Exidron was still the new face in the crèche with two others he had come with in the small group of foster children, though both of the other ones were just tots. Even at his meager seven turns hold he was the older of that particular group that had been traded with the Weyr. Traded again. Exidron didn’t care to count how many times he’d been traded since he lost his siblings, it was well onto the second hand and nearly to the third. He didn’t have much hope of staying here either.
Done washing the tables for the lady who had asked him, he folded the rag carefully and laid it on the edge of the water bucket before looking around for the lady to tell her he was done. Not finding her, he shrugged and noticed the door going outside. Well if she wasn’t watching him it was her fault if she lost him. He had noticed that at other places, even though he had been the one to wander off after chores were done he got the much lighter reprimand.
Walking to the door he paused looking outside. The sun hurt his eyes as a slight headache pulsed in his small head, but even so he was glad to smell fresh air after breathing in the smell of soap while washing those tables. Deciding to sit down, he did just that just outside the door of the large stone building that made up the eating hall. Half listening to the whispers that were so much louder at the Weyr, he leaned his head back and closed his eyes trying not to think of how his head hurt.

((So sorry for the wait))
Zylaera's red blonde hair was tied up but strands were falling out of the leather holder. She pulled at the band roughly and shook out her strawberry maine. She was pissed as a hungry dragonet. Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes were wide and dark. 'Who the fall did he think he was?' She thought furiously to herself. 'Those sharding Desta riders...' They mightlook angelic but if you telll your wingsecond you were late for morning drills because your father was ill, when you had actually woken up late in his Weyr, he'd rat you out in a minute. She was going to flame Du'maine for this.
And now, on her day off, which seemed to come so rarely, she was stuck cleaning. "First sweep the entry way, than wash down the walls...they're looking grimy. Report back later and we'll see what you can do." She mimicked and a high, annoying voice. She hated those sharding rankers. She scuffed her boots against the stone floor and dragged her broom along the ground. She stomped outside the walls, looking only at her feet and began sweeping around the entrance.
Her broom ran into a pair of feet. They weren't hers. She looked up to see a young boy, leaning back, eyes closed. "Hey, dimglow, you mind?" She spat combatively. She could be mean when she was angry.

Exidron jumped in surprise as something bumped his feet rather strongly. Opening his eyes and standing up very quickly, he found himself looking up at a rather angry red haired woman. Hearing her comment said roughly at him, he stepped a few paces back before he could find the nerve to answer.
“S-sorry Ma’am.” He said, moving himself to one of the other portions of the wall and pushing his back against it in hopes that he wouldn’t become in the way again. He didn’t want to be in the way after all, it was never a good place to be.

Zylaera felt a flash of guilt at speaking so harshly to the boy. There's no need to be so rough with the little ones. Said Carseith who was having a motherly moment.. Don't give me that. You nearly flamed a group of Weyrlings last sevenday because they were in your spot of sun. The greenrider reproached. Carseith settled into an irritated silence.
"It's okay," She replied to the boy, in a somewhat softer tone. She sighed, she would have to wipe of the spot of wall he was no against fairly soon anyways. "Here..." She said and put a hand on each of his slim shoulders, guiding him towards an area where he would get in her way. Then she had an idea..."Unless...." She mused, "You wouldn't mind lending me a hand, would you?" She asked hopefully. The angry red blotches on her face had disappeared and she was looking pretty and sweet again. She was usually quite good at talking people into doing what she wanted. She could get away much faster if she had someone to help her clean.
