Killian shook a playful finger in her direction. “Now don’t think you can weasel out of it that easily… no more talking bad about your self…” he turned is nose back up stopping the taping. “I’m not sure if I should tell you… promise you won’t say anything else bad and then I’ll explain. But not a moment before!” he scrutinized her again. Though his mouth twitched as he tried to hide the smile that was forming. It as all quite funny, though he was very serious about her not saying anything about herself like that, how was he supposed to build her up if she kept knocking herself down?

Apri was about to argue again, until he mentioned explaining? What part of the test needed to be explained? Well now she was just plain curious, enough so to drop the argument. Nodding, she sat down on the bed and waited for an explanation until she realized once again that she needed to speak, not nod. Blushing she smiled.
?Explain what?? the curious tone in her voice painfully obvious.

Killian relaxed his arms and shook his head, “I haven’t heard a promise yet… say, ‘and I won’t talk bad about myself anymore.’ I want to hear it…” he started taping his foot again, hands on his hips. He continued this for a wile before he spoke again stopping the taping and putting his hands down. “As for explaining… it was a very interesting test, and I have been wanting to tell someone so for my sake please promise?” he tried to give her a puppy dog look, though again missed horribly.

Apri pursed her lips wondering if it would truly be worth promising such things for. While it wasn?t like it was a horrible promise, it was simply the fact that it would be a hard habit to break and that she simply didn?t want to give into it. Hearing his next words and finding the strangest look on his face, Apri?s stubbornness melted instantly.
?You are horrible to tease me so?? she said faking a pout. ?Alright, alright. I promise. Now tell me.? Apri wondered briefly if she?d have to repeat him word for word, then decided to just do it anyways to save time. ?I promise I?ll try not to talk bad about myself? there. Happy??

Killian perked up instantly, deciding to ignore the, ‘try’ for now. “Yes thank you.” He practically glowed as moved more into the room. “And yes I must tease you, who else could I tease?” he moved to the couch, remembering exactly where it was and plopping down heavily.
“Now where should I start…?” an evil grin spread across his face, yes he was quite proud of his test. He was not a conceded man, fare from it, but even he could not say that he did not perform splendidly. “Well at first I made it as hard for them as I possibly could, and after that trial thing you can’t blame me, so though I passed the written part flawlessly they had an interesting time first transferring everything to hide and then putting up with me singing everything out loud before writing it down… then they couldn’t read my writing so they had an apprentice write it out, I wish I could have seen them pulling there hair out.”

Pursing her lips again as Killian asked who else he could tease, Apri sat herself lightly on the corner of her bed as she listened. Eyes growing a little wide at first, she couldn?t hide the smile that had formed on her face by the end. She had seen him write and looking at the final product you?d have never guessed it had been written by a blind man.
?Oh that is just mean? I know your handwriting and its far from illegible.? She said, but did not continue so that he could finish the story.

Killian just continued to smirk shrugging. “well like I said they deserved it, and I didn’t feel at all bad when we moved to the practical part, they decided it would take three of them to test me.” He held up three fingers for infes, “when normally there is just one or two. Anyway, they had Master Ayame, Remon, and Tekal, who is a gitt by the way. Now this has a back story, You see Master Tekal was trying to show up Master Remon once by writing a peace that neither of them could play, though he never told Remon that he couldn’t play it either. So back to the testing, I managed to dig up that peace and I played it for my chosen peace, adding lyrics.” Just to add insult to injury but that went without saying.
He held up his hand to stop any comments or praise though he didn’t think anywhere really coming. “Now don’t go thinking I’m that good because I did make some changes to the part though nothing really big. He was fuming, I could smell it in the air but the others liked it. Now then they tried to find a peace I hadn’t played before, which took forever as they kept finding ones I had already memorized, and I had to read through the hole thing first before I could tell them that… Tekal was so mad that I had to read through them first but he couldn’t find a way around that… any way Master Ayame came to the rescue and gave me a peace she had written but never showed any one yet… then it was over. They didn’t tell me if I passed but as soon as Master Tekal and Remon where gone Master Ayame assured me I would be walking the tables.” He was quite pleased with himself, not because he had done a good job but because he had managed to pay the masters back for their rudeness in a very round about but successful manner.

Apri listened silently, allowing the harper before her to finish her story although she had to stifle a giggle when he mentioned the difficulties of finding a piece of music for him. At the mention of a piece by Master Ayame, she perked up however, but said nothing until he was done.
“So you passed?... That’s wonderful Killian.” she said, happy for the man. “… The piece… what was it like?... when I… I went in she had me play a piece by her as well… I’m just wondering if perhaps it was the same one.”

Killian shrugged again, “to be honest I don’t remember the name…” he blushed slightly, that wasn’t like him at all but he was more into annoying the masters to bother remembering everything about the peace. “it was lovely… a slow one to counter the fast one I played as a chosen peace, which was a relief as my fingers where rather sore…”
He stood stretching and listening to his back pop back into place. “it could have been the same, I know she doesn’t compose much but what she dose is really good and she dose tend to be very proud of it.” He ran his hand though his hair shaking out more salt. “Anyway I think I need to take a bath so if you don’t want to switch rooms I can leave you to your privacy…”

Hearing the mention of a bath, Apri instantly found herself feeling identically in need of one. Smiling, she stood and nodded to Killian even though she knew he could not see it.
“Actually, a bath sounds wonderful… do you think they will have our things up before dinner?” Apri wasn’t sure what would be in the wardrobe right now, if anything, or if there were any bathing cloths in the washroom. Guess there was only one way to find out though. She didn’t like the idea, however, of going to dinner in dirty clothes. She was looking forward to being able to wash everything.

“Oh I’m sure they will be up any moment now, with out luck they will come in leave everything on the bed and leave again, wile we’re in the bath.” He shrugged none of that mattered to him, he could wait for hours in the tub for them to get there he was hungry but he would not resort to wearing dirty and in his case torn clothes to the first diner with his family in twelve turns.
“Well I am rather stinky and I’m afraid if a stay any longer it will seep into your couch and I defiantly don’t want that…” and with a bow (his ribs really where feeling much better though it still hurt) he left her room closing the door between them and heading straight for the bath gingerly removing his tunic as he moved.
He wasn’t gone for three minuets when a sharp nock came from Apricus’s front door.

Apri bit her lip as she watched Killian leave before moving to the washroom and leaning inside. On a hook on the wall hung a bathrobe and below it on a small table sat a towel and washcloth along with a bag of sweetsand. Smiling, she stepped in looking at the washtub before finding how to fill it. Beginning the process, she jumped as the knock came.
Hesitating a moment, she almost considered not answering it, but then remembered her bag was suppose to be coming. Standing, she swiftly moved to the door to open it a crack and peak thru.
“Hullo?”

Big surprise but Vinrin was standing on the other side of the door, Apricus’s bag in hand and with a burly man behind him caring a very large trunk. “Good evening Apritus! I’m glad you found your room well.” His smile was wide and reminiscent of Killians grin though a bit more… scary… perhaps because it was so similar. With his free hand he opened the door the rest of the way, coming right in and gesturing for his partner to come behind him. “Just set it there…” he pointed to the couch where the man immediately dropped the chest before Vinrin shooed him out. “Now go go. They shared a brief peck on the lips before he left closing the door behind him.
Vinrin sighed before turning back to the woman, “ah that’s my man… isn’t he charming?” he didn’t wait for any answer however as he swept to the chest and opened it enthusiastically pulling out dress after dress that resembled robes more then anything else. “So my dear Apritus, I have these brand new, never been worn by another dresses, so which do you like?” they where all very conservative once warn with long sleeves and thick belts to hid and accent figures all at the same time. They had stiff colors and where all highly embroidered with different sights and things.

Apri found herself having to move quickly as the door was pushed farther open. Stumbling back, she watched wide-eyed as the two men helped themselves into her room and wider still as they kissed eachother before parting. Two men!
As the door closed behind her, she couldn’t help but stare as Vinrin began instantly to pull dress after dress from the chest. How could one person, one man, have so many? Even if it was his trade… It just seemed so… strange to have so many on hand.
“I really don’t need a dress…” she said softly, even as she stepped forward for a closer look. Her curiosity got the better of her at the strange style. She had witnessed many different styles growing up in the caravan she did, but she hadn’t seen this island’s style before, which by the look of the style and the women she had grown up with it was no wonder that she hadn’t.
Beautiful as the fabrics were, she couldn’t help but notice how high the collar would easily go and how close to the floor it fell. The belt would hide her hips and the designs would hide the shaply form of her chest. Not only did the dress offer so much ‘blurr’ but it also looked so soft, softer and smother than any material she had seen before.

“Oh none since…” he waved her protests away still not looking up from the deep trunk as he pulled out more dresses. “Now I know I said green would be your color but the more I think about it the more I want Killian in something black with silver accents… so perhaps a dark forest green? Almost black but not quite? Like this one!” finally finding the one he was looking for he pulled it out with a flourish, holding it up to the light.
It was a deep green like an emerald seen at night, with a tree embroidered from the bottom up in silver and deep burnished gold thread. “Or this one!” it was also a deep green though a tad darker and with a rippling affect as though it was seen in the refection of a lake with lighter green embroidery. “Or any of these.” He gestured to all of the others now strewn about the room that suddenly seemed much smaller. “If you don’t like them I have more…. But I will not leave until you have a new dress for Diner tonight!” he stomped his slipered foot and crossed his arms over his chest stubbornly.
