Novus made his way thru the crowed that naturally parted for his immense size. A sigh escaped his lips, he knew the people shied away from him even though he was always so polite. He smiled as a few children ran past him in a game of tag and he found himself longing to join them. Novus loved children. Unfortunately he did not have time today to attempt to be making friends.
He was seeking the Lord Holder’s office, or possibly even the stewart he had talked to a week before. Even as he hated how little time he spent away from the forge, he found himself a little disappointed that he had not grown to know anyone yet. More so, he found himself disappointed that the Hall requested him to travel with a Master to Benden Hold. According to the message, he was needed for his ability to work with metal even though he was only a Journeyman.
Searching the hall, Novus found himself lost not only in thought, but in the hold as well. Why couldn’t he remember the layout of this Hold? It wasn’t like it was difficult to navigate, Novus just couldn’t manage to find the door he thought he sought. Frowning, he slowly spun in a complete circle in hopes of finding something vaguely familiar.

Glynnis hurried after the small group of children. "Piral, slow down! You'll knock into something!" Honestly, why can't they play such an active game outside instead of in halls full of people? As usual, the children ignored the adult voice, caught up in their game of tag and oblivious to any other people as well. Hides went flying, a tray was dropped and an uncountable number of people bumped into an uncountable number of others in an effort to not be trampled by the small herd of children. Their warden hurried after her charges, apologizing to everybody she passed, and accidentaly stepping on a few toes herself in her hurry, while yelling at the children to listen to her.
*CRASH*
....
"Waaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!"
Oh great... Glynnis sprinted over to Piral who had indeed crashed into something... or rather tripped over someone and gone flailing to the floor. Reaching him, Glynnis squatted down next to him as the rest of the children resumed their game of tag, seeing that their fellow player was in capable hands. The people in the hall ignored the two of them now as well, going back about their business.
Pulling Piral into her lap, Glynnis cradled the 4 turn old in her arms and made soft hushing sounds as he snuffled into her shirt. The stone floor of the hall was not soft. "Hush, little. It's alright. What hurts?" Piral pointed to his knees, tears streaking his face. Glynnis carefully examined them. Nothing was broken or cut, but he'd have a wonderful bruise on both kneecaps. "Look Piral, nothing broken." Giving him a smile, she tickled his chin and waited until he gave a tentative smile through his tears. Smiling back she shifted him from her lap, standing him in front of her. "Ready to go back and play some more? Maybe in the garden where the ground is softer?" Piral nodded and then giggled as Glynnis leaned forward to plant soft kisses on both knees and a quick raspberry on his stomach. "Go on and tell the others you'd like to play outside." Piral ran off.
Sitting on the ground for a couple more seconds, Glynnis let out a soft sigh before maneuvering herself up. Not being the most graceful person, she lost her balance slightly and bumped into someone behind her. Turning around, she uttered a hasty apology and then stopped talking as her eyes met chest. Tilting her head up, her mouth fell open as she looked at the man towering above her. "Wow, you're tall." Glynnis wasn't the most tactful person either...

Novus had winced as he seen the small boy crash not too far in front of him. Taking a step towards the boy to help, he found a woman there much faster and stopped to watch the happenings, now distracted from his own task. A small, crooked smile appeared on his lips as he watched the child finally get up, happy again, to run off towards his friends. Eyes on the child, he was completely caught off guard as something bumped into his front side.
Arms reaching up to guard the sides of the person almost instinctively in case they were going to fall, he looked down to find the woman who had been sitting on the floor moments before turning to him and mumbling a reply at him. After a moment she stopped and began to look up with a mouth wide open. Novus found his face reddening as he quickly dropped his arms and took a step back so that she wouldn?t have to crane her neck quite as much. At her reply, he couldn?t help but let a soft chuckle escape his lips, a chuckle that he was quick to quiet again.
"And your small." He replied without thinking before slapping a hand over his mouth. "S-sorry. I meant... umm... your good with the kids... yeah..." Novus was at a loss for words, slightly taken aback that he had made a comment not too foreign to her own without thinking. What was he going to do with himself?
