How you heard of LW: Dizzy, back in the day.
Rider Information
Name: T'len (Tolen)
Gender: Male
Age/Birthday: 23 Turns, Born Midsummer
Orientation: Heterosexual
Location: Lateo Weyr
Rank/Wing: Wingsecond, Luna Wing
Standing: T'len is not quite sure what to think about the Holds in the North. He doesn't see why they just can't continue to stay independent of each other, seeing as how history is full of quarrels between Weyr and Hold. But should they need help from Thread, T'len will be there, no matter what.
Family: His father died when he was young, leaving him and his twin brother to care for his mother. Not long after he reached the age of adulthood, his mother remarried.
Step-father: Moris, 51
Mother: Solena, 48
Brother: T'sol, 23
Pets: None.
Appearance: T'len is a carbon copy of his mother. While he is a twin, he doesn't look a thing like his brother. Black, curly hair lies over stunningly deep blue eyes that seem to look inside a person, to the soul. He is lean, but with well defined muscles. He keeps his clothes simple, wearing whatever is pratical for whatever task he may be doing.
Personality: Like his appearance, T'len is completely different from his twin T'sol as night is from day. While his brother was off gallavanting, T'len was busy helping his father with farm chores to keep his family alive. He was quiet as a child, as T'sol always wanted craved the spotlight. As he grew older, this instilled in him a great work-ethic. Some would say he puts too much effort into his tasks, and that one day he is going to exhaust himself. Other than that, T'len prefers to keep to himself. It takes a while for him to make friends, because people tend to percieve him as aloof. But T'len is extremely loyal to the friends he has. The people who get to know him also see that there is more to this man then meets the eye....There has to be, otherwise how would he have survived being brothers with T'sol? He is probably the only one beside Kryth who knows how and why T'sol is what he is. Their relationship is...difficult....to explain.
History: T'len was rather content with his childhood. He loved his parents, despite the fact his brother always seemed to be the center of attention. He especially cherished the times he would beside his father, where it was just T'len and him because T'sol was usually found a way out of work. He learned many valuable lessons that he took to his heart back on that farm.
Then came the day of his father's heart attack. T'len had noticed his father becoming strained over the past few days, and had made an effort to take on more work so his father wouldn't have to work so hard, but in the end it meant nothing. T'len was crushed by his father's death. T'sol played the grieved son well, but T'len's heart was really broken. He did his best to move one, and then a new man came into his mother's life. T'len was hesitant at first....he did not want anyone to take his father's place. But the man, Moris, treated T'len well...and actually saw through the front T'sol put up around others. T'len got along well with his step-father, and was actually sad to leave when he was searched with his brother. The Rider who have been very taken with his brother, had also noticed the quiet young T'len and must have sensed something promising. So, he accomponied T'sol to the Weyr with no other thought in his head that this was going to be an excellent adventure, but believing that T'sol would be the one to impress and not him. He was wrong though, and is now happily living in the Weyr with his beloved Ollienth.
Dragon Information
Name: Ollienth
Color: Brown
Age: 4 Turns
Description: Ollienth is an average brown. His hide is a milk-chocolate brown, with lighter, creamier swirls dotting his sides and muzzle.
Personality: Ollienth is a fairly easy-going dragon. He enjoys sunning and taking naps, but when there is work to be done, he will be there. He has a great sense of duty and is always quick to help someone or some dragon in need. Overall, he is very friendly and out-going.
History: Tolen stood to the side, out of the way of the other candidates, but to where he still had a good view of his brother and the eggs. He took on the role of a glorified spectator, happy he even had the chance to be standing on the sands. Eggs began to rock, and Tolen was entranced by the whole event. He soon forgot about everyone else....his brother, the crowd...He was fascinated by the tiny dragons that hatched from the eggs, who then went on to pick their life partner. For the first time, Tolen began to really want to be a Rider. To have that attachment, that bond....He would give anything.
The boy continued to watch as the eggs that had yet to hatch grew fewer and fewer. A quick glance towards Torsol told him his twin had yet to impress as well. This worried him...if Torsol didn't impress, why would he? Sweat beads developed on his forehead and he watched a small blue headbutt the candidate of his choice. Tolen dropped his head, accepting defeat. There was no way the other eggs were going to be Impressed by him. As he stood there, eyes intently on the sand to avoid crying, an awkward brown made his way out of his egg-shaped prison. Twisting his head from side to side, he surveyed the remaining candidates. The one of the side caught his attention, and he made his way, stumbling, towards him. Right before he reached the candidate, the young dragonet tripped over his own wing and fell face first into the sand. The boy's head snapped up. "Oh no!" He cried, and hurried forward to help the little one. Thank you. There's no need to be sad. Ollienth is here for you. Amazed at what he had just heard, T'len fiercly hugged the hatchlings neck, sending them both tumbling onto the sands. "Oh sorry!" He said, apologizing profusely. But then he heard a noise in his mind....something he could sworn was laughter. It was contagious. T'len couldn't help but laugh as he dusted himself off and made his way out with his new life partner.
Weyrling training was fairly uneventful. Unlike T'sol, T'len put all his effort into learning how to properly care for his dragon from the beginning. T'len and Ollienth were well suited for each other and worked well together. The things that did not come easy to them at first, they worked hard on, and eventually they excelled in almost everything.
