The feeling of something tickle her foot made her gasp out in surprise. Luckily she closed her mouth just as she was dragged under. Opening her eyes under the surface, she found herself face to face with P’resh. Holding in the laughter, her eyes danced playfully.
Pulling herself closer to him, she placed her hands on his shoulders so she wouldn’t drift away. Kicking her foot to free it from its ticking captor, she ran one hand down his chest to the edge of his pants then back up again before pushing him away.

As P'resh came to the surface, he gasped. That grab for his pants had made him suck in water.
"Fall, woman!" he roared, laughing. "Are you out to get me?" he asked jokingly. He swam over to Kaunth, who was now resting in the shallows, letting his back dry out of water in the sun. Climbing on his back, he leaned over the side of the dragon and looked at Amoare. "Want to come lay down with me? Lues can come," he said.

Amoare surfaced and laughed at P’resh’s exclamation. “I thought you weren’t ticklish!” she said thru the laughter. “And yes I am out to get you. You haven’t told me what you picked up yet!”
Accepting the offer to lay in the sun, she swam over toward the bronze. Finding him too tall to scramble up, she reached her arms up toward P’resh. “Can I get a lift?” she asked with a smile. Sometimes she regretted not hitting her growth spurt yet.

"Of course, m'dear," P'resh replied. He bent over the side of the dragon, and firmly grasping her wrists, pulled her up. "Sorry, Kaunth, did I hurt you?" P'resh asked.
No, Kaunth replied, sounding bothered to have been woken up. P'resh layed back down on his back, being careful to avoid ridges.
"If you were planning on coming up here to hassle me about whatever it is I was doing in the jungle today, you might as well hold your runners. You'll find out later," he told her mysteriously.

Amoare sat next to P’resh on Kaunth’s large back, looking out over the river. As Lues landed next to her, she stroked him, listening to what P’resh had to say. At his words, her lips moved into a pout, but she quickly changed her mind as another method of getting what she wanted came to mind.
Leaning on her side so she was propped up on one elbow, Amoare reached over with the other arm and lightly ran her fingers down the length of his chest. “Well at least tell me why you won’t tell me.” she said smiling as she hoped to find whatever ticklish spot she thought she had found in the water.

On any other day, this would have so charmed P'resh into giving up any secret he had. Unfortunatly, today was not that day. As P'resh laid there, thinking of how to get out of this situation, he thought of one little word.
"No," he told her. "I will not tell you anything of the such. And, for your own knowledge, I was not really tickled in the water, but something a bit like it. So you might as well stop tickling," he said, siezing her hand and kissing it. He looked at her. "You look great today."

A look of disappointment crossed Amoare’s face as she listened to the rider explain that he hadn’t been tickled in the water. He did make one mistake however, in saying ‘you might as well stop tickling’… Amoare’s smile was back on her face with a dash of mischief.
“Oh so it does tickle?” she asked. Leaning over she smiled, “You look great soaking wet too.” Amoare spoke softly as she grew closer to his lips. Giving him a long kiss, she let her hand drop from his to rest on the side of his face.
It didn’t stay there however, but instead started to move down toward P’resh’s stomach again ¾’s of the way thru the kiss. She still wasn’t sure exactly where it was that her hand had hit that it ‘tickled’ but she was bound determined to find the exact spot, especially if he wasn’t going to tell her what she wanted to know.

Grinning through the kiss, P'resh used his hand to put her still-wet hair behind her shoulder and proceeded to brush her neck. "Didn't we play this game the other night?" he asked. "I think we did," he replied, confirming his own question. "Besides, I'm telling you, I'm not ticklish in very many places at all. And certainly not on my stomach, silly girl!" he told her, hand now moving to brush her side.
Kaunth started to shift in the water. "This great lump has fallen asleep, I think, Amoare," P'resh told her.
Have not, the dragon told him sleepily.
"Oh, excuse me, he denies it," he said, silently nodding his head emphantically to confirm him own beliefs. He laid back down and closed his eyes against the sun. "Besides, you'll find out tonight what I was doing today."

As his hand brushed her neck, Amoare suddenly found herself short for air and silently cursed. Stopping her hand, she pushed away from him in a fit of giggles as he brushed her side. “That is so not fair!” she said attempting to sound angry but failing miserably. “And no, I hadn’t tried the stomach yesterday.”
A small hiss could be heard as Lues seen the man’s hands wandering where he didn’t think they should be. She was HIS after all. Moving to sit smugly between them, he curled up neck to Amoare’s elbow and simply glared at P’resh. Amoare laughed at her little bronze and moved away from P’resh without complaint, well all except a leg that had somehow ended up intertwined with his. The flit failed to notice.
Looking to the sky, Amoare watched the clouds pass by for a moment before speaking again. “So we’ll hang out again tonight?” she asked a little distracted by her thoughts. She liked the idea, remembering how much fun she had with him the last time.

"Oh, little bronze, it's fine, see?" P'resh told Lues, pulling his hand away. Kaunth rumbled beneath all of them, a sort of dragonsnore.
Slightly wriggling his entwined leg, he looked at her when she asked about the probability of the two spending time together that evening. "Well, of course," he told her, deciding to drop a hint. "If you don't come up to my Weyr tonight, it'll spoil and be ruined," he said mysteriously. "H'mei wouldn't let me put it in the candidate barracks," he said, slightly pouting. It didn't fit P'resh to not have his way.

Amoares thoughts were put on hold as she recognized a hint being dropped. Forgetting the flit she rolled onto her side and smiled at P’resh. “I thought you weren’t going to tell me.” A screech halfway thru her words made her look down and jump rather quickly as she found the flit squished between them.
Laughing as she sent soothing thoughts at the flit, she couldn’t help but glance at P’resh, her eyes dancing with laughter. This only sent Lues into an amazing vocabulary of sounds as he reprimanded her before taking off. Seeing the picture of her bed in her mind, Amoare could only shout after him. “Sweet Dreams Love!”
Looking at P’resh, she couldn’t help but laugh harder thinking of what he must thought for such antics by Lues. Giving in, she snuggled closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. Throwing an arm around his chest, she hugged him as she thought about what could be spoiled yet not placed in the barracks. “I’m glad. I really like spending time with you.” she said in simple truth.

When Lues screeched, P'resh's eyes flew open. Watching the flit jump up and between away, he laughed and shook his head. "And they say green flits are flight," he told Amoare. "And I'm not going to tell you, I'm going to tantalize you with secrets and hints."
When she snuggled close into him, her now-cold hair brushed against his side, but he ignored it, laying a hand on the arm that had been thrust across his chest.
"I know," he said, "It's good to be with you too. I should ask H'mei if I can take you to see the ocean. Have you ever seen it?" he asked, curious about where she had been and what she'd seen in her lifetime.

At the mention of teasing her with secrets and hints, Amoare simply sighed, still distracted at finding what on Pern he could have picked up that’d spoil and why he’d want to leave it in the barracks.
The idea of seeing the ocean brough Amoare back up on her elbow rather quickly, leaning over P’resh. “The Ocean? Really?” Exhilaration was evident on her face and the thoughts of what he’d gotten were quickly lost. “No I’ve never seen it, I’ve never stepped foot outside this weyr.”

"Really, now?" he said, very simply surprised. "Well, we'll just have to find out what H'mei says. I don't think he'll let his very best Gold candidate go to the jungles, but the worst thing about the ocean are packtail, and I don't intend to make you collect packtail slime." He smiled at her, already getting excited. He liked to go see the views from different places. Then he remembered a small detail coming up, and frowned, almost pouting. The senior queen was due for a flight soon, he had heard, and then a Hatching. If she Impressed any thing (and much less the gold), she wouldn't be going anywhere for a year and a half.
"We'll char that thread when it nears," he mumbled aloud.

Seeing the Bronzer’s face turn into a frown that looked more of a pout, Amoare found her excitement diminish slightly as she wondered what was wrong. Not wanting anything to upset P’resh, she moved closer and kissed him. “Whats wrong?” she asked when she heard him voice the charring of thread.
Moving her hand from his side to his collar bone, she watched his face a little worried. This was the first time she’d seen him ‘pout’ and already she felt the need to correct it. She could instantly tell she’d probably never be able to say no to such a face, but at the moment it didn’t matter if she would be able to or not because she wouldn’t want to. Something was bothering him and she only wanted to dispel whatever it was.
