Galeden walked down to the gather grounds talking with his advisors. His daughter was holding his hand and walking next to him. He was walking confidantly but a bit slower than usual due to his daughters walking pace being slow. His advisors were talking of whom they should invite on the way down. "Everyone. Everyone should come, even Dorin and his family should come. Gathers are for all. From the poorest drudge to the richest trader. It should be a time where everyone has fun adn takes their mind off this cold winter we are having."
Galeda interjected with a payful laugh. Galeden did not yet see what she was laughing at but glancing at the gather grounds he saw a couple runners were loose and some stable hands were chasing them. He wanted to have all the merchant actions to be going on farther away from the racing then it was last time. Then he turned to his baby, "After we should visit the runners and we wll have your favorites race at the gather." Galeda smiled at her father in a winning and charming way.
"Now gentlmen, I was thinking we should put the traders over on that side, then they have room to bring their caravans up without trouble. Last gather was a complete disaaster in that respect. I am going to leave decor up to Lady Eslana. As for the races, I want them to be packed so if there are one or two slots open we can race a coupe of our extras. The betting this year will be interesting. Which reminds me, we need an unbiased judge on the races and all the guests horses will be put in the stable closest to the racetrack, all of mine will stay at the one nearer to me. The wine will be of several varieties. I need you to do importing in large quantities. Also, someone needs to get in contact with the Harper Hall, I need musicians for there will be dancing. Lots of dancing!" Galeden was obviously growing excited.
"We will also need to nvite the other crafthalls. Make sure that we get responses from all the Lord and Lady holders as well as the Crafthalls. We need to make an impression on people this time. I don't want a complete flop last time. Also I need this area to be cleaned all grass should be trimmed to a minimal level. I don't want a single blade out of whack." He sounded a bt stern but his face was smiling. The sun was glancing off his dark curls as he walked around the grounds a vision of what it should be like going throuhg his mind. He hoped his wife would choose good colors, preferably the Hold colors, but he doubted she even cared as long as she got to meet several young handsome men.
Galeda thankfully was more of his temperment and was not interested in men yet. She would no her duty when she was older and he didn't care what she thought of her moher when she was older as long as she didn't hate her father. Galeden was always concerned that his nephew would not be as good an heir as his own daughter, but daughters were not named heir unless no male relatives could take up the position and he had a feeling that his nephew would be alive and well for a very long time.
