Revonna led the poor girls to the infirmary and stopped at the first healer. "These girls were attacked by firelizards. I applied some numbweed, but I'm afraid that some of the cuts are going to need stitches." She showed the woman the cuts on the two girls and indicated those that might need stitches. Revonna had a rare moment of compassion and did not reveal how they had received those cuts. She believed that they had been embarressed enough.

((L'kel really really needs something to do...i hope you don't mind me jumping in. I apoligise if i am going to over the top on L'kel's school boy crush. I don't want him to go quite to stalker material))
L'kel swatted almost angrily at the poor apprentice healer who had been asssigned to him. What was the lads name, um... Gerrel he thought. Healing for a boy, by the egg! That was a woman's job. Fractured, they had said, fractured! Stupid, bloody Weyrlings! Why couldn't they just not be clumsy for once?! He would probably not be allowed to fly for days at least. "Please sir...you must drink the tonic...it'll stop the pain." The snivvleing apprentice held the bottle out to the dark rider with shaking hands as if he excpected the bottle would soon be shoved back through his face, which, judging by the giant rider's anger, just might happen. L'kel grudginly agreed, taking a swig of the misture with his eyes squeezed shut. Ewwkkk! That stuff was nasty!...Mnemozyth i might need to have you fly up here and rescue me. He thought to himself sacrcastically. The dragon replied to him with a sort of chuckle. The dragon and rider understood each other perfectly.
His thoughts were interrupted as he saw his dark angel flow into the room. Revonna, he said quietly, his words escaping like an angel's breath. He felt no more anger, no more pain. She was there; his godess, his passion. He would kiss her feet and her dress...he would kiss everything on her in fact. The Sodalis Jr. was taking wounded candidates up to the infirmary, like the charitable and good woman she was. How could those other stupid riders say that she was mean and cold. She was so kind and caring, people just didn't understand her was all. He understood her though. He had studies her carefully, he knew that his Mnemozyth would fly her Rylonith next and then all would be well.
He snapped momentarily out of his daydreams has he noticed the actualy patients that had come to the infirmiry. No what had happened to them...and-and why would flits attack them. His dragonrider instincts overode both the mixture of tonic and love that had clouded his mind to make him wonder...?

"Really, I am fine." Amneris said protestingly. She really wanted her gitar. She had completely ignored herhead wounds and had begun to get a dreamy look to her again. The little brown flit in her hands was sleeping soundly. Wonder what to name him...
She stood there thinking of names and paying absolutely no attention to what anyone was saying. Names names...He was cute, ravenously hungry and sleepy. His personality was that of a baby flit. He seemed pretty normal so far. He was a sweet one for sure. Maybe she would name him after he showed his personality more.

Amoare followed the other two women into the room, stopping and turning so Revonna could show some of the cuts on her back. The major stinging was gone, but there was still a dull ache to some of them that the numbweed hadn't touched. Thru all her life, Amoare had played tag with the other weyrbrats in the hatching sands when they were not occupied by a queen. Never before had they found a flit clutch hidden inside...
The bronze flit moved slightly, reposistioning himself and Amoare gave a weak smile. A flit! Sure she'd dreamed of riding a golden queen, but never before had a flit crossed her mind. She was thankful for it though. She'd never let the precious thing get hurt. Feeling the flits sleepyness, Amoare couldn't help but let out a loud yawn. What time was it anyways?

L'kel turn around on the bed which he was propped up on. His questions multiplying by the second. Flits don't just attack people at random only when...only when they fear for their clutch. Now what had these little candidates been doing?
He looked at the two girls, surveying their injuries.
He spoke with his usual low and intense voice, "So...what happened to you to? A flit attack eh?" Even he was suprised at the bit of humor that found its way into his voice. The truth was the two girls actually were a bit of an amusing sight.
He looked expectantly into there faces with the same look he used when directing the riders in his Wing.

Amoare glanced up in surprise to the mans voice. Finding his face, a name popped into her head just as names tended to do when she seen a Sodalis rider. Mnemozyth. She frowned. That wasn't his name, that was a name of a bronze. Then she smiled, realizing this man was his rider... What was his name? L'kel. Amoare applauded herself for being raised in the weyr and being so good with names.
"Hello L'kel. How fairs Mnemozyth?" she said with a smile before realizing he was expecting an answer. The frown returned to her face and she looked down ashamed. "We... uh... Yeah, a flit attack." she said simply hoping he'd allow her to leave it at that. At the moment her pride was deeply wounded and she was regreting her choice to play tag with the other weyrbrats...

Amneris looked at the man. Must be a rider. Then heard Amoare speak. Then he was a rider and hih ranking probably if this candidate knew him. Holding out her small brown.
"We had a bit of an accident on the hatching sands." She realized a bit too late that by showing the man her new flit she was also showing her uningured arms. Her head had several minor cuts but she didn't have any on her arms at all.
She didn't need another person telling her to protect her head. Right now what she really wanted was to leave and get her gitar. Then possibly head to the river and lay down in the sun, thinkign of a new song. All of which could be done with Tipp and Note at her side and this new little brown flit

Well the two girls obviously didn't want to go into detail so he wouldn't bother them on it...yet. One of the girls knew his name and dragon, that pleased him greatly. "Mnomzyth fairs well thankyou. He is a fine dragon...so are you two some of H'mei's?" So they were playing in the hatching sands were they. L'kel remembered doing the same thing with P'iello as a candidate...but he prefered not to think about it. Too many sad memories.
Rembering his old friend made him soften up a bit. He hadn't had a nice conversation with someone outside of training for oh, months maybe. "You both Impressed flits! By the egg thats mighty lucky." He wondered if those were the reserved eggs in the sands but decided not to read into it. "I have a Brown flit two...his name is Eko. He is named after my sister. I belive the lazy lout is laying asleep on the chair in the corner." His usual gruffness was back in his voice but his eyes were soft and his comment good natured.
He was a keen man and had noticed the Brown flit owner's arms were fine but her head was a little worse for wear. By the way the girl tried to hide her arms from him no doubt she had been told off enough for not protecting her brain. A harper then...sometimes L'kel wondered how much sense Harpers really did have, oh well, these girls had certainly learned their lessons. He looked at the first girl, the one who knew him, "So...which color did you Impress?"

Amoare blushed a deep red at L'kel's question and left her eyes on the ground as her arms wrapped protectivly around her abdomin where the little bronze was still fast asleep. He wouldn't take him away, would he? She knew, however, that it would be disrespectful to not answer a ranking riders question.
Nodding to his first question she answered with a bashful smile. "Yes, we are candidates..." she cast a glance at Amneris. She thought she was a candidate anyways...
"A... a bronze." she said to his next question a little unsure of how he would react.

Amneris smiled, "I've yet to name the little fellow. Tipp and Half Note may have a bit of trouble getting used to the firelizard. Which reminds me." she said turning to the healer. "Can I please leave soon?"
Neris would have come up with an excuse but decided that perhaps an excuse such as hers would not be welcome in this place. Frankly she didn't care if the junior weyrwoman hated her.
Amneris undervalued herself most of the time due to her dreaminess people generally undervalued her as well. A dragon would never want her so why was she here? Couldn't she just go back to the harpers...at least there she could get away with slacking on her chores by being an exceptional vocalist.
"Is there any way I could get out of here in the next few minutes?" She looked around her for support on that. All the while thinking that the Harpers were going to kill her for being late. "I have a rehearsal to attend." She failed to mention that it was for an upcoming gather. These people were intent on making her stay and be treated. Treated for what? A few minor head injuries. Her mother would have made her do twenty chores for being reckless but never have taken the time to examine the wounds. Superficial as she kept saying they were. Well one on the back of her head hurt a little but it was probably just positioning.
Amneris would never have mentioned that she was beggining to feel light headed. Her eyes were beggining to get fuzzy. "Tell me the room is not spinning." she whispered to her flit. She began to portray signs of someone who had a head injury. Now that her body knew she was safe it was alright for her to pass out, which she was incredibly close to doing.

L'kel grinned apprecatively at Amoare, "A Bronze eh...don't worry i couldn't take him awayeven if i had wanted to. He's your forever now" He said noticing her fear and reluctance, "Now, i love my Eko, but Bronzes are the best. And don't you forget it it." He smiled. Amoare was a lovely girl. He hoped she would Impress, he had seen to many deserving young girls nevre find their dragon.
His attention was then taken by the other girl...Amneris. Yup, she was definatly a Harper and no doubt itching to get back to her playing. He grinned a little, but then thought of how rude she was being to Revonna. He would not condone that ever. Oh well, she was just a child, if she did Impress she would learn to respect the Sodalis Jr.
He peered closer at her as he saw her sway a little. It looked as if the headwounds had started to take their toll. He could hear her small whisper to her flit...spinning eh? She certainly didn't look good. He prepared himself to catch her if she she happened to fall.

Revonna had her back to the girls, only half listening to the words spoken by the pair and L'kyl? L'kil... at least she thought his name was L'kil. 'At least he might be able to keep them out of trouble for a bit a… and out of my hair.'
It took a moment to go over a treatment plan with Monica's assistant. 'Incompetence... sheer incompetence. I don't know how half these people ever make it above apprentice.'
Hearing one of the girls mention leaving... the senseless Harper she thought, Rev turned, rounding on the girl. "You will leave when I give you permission... until then you are staying right here and I don't want to hear another word about leaving. I had better things to do... much better things than a rehearsal. If I can take the time to be here, getting you help you can be a little late for practice." The gold rider's eyes flashed, her voice held a bit of a cold edge... did they not realize the extent of what they had done?
Hearing the girl and disregarding the presence of the bronze rider, Revonna shot out an arm, snaking her fingers around the fleshy upper portion. "Are you all right?"

Amnreis looked slightly upset by the woman's statement that whatever she had planned was less important than the Jr Weyrwoman's plans. Of course the young harper was a bit self centered some of the time, who wasn't. the sad fact was that the girl still thought very much like a young girl and not like a candidate.
The dizziness continued until she felt near to falling over, thats when she felt Revonna reaching fior her. Amneris was unable to focus. Her eyes began to roll into her head as she slowly began to lose conciousness. "No...not alright. Everything is starting to grow fuzzy...and dark."
That was the last think Amneris remembered as she fell into the darkness that was unconciousness. Her body was punishing her for failing to protect her head.. at least thats how she felt.

Amoare watched wide-eyed as the candidate fainted in Revonna's arms. What happened? Would she be ok? Am I going to faint too? Thoughts flooded Amoare's mind as she watched. Surely it wasn't serious... but would she have fainted if it wasn't serious?
Amoare swallowed hard, trying to keep back panic. Once she thought she had control of herself again, she spoke up in a quivering voice, "Is she... Is she ok? Will she be alright?" The last thing Amoare wanted was for a weyrbrat to be lost due to her supidity for falling into a flits clutch.

L'kel was slightly annoyed that the girl had fainted. He had liked talking with the other girl...Amoare or something. This other one was a bit silly in his opinion. L'kel made an imapatient gesture towards the healer assistant closest to him. 'Healer...there is a girl here. I belive she needs some Healing. You do that right?" He said in a bored and annoyed voice. By Faranth, he thought. This infirmary was filled by fools, and L'kel had no time for fools. Good thing Revonna ha caught the girl though, for he doubted he would have in time with his borken wrist. Now Revonna, he thought, was no fool.

L'kel's stern expression melted liek butter. As much as he tried to hide it, he did have a soft spot inside him, and this amoare girl had somehow hit it. "Yah...I'm sure she will be fine." He turned to the healer, saying his next words in an obnoxiously loud voice, "If the Healers don't mess her up, that is." He really had had enough hof healers today. It wasn't there fault his arm was in a sling, but that didn't make a difference to L'kel. He did shed his sour face to give Amoare a quick smile, though.
