At his comment, Kami laughed quietly. Well he was certainly game, even if he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Poor thing, if he continued on this course he was sure to find out not that the chase wasn't half the fun. If he ever did catch her she wondered if he would have the same expression as a feline who caught its first tunnelsnake. The private thought highly amused her, what would he do?
When his arm slipped around her she simply let it and found something else to wonder at there. Chalk up another note for something a man had never done to her before. Well normally she didn't let them. But this was comfortable, far more comfortable than Kami would have expected. His confession brought her out of the reverie, well that certainly explained the odd hesitations in his step. Kami laughed quietly again. "Well I did say I had nothing better to do and getting lost is much more interesting with company."
When Z'rion did exclaim he knew where he was she breathed a small sigh of relief. If she was going to get lost, the bronzerider was the man to do it with. However lost was still lost, and after wandering back and forth between holds, Kami knew being lost could take up quite a big chunk of time. So his weyr was close to here, she couldn't have stopped the thoughts that ran into her head at that any more than she could stop the rise of the sun. Missing the feast could be as much fun as attending it. She grinned back up at Z'rion that expression made him look half his turns and the Harper laughed.
"Lucky us, its good to have you along. I don't ever think I would have made it on my own." Another laugh escaped her throat at the truth of it, she had to given herself a candlemark or two extra to get anywhere in these blasted winding corridors. "Now then good sir, which way shall we go?" There goes another poorly veiled comment, Kami sighed inwardly. Maybe if she was lucky he would just miss that one. Something told her he wouldn't though, and that wasn't an all together bad though either. So much for Harper training.

Z'rion laughed, "I think you would havhe done just fine without me. Even if it might take you longer to figure out where you were, you would find your way eventually. If this were my home I'd know it inside adn out but as I've been here just over two turns I have rarely had the chance to explore it. Candiate chores and Weyrling lessons will keep anyone busy enough to want to relax at the end of the day not run around getting lost. " He didn't like feeling that he knew less about the Weyr than he should but the truth was he never got lost int he jungles near his home or on the seas around there. It was these caverns that drove him crazy.
"Well now you know one way, how to get to my Weyr, so it wasn't a complete waste..." His eyes merrily moved on to avoid that subject too much... for as much as he wanted her to go to his weyr this moment he knew his presence would be required at the feast. "The Weyrhall is this way though." He pointed in the opposite direction of his weyr. "And as I'm the only Bronze Weyrling in my class, they will be expecting me." He looked slightly dissapointed in that fact.. he wished he could just not show up and do as he pleased.
Sometimes being a ranker had its downfalls. He looked back at the beautiful woman beside him. "I'd rather we could stay at my weyr and talk. Of course that would not have required us to dress so nicely. I think it will be just a fun to show up and look marvelous together. You alone could outshine any girl in the room." A charming almost debonaire smile on his face he waited to hear her reaction. Perhaps she would prefer to go to his weyr as well but he hoped she wouldn't mind waiting at least a few candlemarks. He wanted to be patient anyway. Yet again reminding himself he could not treat her like his affairs and short term relationships. She was much better than that.

Kaminari shook her head slowly and grinned. "No I'm afraid I never will, I've had to be rescued from these sharding tunnels twice already." The Harper had a mind suited for many things and quick observations and memorizations were one of them. But the Weyr's corridors seemed to elude her, she just couldn't keep track of them at all. However if that route led back to Z'rion's weyr she might just have to force herself to memorize it. As it was now however she had to leave a candlemark or two earlier if she ever wanted to make it somewhere on time, blasted windy halls.
Kami sighed melodramatically and held out her arms. "Oh the press of duty, shall it never end." She glanced up at Z'rion, dark eyes glinting with mischief. Then she placed her hands on thin hips and mock pouted. "Well of course I could." She flipped a strand of dark hair back and laughed again. "In any case I'm starving and as inviting as your weyr is, the idea of dancing, wine and food is slightly more seductive at the moment."
The Harper winked and swirled her skirts around. "Besides it would be a shame to get dressed up and then not be admired." Well alright, she'd be perfectly happy letting them be admired at the foot of the bronzerider's bed. In fact it was almost tempting enough for her to forget about food and dancing. Z'rion had his duty to do however, and if he missed the feast that would surely get some tongues wagging. Ah well, another time, there was always time for dalliances. She quickly suppressed the thought that this was more than that.
A wandering Harper such as herself had no time for anything more. Wandering... She would happily settle down here. Here? Or with him? Oh shards and shells, what was wrong with her tonight. Kami looked slyly up at Z'rion wondering what he was thinking at that moment. "I do believe if all bronzeriders are like yourself I am a doomed woman indeed."

(Is it bad that everytime I say years lately I ahve to keep myself from saying turns instead?)
" If you ever need assistance... I will rescue you you from the tunnels though that might not be as much of a rescue as being lost together rather than alone." She mentioned dancing and hhis mind went immediately to viderieth who...as he knew enjoyed the thought of dancing...it was so silly for a bronze to ahve such a strange admiration for it. Then again Videreith much like his rider was never like anyone else.
Z'rion once more glanced at her, flaunting her beauty. He would have to get a kiss later... oh yes. "Duty can be fun if you let it be. Besides I'm like the most popular Weyrling ever... so everyone will pretend to know me really well." He grinned, "All eyes on us I suppose." He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but in public he could do rather daring things.
"speakign of wine...do you think I could persuade you to share your Benden with me?" He was trying to charm her enough to let him. It was his favorite too. Well it was up to her. As for Bronzeriders he knew the truth was he wasn't liek anyone else. "If only that were true...I'm the only one like me really. somewhat of a unique individual. However many Bronzerider have alot of charm and wit, I hope you are on your toes in their company. If anyone is doomed its me."

(( *pats* nope it just means you're a little pern crazy ^_^ ))
Once again Kaminari found herself laughing. Not that being lost with Z'rion was a bad idea at all, in fact it was quite a good one. It was an idea she found herself quickly liking more and more The things one had to do to pass time until someone else could find them. The Harper stifled another giggle. Even if nothing happened, he was certainly the best company she'd ever had. So when he mentioned how popular he was she was sure he wasn't expanding much at all.
"Well then I supposed I am going to be the envy of quite a few young ladies by the end of tonight." While this may not be the best idea for relations inside the Weyr, Kami didn't really mind. Well actually, she rather liked the idea. Handing him back the skin of wine she grinned again. "A benden really is better shared with company, even if it does disappear faster that way."
A thought occurred to her then that Z'rion probably did have a gaggle of females following him around at all times. And for the first time in her young life, Kami did not like that idea much at all. Silly Harper, can't have any serious relationships anyway. It would inter fear with work, and who knows when she would be moved again to another place. A quiet sigh escaped her lips, well at least she could enjoy it while it lasted.

(lol... i feel so much better.... ) Z'rion tried not to think about things too much at the moment. He was playing everything by ear. Yes he did have quite a few admirers but mostly because he was rather funny and charming...it wasn't like he was leading them all on. At least he didn't think he was. "I wouldn't concern myself with the other girls there if I were you. After all I didn't invite them to go with me and I don't share Benden with just anyone." He didn't want her to have any second thoughts about how this night was going to be. He held the Benden but didn't attempt to drink from the skin he would wait till they got there. Besides it was better nto to drink before the festivites. He wouldn't be able to dance well if he drank too much. He knew Kaminari would be looking forward to dancing. "Sometimes I wish I had no rank..." He really did just want to sail off on a boat sometimes and leave the world to take care of itself.

((lol yay! *pats more* ))
Kaminari poked him in the arm. "Oh dear I hearts will be broken tonight. Maybe as much over the loss of that fantastic wine as much as your company." She winked, avoiding any serious implications or ideas. Kami flipped her hair back jokingly. "In any case I do plan to wholly monopolize you this evening." This evening and maybe well into the morning.
Kami smoothed a wrinkle that had gathered at her hips, too bad those were so boyish. Her chest too was almost as flat as a man's. While these facts had been very useful in her past she found herself regretting them now. But then again Z'rion would have to have been a wherry brained fool to choose any other woman. And she knew he was not that at all.
When he mention his rank she tilted her head. That was one thing she loved about being a Harper, and the main reason she would never become a Master. Being free to wander the length and breadth of Pern was much more interesting than being stuck in a stuffy hold teaching youngsters. "Ah but rank gets things done." She grinned brightly, "And with a Harper like myself at your side there isn't much you couldn't get done. Besides one can always disappear for a day or two."

"Maybe more hearts will be broken as I will be monopolizing your time tonight ." Z'rion winked and full of mischief as he was he watched as she smoothed her dress out...of course he didn't care about the dress but was checking her out. He liked everything about her. "You are gorgeous." He added. Of course she probably had enough people say that to her but he meant it. Also he felt pblogated to tell a beautiful woman she was beautiful as often as possible. It was good for them to hear it. Women seemed to always try to find flaws in themselves.
"Yes well I might not be able to sneak away for a day or two as easily as a few candlemarks... but I'm sure I could manage it somehow." He wondered how late they were after getting lost... oh well people would just have to deal with his tardiness... at least he was going when he could have this wonderful woman back at his weyr right now.
"At least with a Bronze dragon I can escort lovely young Harpers to far off places." He was enjoying that thought immensley. Obviously in no real rush to get to the feast... except that he was growing exceptionally hungry.

Kaminari blushed well and truely from the top of her head to where small breasts were covered by the dress. Well that had caught her by surprise, she took a deep breath and then grinned up at him. all the while trying to recover her poise. "Well then it seems we will both be breaking some hearts tonight and as well we should. I would hate to have gotten all dressed up not too."
For what seemed the hundreth time tonight, Kami found herlsef laughing like a silly holdbred girl. This man seemed as fast with a line as she could be and that was a wonderful novelty for the Harper. "Oh I'm sure you could manage it with those pirate tendancies of yours. No doubt you have a hidden cove with a shack you and Viderieth escape to."
Her stomach too, growled at the thought of all the good food that would be laid out at the feast. In fact it was all she could do not to start jogging. All this getting lost and enjoying herself had increased her appetites, for food as well as other things. She glanced up at Z'rion again, knowing similar thoughts were gracing his mind, well at least guessing they were. "After we eat you are welcome to carry me off to anywhere at all."

He had been quick witted tonight he knew it... and she was enjoying it too it seemed. He stopped himself from laughing when she blushed. It was cute when she did it well compared to him blushing which would be very very seldom. He knew better than to blush in front of her. "I too. Its rare that I ahve to dress up for an occassion at home. I really hope they don't reuire me to dress up a lot... I'd prefer tp be comfortable."
No... he had no hidden shack. that was a good idea. Maybe he could find a place near his parents, now that would be a paradise to go to. He would have to go there with the intention of visiting family part of the time but he would have plenty of time to relax... he could just picture the lush tropical forests with the blooming flowers and the thick air. He missed it not nearly as much as he missed the sea but that would just make him depressed so he stopped thinking about it.
He thought about her comment a moment there was more meaning there than he should be thinking about. Then before he knew it they were at the entrance to the weyrhall. "Ready? Lets get something to eat..." He grinned at her, taking her arm to escort her into the Weyrhall.

Dressing up, while a bother really was a bit of a treat for the Harper. She spent far too much of her time being invisible. And despite what one could get done while being unseen, it really was far more fun to be admired. The thought of food, and now the smell was enough to drive one wild, so other thoughts were abandoned for the moment. Oh this promised to be so much better than what she was used to. In fact everything at the Weyr was better than she was used to.
Kaminari smiled brightly and rested her free hand on their lined arms. "As ready as I'll ever be, lead on sir rider." There really was nothing quite as entertaining as food, wine, good company and dancing. And she hadn't been to any sort of feast she hadn't been working at in a long time. "Just as long as you remember not to step on my feet." She winked up at Z'rion. "Would be mighty embarassing to leave with a limp."

(Mind if we skip the Weyrhall... since the thread is gone...lol... we can start a new one wherever you would like ) Z'rion led them into the Weyrhall immediately greeted by other Weyrlings that had just graduated. Tongiht would be fun for them.He wasn't suprised that so many of them were shocked to see he had someoen to accompany him. He generally picked girls up at the party he didn't have to bring them. "I would never step on your feet...I'm not that bad a dancer." He grinned. Then sated them both at Ardeo Table to get some food.
