Apri sighed in relief as he did not sound upset at her request, in fact he seemed almost joyed by it. Watching him pick up everything, she did not hesitate to help as he offered her the basket of fruit. Finding it a little heavy, she shifted her weight and rested it against her as she waited for Killian to lead the way.
“I’d like to do it tonight… It is late… but I think I’m too… too happy to sleep.” She said, finishing softly as a blush warmed her cheeks yet again that night.

It was Killians turn to blush as he lead the way out of the clearing a new spring in his step. It had worked, he had made her happy she didn’t have to say it he could hear it in her voice, but the confirmation stated in words was enough to cheer him to the bone.
It was light outside of his dark world but Killian did not need light to find his way back to the hall. He moved slowly and gracefully so as not to leave Apricus behind it could have been the middle of the afternoon, or a moonless night, it maid no difference to him as they finally approached the halls back door.
Turning to Apricus he held a finger to his mouth, “shhhh, we don’t want to wake anyone.” He grinned mischievously before opening the door and stepping aside so Apricus could lead the way to their rooms.

Following Killian thru the trees and down the path, she found herself having to move off the path and onto the grass next to it to follow him as her wet shoes were providing little protection. Making it to the smooth surface of the Hall floor, however, she stepped thru the door and took the lead, only smiling at Killian as he hushed her into silence.
Moving up the stairs carefully in the dim light, it was now her turn to hold open the door for him as she came to her room. “We don’t have to be quiet in there too do we?” she whispered back with a slight smirk on her face. So few people slept in the hall that she doubted they’d wake anyone up by simply talking.

Killian walked threw the door Apricus held open for him without argument; it made him smirk almost ever time remembering one of their first discussions as not many men liked women holding doors open for them. “Na” was all he said to her sarcastic question. He walked into her room and placing his instruments carefully on the bed before tossing his wet clothes onto the ground as though they where nothing but scrap.
“So did you want to finish that fruit in here or on the balcony?” he ran his hand through his now dry hair ruffling it a bit before it fell in thin sheets to frame his face. He didn’t make any move to his room to change out of the ‘toga’ he had on continuing to stand half his chest and lower legs bare for the first time.

Following Killian into the room, she put down the basket where she stood and turned to close the door. Unlike Killian, however, she needed light to see and moved to the glow basket with a careful step and hand out in front of her. Finding it, she opened it fully to illuminate the dark room.
“Actually… I’d like to do it in here on the carpet…” she said as she turned. Her eyes fallen on the half-dressed man, however, her hand found its way to her mouth as she barely kept herself from gasping. Now she knew why the dance of the moonlight on his body had left her with images from the healing room.
Forcibly shaking images out of her head, Apri picked back up the basket and moved towards the middle of the room near where Killian stood trying with all her might not to stare. Setting the basket down, she quickly sat down next to it and opened it up looking for a distraction.
“So where should we begin?” She asked, her voice unusually quick and yet much calmer than it would have been had this happened before coming here.

When the female Harper said she would rather eat on the carpet Killian just shrugged, not realizing that he had not opened a glow for her, as it had been so very long since he had needed one. And so listening to her get closer he just dropped to the floor crossing his legs but stuffing the blanket between them remaining somewhat modest in covering all of his privet parts.
He was leaning forward toward the basket, pretending to study its contents, “hmmm I like the ones with the bumpy skin, it’s a citrus… I think they where orange.” It wasn’t until he stopped to think about what she had said that he noticed the change in her tone. Facing up at her he arched an eyebrow, “is something wrong?”

Searching thru the fruit in the basket to find the one he described, she looked up at his question and attempted to school her features. Actually doing a good job of it for the first time in her life, she smiled at the man before her.
“No, Killian… Why would it be?” She asked as she finally found one fruit that looked like the one he described. Pulling out two of the smaller cut pieces of it, she forgot for a moment that those cloudy grey eyes could not see. “This one?” she asked holding it out as if to allow him to inspect them.

Her successful look was lost on Killians blindness as he continued to look a little concerned before shaking his head and running his hand through his hair smiling, if she was not going to let it bother her then neither would he. “oh nothing I just thought I heard something…”
Though he couldn’t see her he knew that she was trying to show him something. Taking it all in stride and good fun Killian rubbed his chin as though pondering some deep thought as he studded the spot a full foot above and to the right of the cut peaces, “hmmm I’m not sure it has been a wile… hmmm.” He smiled at her winking before he held out his hand. “all else fails, taste it!”

Realizing her mistake as he studied the completely wrong spot, Apri couldn’t help but giggle. Dropping one piece in his hand, she popped the other in her mouth and started rummaging thru the rest of the fruit. She found the sharp taste of the citrus fruit not quite what she liked, but it defiantly wasn’t bad.
“mmm, not bad.” She said as she picked out another fruit. Popping it into her mouth, she smiled broadly finding exactly what she liked in its soft, sweet taste as its liquid rolled over her mouth. As she enjoyed the flavor, she thought about what the two could talk about and one idea came to mind that would fit the light mood of the night quite well. A question game.
“I’ve got an idea. While we eat, why don’t we play a question game…” she said, not sure what the man would think of such a thing. She had remembered when she had learned it from the first harper that had tried to befriend her when she came to the Hall. “I’ll ask you a question and if you answer it… then you get to ask me a question… if not I ask you another… Up for it?”

Killian popped the fruit in his mouth the moment it touched his hand, closing his eyes and smiling at the tangy flavor as he sucked out the juice before swallowing the rest. His eyes opened unnecessarily wide at her question sending his eyebrows skyward. A question game? Hmmm how did that work? But she explained and Killian smiled evilly.
“Hmmm, sounds like fun… I have never played a game like that before… do you mind starting? So I know what kind of questions to ask?” he continued to grin evilly as though he had some diabolical plot in mind. In truth he had no idea what he could possibly ask her, perhaps her question could give him an idea…

“Nope I can start.” she said grinning in response to Killian’s own grin. Apri found herself feeling that this would be more interesting than she had originally thought. Repositioning herself so that she was laying on her stomach and propped up by her elbows, she took a moment to think of a really good question to start off with.
“Alright here we go…” she said as one came to mind. “What’s your favorite food? I’ve noticed the cooks always choose your food for you, but what do you like best?” There were a thousand questions brimming in her mind, some completely silly and others serious enough that she would hesitate asking. She would see though, perhaps she could find a way to make them seem more light hearted?

“Hmmm” Killian took his time to consider the question, almost as if she had asked him his philosophical view on the world. “I would have to say stew…” he grinned at the simplicity of that answer. “Its like a surprise with every bight, even if uncle always puts too much thyme…” it was his turn to get conferrable as he moved around to lye on his side propping his head up with his hand the piece of blanket over his shoulders slipping with the new position, though Killian did not notice.
“Ok my turn haw… hmmm.” He took some time to think not at all sure what to ask that wouldn’t sound silly to her. “Well I already know your favorite color… and food.” He grinned that sly grin again hinting in that smile that he had planed this night. “Hmmm but what about… your hair, what color is it? Be specific now… would it be the color of burnished gold? Or trees in the spring? Or white like snow?” he didn’t really want to ask a question like that but it was the first thing that came to his mind, he just hoped she didn’t mind.

“My hair?” she asked a little confused at the question until it dawned on her that he couldn’t exactly see the color. She hadn’t thought of that before. Reaching up with one hand, she took out the single stick she had used to keep it up that night and pulled the long locks over her shoulder so she could look at them herself.
“Specific huh?” Smiling playfully she decided she would go into some serious detail like every good harper would. “Well… It’s a dark, kinda rich brown… Like skybroom furniture that hasn’t been bleached… There isn’t a heavy curl to it, but defiantly ringlets that refuse to come out… And its soft like the material of the dress I found on my bed today.”
Looking back up at the harper, she smiled. “Good enough of a description?” While she waited for his answer she thought of her next question, finding one slightly similar to the one he asked. Just as he hadn’t ever seen her hair color, nor had he ever seen her.
“Killian… Have you ever wondered what I look like?” pausing a moment, she wondered if she should go on, but decided to tack on the second question anyways even though it was against the rules of the game. “Why have you never asked to see me like you seen your sister when they came to the hall?”

Killian took in her descriptions trying in vain to picture it in his mind… but it had been to long. He continued to smile none the less his grin turning evil slowly, “Hehehe perhaps it’s a good thing Vinrin didn’t get you in that green dress… or did he?” he arched an eye brow at her for a moment before continuing, “I suspect it would look like a reverse tree… green trunk with silky brown leaves… hmmm interesting picture….” He chuckled all in good fun listening to her question and trying not to break his smile.
He shrugged in an effort to keep things light hearted as well as to cover his own bit of uncomfort. He was about to say ‘No’ which was a down right lie, but she continued and he had to give pause again before he shrugged one last time, “well with them it was different. I had a picture in my mind on what they looked like, but it was 12 turns too young, it wouldn’t exactly be fair to picture them as children when they had grown so much.” His grin was silly as he thought of doing just that, picturing his siblings as children that never grow up. “I have met many people since I have lost my sight most of which I will never ‘see’ like I did with my sister, so I don’t really think about it anymore.” That was a lie but he was a Harper and it would take someone very skilled at reading people or at least reading him to notice that.
Killian scrutinized her after that though, purposefully looking silly to break any tension his answer might have made, “you cheated… that was two questions…”

Apricus nodded slowly as she thought about Killian’s answer to her question. After a moment, however, she realized that he hadn’t really answered it at all, either one of them. Just as she was about to complain, she found him scrutinizing her. Hearing that she had cheated, she pursed her own lips and scrutinized him right back.
“I might have cheated… But you failed to answer either one of them… You just found a fancy way to skirt around the questions…” she pointed out in playful argument as she picked out another piece of fruit from the basket.
