((didn't see a forum for non-rider quarters so I'm just sticking this here for now))
By the time Kami and Z'rion actually reached her quarters she was nearly purple with laughter. She drew aside the cloth partition and invited the tall bronzer inside. The room was sparsely furnished, so much so that the only noticeable things that had not been there before Kami were the boots by her bed and a shirt draped over a chair. A lute rested against the table as well, and like the rest of the room it spoke little about the occupant. The quarters were plenty for her needs though, a bed, dresser, small table and two chairs. A small bath was adjoined the room in the back. The room was almost dreary, hardly the place for a personality like herself to reside. Kami made a note to pick up some tapestries at the next gather and a new dress or two. Brightly, she spun around and plopped down on the bed.
"Welcome to my humble abode." Kami grinned, there wasn't much about this Harper that was even remotely humble. Her mind stuck on Viderieth, the prospect of getting to meet his dragon was slightly thrilling, she hadn't been close to one of the great creatures yet. The idea unnerved her slightly still. How could you be sure they'd never accidentally step on you.... However, she glanced up at Z'rion, the dragon could wait, shards and shells so could everything else. "Now you know my secret hideout." Kami made a mocking serious face and lowered her voice dangerously. "If you let the information out I'll be forced to silence you." She didn't hold the face long and was quickly all grins and laughs again.

He scanned his surroundings with a smile onhis lips. Even if the accomadations were modest he doubted she would spend much time there....not when she had so amny things to do around the Weyr. Adding in a warm tone, "It reminds me of my room at home. Candidates are much more squished together and even Weyrlings get more meager living spaces. I am so glad my new place will be large with a private bath and everything..." He was quite excited about it... plus he'd be making some sort of income which meant he could get the place nicely furnished.
"Your secret is safe with me for now, however I'd like to know how you'd keep me quiet. I do ahve a rather loud voice." His eyes held that usual mischievious twinkle. He grinned again, "I will meet you back here after I ahve changed... in say a candlemark." He waited for her answer before starting towards the door.

Her eyes widened slightly at that comment then Kami laughed. Well well, Z'rion really could play this game. The Harper took a gracefull bow and then grinned again. "Well you will just have to wait and see." Stiffling another laugh she gestured for him to go.
"Go on get out of here or I will be forced to silence you. A candlemark sounds like plenty of time." Amused at the herself and most un-Harperlike rush of word she laughed again. Oh dear but this promised to be an intresting evening indeed. Kami walked over to the desser and rummaged through it and then pulled out the dark dress. She hoped it had weathered its trip here well, would be a shame if she wasn't at her best indeed.

"Don't go running off with some hot young Bronzer while I'm gone." He grinned, knowing he was the youngest Bronze rider that wasn't a Weyrling. She could certainly find a hotter man if she wished. "Or maybe you are waiting for me to leave to cdo just that... maybe you should kick me out by forse..." His eyes still gave off their mischioevious twinkle.
He did need to get ready though. "I suppose it would be best for me to wait till later... I mean I do need to look good tonight. " He grinned. Taking her hand quickly he kissed her palm. "In a candlemark. And despite what you may think, I'm never late."

As much as she might of wanted to, Kami couldn't stop the small flush that rose to her cheeks. She laughed to cover it and made the vain attempt to push the man out her door. Even if the Harper had wanted to, she wouldn't have been able to move him. But no doubt the point would be transfered. "Go on you strutting wherry, I'll be here when you get back." The little voice in the back of her heat noted that her plam tickled where Z'rion had kissed it. Intresting that, Kami wondered if that effect worked in other areas. Such thoughts, it was no wonder she'd been sent off to the Weyr. Wagging a finger mockingly, she laughed again.
"And if you don't hurry I might just have to find some other company to entertain me." Not that she would, but it was amighty good threat at least from what the Harper had seen. Now then, she mused; where he had been raised at a smaller hold Kami could go for a more simplistic look. He wouldn't expect some of the gaudy outfits lordlings and ladies loved to bounce around in. Lucky her for that point indeed, and she could leave her lute here. If she needed to play she could come back easily enough for it. Kami repressed a sigh, she could never quite manage to forget what she was here for in the first place.

"Now now, what comapny could rival mine?" He asked in his cocky way and walked out down the halls. Z'rion was more than happy with her reaction. HE was just as excited for tonight as he had been standing ont he Hatchign sands waiting for Viderieth to hatch.
Exactly one candlemark later...
Z'rion arrived in front of Kami's door, dressed in a nice ocean blue tunic and khaki colored trousers. He looked nice but in his own more casual way. He was never one to be overdressed to a function. Under his arm was an ambiguous looking wineskin. He knocked waiting patientlty for her to open the door.
He had hurried to his place and thrown on the nicest outfit he could find. He really didn't have much time for messing around. Quickly he had bathed and got his hair pulled back in a small ponytail. He liked having his haior down but occassion called for it to be drawn back. HE was not a handsome man, as he looked at himself in the looking glass, he knew it to be true. He never got down about it though.
He had one hand behind his back as he awaited her opening her door. He was on time after all. Z'rion hoped she had not gone off with some other rider...

Kami smoothed down the dress over her hips and sighed. She would never have the voluptous curves many women flaunted. Ah well, at least the dress had traveled well. Dark brown and elegantly cut, the dress molded to her body well although the bodice and back were cut low enough to have had Holders' tongues wagging. Her hair, opposite to Z'rion's had been let down from its customary braid and hung in a straight dark curtain about her shoulders. Running a hand through it, she was glad it had dried quick enough. Though she would have loved a longer bath. Company in said bath would have been even better.
At the knock on her door, she startled; oh right, Z'rion. She opened the door and grinned up at the tall rider. Well it seemed he cleaned up well enough. Good thing she'd guessed right on the attire, but then she always guessed right. "And here I was begining to think you'd forgotten about me." She placed her hands on her waist mocklingly. If she wanted to be noticed very few would have ever not remembered Kaminari, and the Harper knew it.

As she opened teh door he took in the sight of her lovely form in the dark brown dress. His voice answered clear and calm, "My humblest apologies for keeping you waiting. Perhaps this will cheer you up." First he handed her the wineskin, a smirk on his face that was more than cocky..."As promised." Then he took the long stemmed elegent flower he had gone to get himself, while moving, and handed it to her. "This took a bit more time than even getting the wine."
He hoped she would like it, he had debated a long while on which variety to bring her, considering the occassion, he decided it would be best to go simple. He watched to see what her reaction would be. He would expect that she wasused to being treated well at teh Harper workshop, much different than his upbringing as a fisherman.

The Harper blushed, well and truely, all the way up to her high cheekbones and down into the bodice of her dress. For a moment she just stared up at him, when she recovered enough she took the flower and stared at that. A Harper dumstruck, the voice inside her head laughed uproarusly. Sure she'd slept with men before, but they had never given her a flower, or much of anything for that matter. Tut tut, the little voice said, this man is playing the game better than you are. Well then, Kaminari responded, we just can't have that. Flower in hand she draped her long arms over his shoulders.
"My my bronzerider, you do know how to treat a lady." Kaminari stood up on her tiptoes and kissed him soundly on the lips. But as soon as she did, she had spun around behind him and stood in the hallway. After giving him the requsite moment to recovered she laughed and spun around in a circle. "Come on, you have to prove you can keep up with me, remember."

Z'rion knew he had done well when she was blushing but he had never expected what was to come next. After her, almost playful words she reached up and kissed him, a thing he would never have guessed woulf happen so soon. Her kiss was exquisite and left him both satisified and unsatisfied, for he did want another. He turned to see her lightly walking away from him before he could try to get another kiss. He would, by the end of the night he would ahve at least one more kiss... that was a promise, if only to himself.
"Lady, we will see who needs to keep up with whom." Hos smile was sincere, more so than usual. "Do you like spinning around in your gown, or shall I escort you properly?" He held out his arm customarily. She did not have to take his offer but he doubted she would entirely refuse it.

Stopping her wild spin, the Harper grinned. Oh he had recovered faster than she would have liked. Ah well, can't bat your eyes and make every male drop whatever he was doing. "Well spinning in circles can be quite entertaining, but I find it more enjoyable with two." Still laughing, Kaminari curtsied.
"Why m'lord," She said mockingly, "and here I'd thought you'd never ask." Looping her arm through his, her mind continued working. One was really entitled to have some fun after all, she couldn't spend every minute of the day learning all she could. Besides, she was sure this dashing young man must know enough in his own right. Why not mix both, who ever said you couldn't. "Well lead on then, I'm all yours for the evening." Just about now though, something to eat sounded like just the thing. Add on some of that Benden wine and some fabulous company and Kaminari was pretty sure she'd found one little evening's paradise.

"Well this way you will be less dizzy. Especially since I'd assume you want to drink some of that fine wine I brought for you." His charm never failed though he hoped he wouldn't have to share her too much tonight so many people always asked to dance with his partners...cause he was an excellent judge of character.
"I don't know about you, but I'm starving. First we should eat then I think we should dance... as much as possible. Viderieth loves dancing... he can't do it himself but he likes watching." Z'rion couldn't go more than a candlemark without talking about his beloved bronze but what rider could really? he never felt as strongly for anyone as he did his Bronze... the unconditional love.. that was what every person searched for with every moment that passed.

Kaminari grinned brightly, no doubt enough wine could make her as dizzy as any amount of spinning could. "That sounds like a wonderfull plan indeed." In fact it sounded just perfect to Kami. It wasn't often she got to enjoy a gather of any sort. Mostly she worked them. But she enjoyed that too, the things people said when they thought no one else could hear. At his comments about Viderieth she laughed.
"Oh I am sure he can dance as well in the sky as we could help hope to on the ground." The best way to ever get a rider to agree with anything was to flatter thier dragon. But in that case she honestly meant it. They were amazing creatures up close or wheeling about in the sky.

"I don't think that Viderieth has tried dancing in the sky... and now look, your giving him ideas..." Z'rion's face looked like a father's chiding a child. "He better not try it while I'm on him... if I fall and break my neck it will be all your fault." He raised an eyebrow, "Unless that was your plan?" After a mocking look his eyes were alight with mischief again and he was leading her closer to the Weyrhall, he thought he should be more gentlemanly, after all she would know more lordly men than he. "Enough talk of me, how are you finding the Weyr?" He had not forgotten it was new to her. When he first came he found it overwhelming but soon grew to like it.

The thought of a dragon dancing was quite the beautiful image and surely if any could pull it off it would be a young, strong creature like Z'rion's. She laughed at his comment about falling off his bronze, but something led her to believe that was a very unlikely thing to happen, skydancing or not. Kami batted him lightly on the arm. "You couldn't fall from his back if you wanted to." The young Harper grined and winked. "For the simple reason that you never quite get off."
As he changed the subject of the conversation she mused for a moment, so much for her doing the information gathering. But then, him wanting to know more about herself was only natural being the captivating person that she was. Kami quickly decided to answer him honestly and candidly, for the Weyr still held many discoveries yet to find.
"You Weyrfolk certainly aren't quite like anyone else. I really find this place fascinating, even if they did send me here to get out of the Masters' hair." Her dark eyes sparkled with mischief, knowing he could probably figure out why. "The dragons are... well amazing is the only word for them." And frightening, don't forget frightening; the little voice chided once again. Not like she was about to tell him that though. She doubted he could even imagine being the slightest bit nervous around the creatures. Kami forced her mind back from its tendency to tangents once again. "There is so much here that only your folk know. It seems a shame that such wonders are hidden away, despite the necessity."
