Rider Information
Name Crysannia(or affectionately known as Crys)
Age twenty two
Gender female(a prime example of a femme fatale)
Sexual preference heterosexual(although by the way she acts towards the men, you might never know it)
Location Sodalis Weyr
Rank and Wing Wingrider in Duro Wing
Standing One way or another, she could really care less what happens. It’s the Weyrleaders’ and Lord and Lady Holders’ job to take care of the politics between the Weyrs and Holds, not hers. As long as nothing interferes with her and Isaerath, she’s pretty much content to let things work out themselves
Family Comrade--father--forty two(if he's still alive): Was a Journeyman, Conrade met N'sis's mother, Mysara while staying for a brief period of time at the Weyr, he and Mysara had a brief but passionate relationship, and become the father of her child soon after, or rather children, seeing as Mysara had a set of twins. After Mysara's death however, he left, unable to cope with his grief
Mysara--mother--deceased(would have been thirty nine): A Greenrider in Lateo, rider of Veniusyth, she fell in love with Comrade and very unexpectedly, gave birth to his son and daughter, both fraternal twins, however she died shortly after giving birth. Comrade, unable to cope, could not take care of the children, to which his grieving mind blamed for her death
N’sis--twin brother--twenty two: Her fraternal twin and constant annoyance, N’sis is an alcoholic womanizer with a violent temper as well as a Greenrider in Lateo. He’s definitely the less mature of the two, and always in trouble(although not unlike Crysannia herself) She pretends to despise her brother, and tells him so often, although she never was a good actress. She does love him terribly, even if she would never admit to it. Even though she does strongly disagree with his rather immoral actions.
Pets Keres--A six year old wildcat, he’s Crysannia’s unofficial protector and beloved pet. About two feet in height and weighing around roughly eighteen pounds, he’s decently sized. He’s quite awkward and gangly looking, with extremely long legs and wide, heavy paws that are heavily furred, while his body is compact and muscular. His coat is long, a steely gray in color, tipped in white, giving him a frosted look, while his underbelly chest are white. His ears are black and tufted with fur, and he has a ruff of long fur on either side of his face, and thick black markings around his eyes. His tail is quite short, and entirely black in color.
Normally he’s got a calm, quiet demeanor, however he has an assertive, compelling air about him, and constantly vigilant to everything. He’s almost always at her side, tending to be very distrustful of anyone whom comes in contact with her. However if they lay one finger on her, its all tooth and claw from there, he becomes extremely vicious, and some of those riders who tried to pick a fight with Crys often bear the scars from Keres as well. He’s fearless when it comes to Crysannia and it doesn’t matter how small he is, he’ll take on anyone. Crysannia rescued him soon after Impressing Isaerath, when he was kitten. Barely alive, he had been abandoned by his mother, and attacked by another wildcat. Crysannia had nursed him back to health, and they’ve been inseparable since.
Appearance It seems that good looks run in the family, because just like her brother, Crysannia is gifted. Of course she isn’t the most beautiful, however she is on upper end of the spectrum, whether she likes it or not. She probably could have any man she wanted in the Weyr, if she wasn’t so icy, therefore all her good looks go to waste, and are unnoticed—at least by her. However this isn’t as easily ignored by the opposite gender as by Crysannia, although if they’d like to keep all limbs intact, all they can do is look from afar, otherwise its like signing your will. She’s of decent height, 5â€7â€, not too tall and not too short, and not as soft and supple as most of the women are. Instead she’s very lean and muscular, from a rough lifestyle. She has to be, or she’d have a lot more injuries to worry about than she already has. Fortunately, this muscle tone does not show up and make her look grotesquely burly. She has still retained that girlishly litheness, however she does have those lovely feminine curves—shapely in hips and waist and chest, and they are far too noticeable for her liking. She’s always been pretty light, mostly because a lot of the time, she’ll be so caught up in things that she doesn’t get any time to eat, so more than one meal has been skipped. Of course, she’s never really eaten a lot either, ever since she was little, she got what she could, nothing more or less than that.
Surprisingly, her hair is pretty long, about waist length. Secretly, she does love her hair, and contrary to popular belief, she doesn’t just run her fingers through it and call it quits. Nope, Crys actually makes time so she can brush it thoroughly, and washes it at least twice a day.Unlike most of the women riders, who have their hair cut fairly short to accommodate their riding gear, she absolutely refuses to do so. Typically it falls in loose curls, enough to be prominent. She doesn’t often leave it down either, lest it get in the way, so its almost always tied back in a ponytail, but a tendril or two always manages to escape and frame her face. It’s a rick mahogany in color, not as dark as N’sis’s hair, and more brown than reddish, but that’s not to say she doesn’t have a few darker red streaks through it, when the sun hits it appropriately, they become more apparent.
She, unlike her brother, has a lovely bronze complexion from staying outside for long periods of time, and her skin is soft and smooth, instead of rough, the way you might expect her way of life to yield. She has few blemishes, although with all the fights she’s been in, you’d think she’d have many more. The only one that really stands out is a long scar from her right side to her left hip, and even then, the only way you’d ever be able to see it is if she removed her shirt(ha-ha, good luck with that)
She has an elegance about her appearance that can be very alluring, and she has delicate face with enticing features. Her eyes are probably one of the more sublime of them, almost immediately attracting anyone’s attention. They are gray, a dark steel color around the pupil, and lightening gradually to a silver as it moves closer to the edge of the irises, and outlined by long, black lashes. They give a sense of how she’s usually feeling, normally her gaze is sharp and piercing. When she’s angry or irritated, they get incredibly cold, especially when she’s angry, it makes her look venomous and when she’s upset over something, they change to a cloudy gray. She has a small, well shaped nose that balances out the rest of her face perfectly. Her cheekbones are high and refined, her jaw and chin gentle and subtle. Her ears, usually hidden behind her hair are pierced: the left one from the cartilage to the ear lobe, and the right one about midway down her ear to the ear lobe. Her lips are full, and are not well broken in. They are hardly ever set in a genuine smile for anyone, anyone except Keres and Isaerath, they are the only ones to coax it out of her. To everyone else, it’s a smirk, or a grimace. Or sometimes an expression of utter indifference. Except when she’s angry, then her mouth is caught more in a snarl, and she really does take on a savage look to her, however her temper is not as short as her brother’s, thankfully.
Her wardrobe consists of very little things extravagant or out of the ordinary, you can even go so far as to say it is monotonous. Every day, its usually the same style of clothing: the long, far too large shirts that usually hang a little past her waist, and you can’t always guarantee they are in the finest of conditions. Usually they are dark in color, so even if they were splotched with blood from previous fights, which I can almost promise you they are, it would be difficult to see. However, there are various little tears, bearing her skin underneath, sometimes the hems or sleeves are slightly frayed, the cloth rendered by the blade of a dagger, or just in general, the rough housing that has occurred in them. And most of them aren’t even hers, but stolen over periods of time from her brother, who probably wouldn’t have noticed anyway, since all of his attention is usually only focused on one thing. But the point is, she rarely if ever wears any ladylike clothing, unless of course Isaerath uses her powers of persuasion and forces her into something more appropriate. Usually this occurs around more formal occasions, like Feasts, and usually ends up with Crys in one of the gowns no one has ever known she had to begin with. And yes, she does have more elegant clothing, grudgingly packed away from sight, and often times she’ll surprise practically everyone by wearing it at a Feast, when they didn’t think she could ever possess something so…womanly.
Her pants are baggy as well, with enough room to hide various instruments of violence. And believe you me, she does just that. Of course, it could be for more likely reasons as well. Like they were more comfortable then say for instance, something skintight. Okay, well, maybe its more for the weapons than anything. And some of them have their fair share of wear-and-tear as well. And then there’s the choice of footwear, which is not really a choice at all, because she basically wears the same thing all the time. Her boots. Ah yes, and boy does she have a taste for them. Hers go up to mid calf and have a variety of shiny silver fastenings against the black leather, all of which she adores so. Therefore, she wears them along with the rest of her ever fascinating trousseau
Personality Basically, Crys’s personality is what keeps people on their toes around her, seeing as she’s not exactly the most amiable person around, and its not exactly because she goes beserk every time someone so much as glances at her, it’s the air of cold indifference that has them feeling awkward. In this area, her brother and she are not much different at all, both of them aren’t exactly social butterflies. But while N’sis has an explosive, violent temper, and acts more like a human time bomb(you never know when he’ll go off into one of his rampages) Crysannia is surprisingly, fairly slow to anger. Becoming irritated by someone is a different story, and that seems to happen all too often to her, the ways of how people behave and their patterns of though have become cryptic, and increasingly frustrating. However truthfully, because she can’t understand why people do the things they do, she starts to panic, not knowing what to expect, which is ultimately why she closes off any form of contact that might sprout into a relationship. This is a direct effect of the past events, and misfortunes that have befallen her, and only seem to get worse as time progresses.
She incredibly distrusting of people and their motives, which stems from her fear, which is why she has very few friends, if any at all. But the lack of socializing doesn’t seem to effect her one bit, in fact she seems more content when she’s not around anyone, which shows how deep the wounds run. She’s not much of a conversation type of person, its basically like talking to a wall, only with the wall you’d probably get a better response. Its written all over her face that she’d clearly rather be anywhere but talking to you. And when she’s forced into a position like that, all the fear resurfaces, and that’s when she gets dangerous. Its like the saying goes, a wounded lion will attack twice as fiercely. This proves true for her as well, despite what appearances may suggest, Crysannia has been hurt more than once in her life, and it has taken a toll on her in more than one way. One particular thing she can’t stand is when anyone touches her , even getting in close proximity to her starts to set Crysannia on edge, and reeling back to find an escape, however when someone actually touches her, it terrifies her, especially if it’s a man. She doesn’t scream, or whimper or beg for them to leave her alone. Instead this trivial action, of perhaps maybe putting a hand on her shoulder would have her gripping the hilt of her dagger in anticipation. Anything more intimate such as a hug would probably lose you a finger or two. Anything else, and you should consider yourself lucky to come out alive. It triggers a defense mechanism in her, that depending on what the other person has done, her reaction can vary from a simple acid remark, all the way up to an unpleasant injury that ruin your previous engagements and your only company for the next few weeks would be the Healers. It doesn’t matter if its friend or foe, if they get too close, the reception is always the same. Which is why Keres is always glued to her side, he, much like Isaerath can pick up on her feelings, but in a different sense. So whenever anyone touches her, he automatically defends her.
She tends to get very anxious around large crowds to, which is why she tends to isolate herself, even if she can’t manage to escape, its not uncommon to see her off in a corner, or any place where there aren’t too many people, around a throng of people, she becomes very distant and aloof. She puts on the cold façade that she’s used to protect herself, and she’s often misunderstood as being cruel like that, and for a good reason too. She’s never actually told anyone what’s happened to her, and doesn’t plan on it. It’s a maleficently guarded secret, that she’s determined to take to the grave with her. She’s not an affectionate person by any means, and she doesn’t sympathize with other people’s problems. Her past was full of difficulties, its become something that’s rooted in her mind, and since no one had been there to solace her, the concept of doing so is foreign to her, she simply can not be empathetic. Or rather, once she was able to, but she lost her ability to be sympathetic towards anyone. And hand in hand with sympathy is loyalty, which Crysannia seems to lack as well, at least towards everyone else. The only one she can, and does remain constantly loyal to is Isaerath, and would go to the ends of the world for her dragon because she feels as though she has a debt to the Green that she could never, no matter how hard she tried; repay.
She had always been stubborn and hard-headed, but now she’s impossible. No one can shake her mind when she’s set on something, not even Isaerath. Her concepts of right and wrong, and how she should act are a little absurd, but you can’t really blame her all that much for that, it was another result of a tramuating event. She acts based on her own intuition, and not what other people tell her. It appears as though she doesn’t have any respect for authority, which is partially true, she really doesn’t trust anyone to give her a command. People have been known to deceive, and their intentions are not always the best. Therefore, she only trusts her own decisions, which does get her in trouble, and has more than once, but its something she does, half the time without even realizing it. She doesn’t argue and debate and waste time trying to persuade anyone to look at it her way, she’ll accomplish the task the way she thinks it would best be done. It really doesn’t matter how many times she gets punished, or yelled at, it goes right over her head, and she doesn’t pay any heed to it, so mostly they are just wasting their breath. She’s very skeptical of anyone and everyone, and its not a bad habit, or something that can be broken by trying to correct it by forcing it out of her with chores, its just a part of her disposition, or rather, the one her true personality had evolved into. Crysannia, although headstrong, was never as apathetic as she is now.
She’s not arrogant by any means, but she does have an air of confidence, she depends solely on herself, she’s as independent as they come, because she’s hesitant to rely on anyone, or become too trusting, because they can always turn around forsake you without any regrets. People are incredibly manipulative, and if you fit into the plan, then you are perfect, however if you’ve become useless to them, its easy to sever all ties and leave you in the blink of an eye, isn’t it? To them, its alright to play with someone’s feelings, to twist the dagger in their hearts that they put there to begin with, and then when they’ve used this to reach their goal, suddenly they don’t matter anymore. Therefore, she holds a slight dislike towards people in general, because of their erratic behavior. Yes, she’s very cynical, but that’s only because she’s been hurt so much.
She doesn’t has a very little sense of humor, and if she does at all, it would be dry and just as cold. It really is sad that she’s lost her ability to see the good traits in people as well, but she only finds the bad ones, or rather, she looks for them. To her, people only wear disguises, their true colors are never shown until they are pulled out of them, and Crys often anticipates these ‘true colors’. And yes, although a lot of people aren’t so admirable, there are twice as many people who are. Only she alienates herself from both types of people, and refuses to let her guard down. She, over the past few turns, has become increasingly blunt, and she really doesn’t care or pretends to understand anyone’s emotions, she’s honest to a point of where it becomes savage. She speaks her mind, she’s very bold. And its not quite the situation where her brain and her mouth doesn’t connect, or that she says things when she shouldn’t. She’s very conscious of what she says, despite how its taken by everyone else, and really, she’s impervious to how its accepted.
After she’s made a decision, she has no regrets, whether it’ll hurt someone else or not. This is usually what makes her so unpopular, that along with the fact that she tends to be very unpredictable. And because you never know just what to expect from her, she keeps everyone walking on eggshells around her. If you pick away every layer of her, you’ll find that her fear of dependency and not being able to understand people and their reasoning, she’s changed to become this way to keep herself safe from this.
