The short man dismounted the speedy gray runner with much haste he seemed to be in quite the hurry. His pink cheeks more flushed than uasual... he was dusty with travel and wore a leather satchel that looked worn out almost completely. "I have a message, for Lord Holder of Nerat, from Lord Galeden of Keroon." The man stated as he entered the Main Holding. He was trying to be proper but was asimple man at best.
He wanted to give it to the man directly but found he had to leave the message with the Steward. "Jus be sure the man gets it." He stated with a slight frown on his increasingly agitated face.
The Letter read as follows:
Dear sir,
You are cordially invited to the winter Gather at Keroon. wherein the conclave will be held for tis turn. Please feel free to bring all your family members and as many guests as you would care to bring. We look forward to your presence in a month and a half the Winter Gather will commence. On Midwinters day. we are much obliged,
signed Lord Galeden and Lady Eslana of Keroon

Lord Solum found himself stopped in the hallway as his steward met him halfway to his office. The slightly heavy man handed him a parchment with the Keroon seal on it along with a short explanation of stopping the messenger at the door and taking the letter himself. The steward seemed forever suspicious of Dorin spy's, but from Keroon?
"That was highly unnecessary Borus. You and I both know Keroon has always been friendly." he said, lightly repremanding the man. "Next time allow the messenger audiance, I don't care how he is dressed. Now go back and get the man so he may return with a reply for his Lord." he added knowing full well that his steward had a nasty habit of judging people by their appearance.
Taking the parchment, he moved to his office and closed the door in the stewards face, finding himself not in the mood to listen to him argue about finding the man again since chances are he had already left. Opening the letter, he read it with a smile. It was about time he heard about the gather, they were a good chance to get out and boast about his childrens accomplishments and learn of new happenings in other holds.
Quickly he wrote the following before folding it and sealing it with wax to wait for the returning steward if he could, in fact, catch the messenger before he left...
Lord Galeden and Lady Eslana of Keroon,
I am pleased to accept your inventation to the winter gather. As much of my family as I can manage to talk into going shall accompainy me. If there is any way, any at all, that I may be of service to you during my stay do not hesitate to ask.
Yours, Lord Solum, Family and Nerat Hold{/i}

The stout man reentered the hold. He didn't seem to be angry or upset about how he had been treated in fact he had entirely moved on. This was a taske he was given by his Lord and nothing would make him ruin Keroons good reputation. especially not when he knew he looked a bit odd at the moment but a simple man was sometimes a far better and more trustworthy messenger than a nobleman with his own agenda. He waited patiently for the Lord holder's letter. After all Lord galeden had told him to bring responses back straight away. He was happy he had not been chosent o send a letter to Dorin but that was a double edged sword there...his brother had gone instead. He hoped the man accepted messnegers, even if they were simple men. Erasing the worry from his face he began to pace a little.
