Taking a second sip of her wine as she glanced around just to make sure H'mei nor anyone else was around, she put it back down as she looked to her own plate of food. If all hatchings smelled this good, she could only imagine how they tasted as she scooped up her own forkful of food.
The taste of the roasted wherry on her tongue was magnificent, but she nearly jumped out of the thought as a snort came from P'resh. Having been around him long enough, she knew it was a sign of some smart remark from Kaunth. Smiling she asked, "Is Kaunth enjoying himself"
~~~
E'mion found himself thoroughly surprised when it was not him who pawned off Merda, but Merda who dismissed him. Giving her a slight bow, he could only smile.
"Ah you know me too well." He said as he did not hesitate to make his way to the Helio's table where he found L'nuo sitting, a strange enough sight with so many women around.
"Not dancing L'nuo?" he asked curiously as he finally sat in his own domain with a sigh. Noticing the kid next to L'nuo he raised an eyebrow but did not need to speak the question.
"Oh I'm deciding how best to use him to get me a prize tonight," he said with a smile as he passed a second bubbly pie to the boy who meerly grinned bigger.
"Just don't make him sick L"nuo," he said with a laugh. Leave it to this man to find every advantage in a situation no mater how 'small'.
"Oh I won't. I'm fancying a dance with a red-head, what do you think?"
"I think there isn't a chance for you in the world."
L'nuo merely laughed, leaving E'mion completely curious at the man's words.
~~~
(((What's this with the rumors??? I think you girls are having far too much fun with that little tid-bit I shared. *sticks out tongue* Oh and please forgive me for the question marks... they keep replacing my parentheses and the "dot-dot-dot" that I love to leave... damn home computer with crappy conection...)))
(((Hopefully I fixed the questionmarks.... and yesh the rumors are fun. Mem and I were bored.*grins)))
((*makes a quick run through to fix more of E's questions marks* Yeah, Guriya's having blast. *nods* Very bored, last night. And it's all in good fun! *winks* I love this editting thingie. It totally makes me not have to go back through and delete OOC posts.))
Smiling warmly at Merda's approach, Ollandra inclined her head to the Weyrwoman. "Well enough though I'm finding myself more and more bored. And yourself?" There had simply always been things that needed doing. A Weyrwoman had to learn to be in four places at once and to suddenly not have to do anything anymore. Well a permanent vacation was not quite her idea of fun. At least Merda seemed to be doing well, as was her Caliath. Quickly she shoved those thoughts aside, so sense in waking Shim, much less upsetting her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Keeping up with him as only a girl of her age could, Kami was all laughs and spins as they danced. It really was a good idea to attend a feast instead of work one, although the back part of her mind followed conversations near by. There were still things to do even if one was having a good time. As the first dance drew to a close, she found herself breathing heavily and with what was probably a silly looking grin plastered on her face. "Ah who needs rest." With a laugh she pulled him back in for the next dance. "Besides it will build up your stamina."

"Well me for one...." He grinned. "HAH! I'll show you stamina." He readied himself for the next dance still able to keep up with the young harper. Z'rion was smiling like a lovesick boy. He really needed to not think about moments liek this all the time. It was going to be very bad for his attention span. Viderieth was obviously listening to his thoughts again as he broke in, When are you going to invite her to our weyr? When its the right time. I don't understand your thinking on that. somday you might.

“Well, he was just a lad back then…” Jujala grinned, enjoying stringing her friend along. “I know I taught him a few things.”
~~~~~~~~~~~
“I beg offence Lady.” R’lan drew his brows together, looking almost hurt. “You question my honor as a Helios Rider?” The brown rider followed her steps, missing time now an again. Taking control of the spin, “I must admit you are a very good teacher. I think I just might have it now.” His hand resting on Shereae’s waist slipped a bit farther.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Taking another sip, “No, we can’t have you running your reputation.” L’dar, even as he chuckled, kept an ear turned toward those standing close. “I can understand the Ladies not lining up… but I know a few lads that would. Why not them?”

Guriya laughed. "Yeh're dewin' this oon poorpus, Jujala," she said between giggles. "Gimmeh all th' joosy d'tails, alreadeh!" ~~~ Shereae winked at him good-naturedly. "Meanin' no offence, Lord. I just say it like I see it." His hand slipped lower on her waist, and she cocked her head at him sternly. "None of that now, Dragonman." She pulled his hand back to her waist, but allowed him to take the lead still. She had known he was a better dancer than what he had said. ~~~ T'den shrugged. "Don't get me wrong, it's not that they haven't asked. It's that I've turned them down." He smiled into a glass of wine. "I've been waiting for a specific man to ask, really," he said, after taking a heavy sip of the red substance.

"You know I am, and enjoying." Her eyes cut back to the retreating Wingleader. "Not many details, he was mostly sinew and bone then... Had a nice tight ass though, one to dig your fingers into as he thrust. He's filled out nicely. Maybe he has filled out better in other areas, as well." Her last words were said with a laugh.
~~~~~~~~
"Well as long as there is no offense meant..." Twirling her again, R'lan made sure her body brushed against his length. "Would you rather I keep my hands in full view? " The man's eyes sparkled like the DawnSisters, "It will make it harder to dance though..."
~~~~~~~~ "Oh really? Which lucky lad is it then?" L'dar leaned against the wall, his face turned slightly toward the rider. He tried to remember if T'den had shown a preference.

Safiya smiled and laughed lightly at his polite response. She realized that a slow dance would be nice after such a quick one. She wasn’t exactly tired from dancing as she was from the morning’s previous events. Working all morning wasn’t the way she would have originally planned spending her day before the Hatching Feast at Lateo. Even so, she wouldn’t shirk her duties just because there would be a great Feast that evening. Weyrlingmaster M’larain would make sure of that. She returned her attention to K’ton, who was awaiting her answer.
“Alright, a slow one then. If not for this morning I would still be active with dancing, believe me.” She didn’t want him to think that this was how she was after only one dance. No, normally she could go more than ten dances at a time. Then again, the only reason she would stop at ten was because after ten she became so clumsy she would trip over her own feet. That’s right. Not her partner’s feet but her own. It is just sad how clumsy she is. Her eyebrow raised in curiosity as his next comment was offered. Roughian troublemaker? Now what did that imply?
“So you caused trouble as a Weyrling?” Well, everyone did in their own way, but he made it seem like he was the troublemaker of his Class. She watched him with curiosity, finding this subject an interesting one. He always had asked about her, and now she could finally learn something about him for a change. At the mention of a Flight, a ghostly chill crept down her spine that made her shiver a bit. Ryceth had awhile yet, but there was something about that word that made a rush of emotions build up inside that she didn’t know how to control yet. She didn’t know what love or lust was, so this was all new to her. She didn’t quite…understand it.
You could say she thinks of love as friendship. She says she loves her friends. So if a man said that he loved her, she would probably reply with ‘I love you too’, but not really mean it in any sort of romantic way. And if she has trouble with love, you can only imagine lust. The Flight would surely be an interesting one that hopefully would go well. She only prayed to Faranth that the men were kind in helping her out if she had any trouble. Ha, just goes to show what she knows about men. But this is getting sidetracked from the point. “I agree, according to the Clutch Charts I recently looked over. But I also think this might be her last Flight.” That would mean…
“Will Revonna become Weyrwoman?” That sounded right, and yet wrong all the same. Safiya didn’t quite understand why she had a bad feeling about the Jr. Weyrwoman becoming the Weyrwoman of Sodalis Weyr, but she did all the same. Others knew why that could cause problems with her rebellious self, but Safiya still didn’t understand why they feared her becoming Sr. Weyrwoman. Either way, the gold weyrling had a feeling that it would not turn out well, and that was all that mattered right now to her when the topic concerned Revonna.
Safiya smiled and politely shook her head. “No, I’ve never had wine before. I think I’ll wait until I’ve graduated. How many months were left anyway? Three? Just the thought made her excited and she just couldn’t wait. Soon the restrictions would be gone and she would have more free time than now. Sure, she would have more responsibilities as the official Jr. Weyrwoman, but it couldn’t possibly be as much as Weyrling Training combined with Weyrwoman Training. She grinned at his second question. “I would love a bubbly pie.”
Daine still didn’t understand why she had taken his hand, but now that she had, she would dance as she had actually wished for. It was just strange that she was dancing with her Wingsecond. It wasn’t long ago that Veralidaine had hated S’hon with everything she had and E’mion hadn’t been too bad. And then the positions seemed to swap and lessen at once. She actually considered S’hon a friend now, although she would never admit it, and she could handle E’mion now. She began to understand his reasoning for what he did. But that isn’t the point right now.
They began to dance to the fast-beat song, bringing back all the training she had been given so long ago. It came back like an old friend, and like a friend, it didn’t turn her down. She followed every step without missing a beat, and S’hon was doing just as well. The greenrider smirked, although if you looked closely enough, you could see a hint of a smile hiding behind it. She hadn’t had so much fun—while sober, mind you—in Turns. As she watched S’hon’s face, she realized he didn’t appear as cold before as usual. Her emerald eyes seemed to turn down the usually scorching heat to the flame of a warming fire. Somehow, the dancing was cooling her down from too much heat to just the right amount…

Guriya snickered. "Sure, and I betcha 'e duz," she said. "'Is tail-end does look nice in a pair of pants, I can't imagine why they wouldn't out of them. But are yeh sayin' that 'e has a bitty bite in his shorts?" ~~~ Her body brushed against his, or perhaps the other way around, and Shereae could help but blush. Did that on purpose, he did, she thought, twirling. When she next looked at him, his sparkling blues were more twinkly than before, and his question posed made her laugh. "No, of course not, M'lord. Just not on my rear-end is all," she told him in her still-slight drawl. ~~~ T'den decided to be coy. "Lad? No. Full-grown man, more like, my blue-riding friend." He smiled. "He's about yeigh tall," and he gestured L'dar's standing height, "very fit, and has nice blue-green eyes that change in different lighting." He laughed.

"Indeed... I bit my tongue before I asked him if it was in yet." Jujala's tone was conspiratorial.
~~~~~~~~~~~
"Is that where my hand was? I do beg your pardon, that was a shameful thing for me to do." R'lan ducked his head, his cheek brushing against her fine mane of hair. 'She's more of a challenge than I first thought.' He tried in vain to hide his grin; the dimple in his cheek didn't lend him any aide. "My mother really did teach me better... If it helps Shereae." He liked the smell of the woman, sweet and clean. "On Nylath's shell I give my oath that I won't do anything you don't want me to."
~~~~~~~~~
L'dar went right along with what the man was saying, trying to place faces and men with who the green rider was describing. It took a moment to dawn on the man that it was he T'den spoke of. When it finally hit him the lanky man almost spewed his wine, "You don't mean..? Really?" His face was a comical mix of disbelief and uncertainty.

Guriya's jaw dropped; belatedly she hoped her brain would absorb a little wisdom. "Really?!" she exclaimed. "Well, I hope for his and any of his lovers' sakes that he's gained a few...inches," she said, laughing. ~~~ Shereae laughed. "You're very charming, sir," she told him, shaking her head. "Ah, but you had not mentioned Nylath yet, R'lan," she said, testing the name out in her mouth. It fit well, rolling off her tongue. She looked down to the floor to test the name on her tongue again. "R'lan, R'lan, Rrrrr'laannnn," she whispered. Looking up, she grinned. "I believe you. And I'd stop you if you tried," she said, smiling. ~~~ T'den smiled his half-smile. "Indeed, L'dar. Surely you knew that?" he asked, winking at him and looking at him out of the corner of his eye, looking out at the dancers and leaning back in his chair, cup of wine in his hand.

K'ton smiled in reply, "Excellant, i'll look forward to it and i'll try not to trip over you again." He narrowed his eyes for a moment, thinking, "Well, i wouldn't say i was a right devil, but sometimes i have superiority issues," he tried to say it in a nice way, because well, she was his superior, "I guess i just never took it well that i was automatically a lower rider just because of my dragon's color. Not that i'd trade Onath for anything," He finished. Yah, that sounded ok, he might like this girl, and he didn't want to scare her off. Talking about his Brown was always a plesant point of conversation anyways, it was thta way with all dragonrdier it seemed. Well, at least they all had something to talk about in awkward silences.
He was silent for a moment, but it wasn't awkward, it was...nice. He nodded, "Aye she will. And once you graduate, you'll be the eldest of the Jrs, and since we're you know...getting closer to fall time, they'll probably more Jr.Queens under you." He smiled, " I hear your graduation is fairly soon. You nervous?" He asked, taking the oppurtuniy to touch her hand with his, for just a moment, in a reassuring, but flirtatious way. He was flirting with a Goldrider. This was a little unexpected. He had nothing against Weyrwomen, he always respected them, but he didn't think he'd ever really get to know one, in any way.
He cocked his head to the side for a moment, "Well aren't you the good girl," He teased, "No i'm just kidding. That's a good thing. You're probably loaded on more by the Weyrlingmasters than any of the others." He reached out and plucked a steeming bubbly off the nearbye drudges platter. He wrapped it in a napkin and handed it to Safiya, "A bubbly it is."
He let her eat, he wasn't really hungry. When she was done and the next slow dance came up, they could dance again. He looked forward to it.

Mariska hugged A'sero as she finished their dance, "You go back and chat with G'rec. I'm sure you two can get on fine, you have a lote in common. And go see your Brownrider friend. She's pretty." Mariska winked. She wouldn't drag G'rec back to the high table, but she hadn't really eaten much and wanted to get back to her seat. A'sero noticed her teasing and replied, "You're right, she is a good friend. I have lots of friends." He squeezed her shoulder and walked over to the Desta table where is firends sat.
Mariska smiled at G'rec. She had reserved the last danec of the night for him. She retied her hair, as it had gotten a little tangled from all the dancing. She should proably get someone who could actually cut hair to do it next time, not try to do it herself in a mirror with a knife. She wondered if Corra was still at the high table...or J'mie. Maybe it was just her, but she had a feeling somethign was up with him that night.
She sat down, still breathing a little hard, she smiled at Ollandra and Merda. "Good evening again," She nodded to them both and flagged down a drudge for some food. "Now wehre has our lovely E'mion gone?" She asked. Strange that he left the table when Kyparla did...she might be young but she wasn't stupid. Never mind, "Our new Weyrleader's here at Lateo certainly look good dancing, don't they?" She spoke on. It was suprsing how bubbly she could be sometimes...although not in the girly way. She liked to think of herself as outgoing and energetic...never girly. "I apologize, someimes i just can't shut my mouth." She smiled for a second and began cutting into her meat. Mmm, if only she could eat wherrie as good as this every day,

Safiya nodded in understanding. She had the same feeling even as she walked into the Weyrhall. Why must she sit at the Head Table just because Ryceth was gold in her color? Shouldn't it be whoever would be a greater leader instead? Then again, they had a point. It wasn't just because he was brown or she was gold. The different colors always chose who would best fit them. As Ryceth constantly told her, the gold picked Safiya because she was a born leader, whether she realized it or not.
Maybe in the near future her true colors would show, but for now she was as clutzy and slow as ever. "Just so long as you don't get into so much trouble that you're Grounded." That would be a horrible punishment. One of the worst that she could think of at the current moment. To have to stay on the ground for sevendays at a time without soaring through the skies with the wind streaming through your hair would be torture. Safiya knew she wouldn't be able to handle that.
The gold weyrling hadn't thought of that until now. She would be the eldest Jr. Weyrwoman if Revonna become the Sr. Weyrwoman. Meaning there would come more behind her that might actually look up to her. People look up to her? Oh dear... Do not worry, mine. By the time any do Graduate to become Jr. Weyrwomen behind you, mine will have grown. Safiya blinked in confusion. In height? I think i've reached my limit. Ryceth muttered something. What? Nothing. I meant grow in more of a mental way.
Safiya smiled and thanked Ry before turning back to K'ton. "Not nervous as much as I am excited. Then again, I should be nervous since I've made my share of mistakes...more than my share actually. But for some reason I'm not really nervous. If I don't Graduate then I'll just go through the training again. I just hope I do Graduate." Her dark chocolate eyes danced as she spoke of Graduation. It was nearing and she couldn't help but get chills in her excitement.
For some reason she never got nervous either. Never nervous or afraid of doing anything wrong. She believed she would do her best, and if something went wrong she would just have to try again. Maybe that was a sneak peek of the leadership to come, even if Safiya didn't recognize it yet. His hand reached over to hers as if in worry, but she didn't even flinch. Remember, she doesn't understand what a relationship or love is yet. To her, flirting is just a good friend trying to have fun. She doesn't realize the intentions behind it. Completely naive.
Her gaze wandered to the Head Table where it was suddenly bustling with people. It had so many people she wasn't even sure her seat was open anymore. Well, she wouldn't want to intrude. For the rest of the night, she could stay at this table. K'ton spoke again, and she laughed lightly. "Yes, I am a good girl. Or at least I hope I am. Revonna does enough of the rebelling for the both of us." She quickly dug in to the bubbly pie, forgetting her manners for a moment as well.
"Whoops, excuse me." As the hot juice dribbled down to her chin, her finger swept it up and back into her mouth. In just a minute or two, the bubbly pie had disappeared and she was licking her lips to remove the sticky residue. Safiya grinned at K'ton. "Delicious. Are you sure you aren't hungry?" She looked at him in concern, hoping she wasn't the one that was stopping him from having any food. "Did you eat beforehand?" Maybe that was the reason, or at least she hoped so.

“No doubt.” Jujala took another sip of her drink, before she was pulled out onto the dance floor by one of Lateo’s many brown riders.
~~~~~~~~~
“I was hoping you would think so.“ The brown rider feathered his thumb at the small of her back, “And you are verra pretty.” He grinned at her words… ’She thinks she would.’ The Harpers called out a much livelier tune and R’lan bowed to his partner before leading her toward Helios’s table. “Care for that drink now?”
~~~~~~~~~
“Truly my friend, I had no idea…” L’dar downed the remaining wine in his cup a thoughtful look crossing his features, “Care to join me?” The tall blue rider placed his hand on T’den’s back, guiding toward the other dancers.
