Appearance: At 5’ 1/2” Sari is not the smallest person on Pern (she is in her own opinion) but definitely not the tallest. She walks in a seemingly casual matter but is always alert to her surroundings. She is very fit and tries to exercise regularly... Her sun colored hair is unusually long, down to her waist, and always tied into one long braid to make it more manageable. Her eyes are a deep blue that change from stormy to crystal depending on her mood. Sari’s skin is noticeably tan and she has two odd scars on her shoulder blades. She loathes dresses and will make every excuse not to wear them. Her preferred clothes are dark fitted pants with a light colored, short sleeved tunic. As for shoes, Sari would rather go bare foot but will settle with knee length boots. The one thing that she always wears is a small blue crystal pendant around her neck. She never takes it off.
Personality: Sari is one of those people who always seem to be in a good mood. She always speaks her mind, a habit that has made her a few people angry with her, when she calmly tells them that they are being a total idiot. Going along with that, she is very stubborn and will NOT do something she sees no point to. Though some of the things she does make no sense to anyone else but she does not really care. She treats everyone one equally, which makes it seem as though she does not have any respect for her superiors. You must watch her when she is angry. Protective of her friends, and quick to hold grudges, Sari can give a tongue lashing as strong as dragon fire when she wants to. Some people underestimate her for her size which is a grave mistake for she is adept a hand to hand and using a knife. While she doesn’t have many human friends she gets along very well with all types of beasts. Izzy and Graff follow her everywhere she goes and are her closest friends. It is not uncommon to see her talking to one of them. It is hard to make Sari respect anything, but she is in awe of dragons. She spends hours watching the weyrlings train and the dragons hunt.
History: All of Sari’s past from before she was nine years old is unknown. She was found in the wilderness with tattered clothes, a knife, her necklace, and the company of Izzy and Graff. Surprised that she could talk they took her and her friends home. The people cleaned her up, gave her new clothes, and tried to teach her, and her companions, to behave. (One of them tried to take her necklace off her once… that poor person. Judging by how deep they were the teeth marks took a long time to fade.)They gave up after all of their hands had more than four bite marks apiece. So, they sent Sari, Izzy, and Graff to be Lateo Weyr’s problem. After five years of teaching the weyr folk have managed to make her a normal civilized person… mostly…
