((Okie I’m going to do some slight gm’n here just so we can get this going again.))
Coming out of between was blinding as the sun shown brightly in its early morning glory. It made E’mion wonder just how many of his riders remembered the time difference that took place across the length of Southern. There were in Sodalis territory – which made the wingleader proud that the lord holder had turned to Helios first. It was an honor, a show of friendship the previous wingleader had forged with the lord holder.
Instruct the wing to stay in formation and circle the hold. We only need to pick up Julin and I already see him in the courtyard.
Even as Malekith relayed the message he touched down with a mighty back sweep to slow his decent. The air from his wings effectively cleared the courtyard of any dust that had accumulated there. The young man in a well worn pair of leather breaches and a good riding coat took only moments to approach the rider. It was a sign of the heir to have no fear of the bronze beast.
Quick words were exchanged, unheard by the riders above and the man was easily swung up to the seat behind E’mion. Seeing him strapped safely in, Malekith took the signal to rejoin his wing above. Once in formation again, they lead the way Julin’s well calloused hand pointed; Northeast across the lake. The far shore that they headed to was a good ¾ candle mark away. It would take some time to pick up the feline trail.

S’hon followed his leaders instructions without question circling in his position in the formation and keeping his one good eye on the other riders making sure they did the same as Mazbeth watched the ground. He still was not happy with the pairings but he understood them as he found Daine in her position. He watched her for a wile before turning Mazbeth around to follow E’mons bronze.
Mazbeth scanned the ground as he flew looking for the tail, tail signs of heard beasts or wherys. do you think there will be time to eat before we head back? S’hon shook his head in disbelief but managed a small smile. just concentrate on the hunt, then we can worry about feeding you. the bronze rumbled as he flew, perhaps looking more forward to the task then his rider.

The green pair arrived above Terra Hold and did exactly as instructed by the Wingleader. Are the felines really right here at the Hold? Daine scanned the land for the felines and was disappointed to find none. No, Mine. We're picking up the tall man. The greenrider squinted at E'mion who was helping a tall man up onto Malekith. It was the Lord Holder of Terra Hold. Why would he want to come? Wouldn't he just want to hide out in his little Hold and let the big boys do their jobs?
She was slightly confused, but pushed it aside. It was his life. She knew she wouldn't go out searching for felines if Wes wasn't with her. Those creatures are fierce, no matter what anyone says. Two dragons to take out one of them proved they were harder than they looked. She would have to be on guard, but it would be difficult to do so when her partner was S'hon. Daine growled at just the thought, but tried to fight it down. Her anger was saved for E'mion right now for making her get up this early.

T'kil popped out of between, and looekd over the landscape of Terra. Now wehre woudl those feliens be. He waited patiently for E'mion to get the man they needed. Hoepfully they could get this done quick and easy, then bring home theri prizes and have a party. He remembered the last time he had gone feline hunting and rubbed his stiff leg for a second. But, that wouldn't slow him down this time.
Quenth followed Malekith in formation, his multi faceted eyes scanning the shorline, keenly watching for any hints of movement. As time slipped by T'kil realized this probably wouldn't be an in and out job. Oh well, he could enjoy the scenery. How long d'you reckon till we get there. A good part of a candlemark. The Brown answered matter of factly. The wingsecond stayed quiet, his worn face, rough and weathered by the wind and sun. Even though he had that L'nuo as his partner, their feline would be as good as gone.

R'lan allowed his eyes to drift up, looking at the under belly of the bronze above him. He did one last check of his knives as Nylath kept them in postion.

G'rec and his dragon followed in formation, waiting to go get a man from Terra Hold before they headed out to hunt felines.
Gonna have some fun today, huh? the rider mused.
Indeed.

((hehe… sorry… I’ve been seriously distracted from this thread… how about we try getting it going again?))
The time passed slowly for L’nuo as he rode next to the wingsecond. For some reason he was getting the feeling that T’kil wasn’t so happy with the pairing. A whistful look over to R’lan told L’nuo that he was not the only one who had wished for different pairs. Oh well, as it was he knew T’kil was a strong fighter and that in itself helped L’nuo’s mind. While he might be amazingly accurate at throwing a blade, that was just about all he was good for with the exception of a rare, well placed kick from his strong legs.
Just when the trip seemed like it would never end, L’nuo caught sight of the man behind E’mion pointing down into a large clearing by the shore. At the signal, L’nuo and Enuth followed the wingleader down with the rest of the wing to land.
E’mion slide off Malekith to be closely followed by the lord holder’s son. Walking to where the young man indicated, he found the obvious signs of felines in both prints and a fresh kill. Looking back up to his riders, he scanned the lot for those he knew to have decent tracking skills. T’kil was pretty good in his youth, or so E’mion had heard. Strange as it was the first person to come to mind, however, was Mariska. Pity she was a woman and a gold rider at that. T’kil would have to do.
Standing he motioned for T’kil and L’nuo to join him, and after second though, he motioned S’hon down as well.
“T’kil… I want you and L’nuo to follow these tracks on the ground. What you might loose your bronze should be able to pick up. Stay on your dragon. According to Julin here, this was found a few days ago so we should be able to pick them up quickly.”
“S’hon, take Julin here and Daine and go ahead. Julin said something about a possible destination of the felines. Don’t touch down. Just see if that was in fact where they were headed. The rest of the wing I’ll take and we will follow T’kil and L’nuo from above just in case the felines are behind schedule.”

((Yipee! Just wodnering...si Quenth a bronze or a brown cause i think the list says Brown...but..Well i guess its up to you:D))
T'kil enjoyed the easy flight over to the far bank. Of course he was itching to get at those feelings, but it gave hi ma chance to take a couple swigs of his speacial mixture of fellis and wine and relive the glory days of feline fighting in his head. He just hoped L'nuo could keep up...well, maybe the kid would suprise him.
He followed where E'mion pointed, the older Brown pair landing with some creaking of the knees, but with obvious experience. T'kil slid off the side of his Quenth, walking over to the Wingleader, feeling much better as the bit of fellis kicked in. He wondered if he would be asked to do the tracking, perhaps. He had done it before, but not for several turns. He nodded at E'mion ,"Alright E'mion." He turned back to his dragon, climbing up again, almost as soon as he had gone down. He waited for L'nuo to join him. "L'nuo! You take the lead, Quenth and i will sweep in case you miss anything." The way he said it gave the impression that he thought the Brownrider would mess up and he wanted to be there in the back to catch it. Thi'll be easy. I've got a nose that can sniff em out 100 klicks away. T'kil gave a coughing laugh. They were a great pair. Arrogant, brash and cocky to arrogant, brash and cocky. But hey, they were a good team anyways.
"Alright L'nuo, lets move." He called as the pair lifted off. T'kil's eyes and Quenth's nose picked up the trail immediatly. Now let's see if they really remembered how to do this.

S’hon landed with the others but did not dismount until given the order. He did not run to the spot but neither did he take his time, listening to his orders without a word he offered a nod to his leader and a glance to the man he was to take with him. Tilting his head in the direction of is dragon to indicate that the man should follow, S’hon returned to the bronze. This man is going to show us where he things the felines are heading, tell Veralidains green she is to come with us. he mounted in one fluid jump from the bronzes offered arm to his back reaching down to help the holder up.
He cringed at the human contact but said noting as S’hon pulled him up. Meeting Veralidains eyes momentarily he gave the signal to take off silently following the mans pointing finger in the direction of there destination.

G'rec followed E'mion in the air to follow T'kil and L'nuo. It was possible that the felines hadn't gotte to where they were going yet, and since the wing was to hunt them down, they had to find out where the big cats even were in the first place.
Let's go, then. G'rec was excited.
We wait for commands.

Daine growled. Why did he have to pair her with S'hon? Now she was paired with the Wingsecond and the one who would be doing all the dirty work. Her foul mood was only making the day worse and worse by the time E'mion had given the order to check out the possible location of the felines. Meeting S'hon's gaze, her emerald eyes flashed angrily before focusing back on the task. We have to follow Mazbeth. I know, Wes. Just don't get too close.
She would rather stay a nice distance away than be right next to him and have to talk to him. No, behind him was just fine with her. They set off in the direction where felines were thought to be, and the greenrider could only hope it would be over with soon. The faster it was finished the faster they could get back to the Weyr. Come on, this is fun! We're on a chase! Daine rolled her eyes. Only you would find this hunt entertaining. People get killed doing this. It's better than dying of old age. Daine sighed and kept her comment to herself. Just go.

R'lan and Nylath shifted postion, automaticly filling the space in the formation left by the four riders. The brown watched the land for movement while they followed the old wingsecond. His neck arched excitedly as the thrill of the hunt thrummed through him. R'lan grinned and slapped the brown on the neck, feeling the soft supple hide against his skin.

((Just so everyone know's... the felines are going to be found by S'hon and Daine, they'll come back and report and then we'll head over that way. ((it's the location of the new weyr)) okay? Oh yeah, and you were right Menta, he is brown. My bad.))
A good candlemark passed as Malekith lead the wing above and in slow circles above the two browns on the ground. They had been making good distance, but it seemed as thought nothing was happening. Enuth says they are still on the trail, but there is no sign of anything besides the trail.
Turning, E'mion looked back at his wing before turning back to the front and turning an eye to where he had sent S'hon off to. It had been a set of natural caverns just recently discovered by Julin's hunters with many signs of feline inhabitants. He wondered briefly if they were having any more luck as the wing continued their slow circles.
For the first half candlemark, L'nuo had been tense upon Enuth as his eyes darted from this tree to that looking for a feline ambush. None came however, and the man quickly found himself completely relaxed on his dragon as they walked thru the dense forest. Looking from the trees to T'kil back to the trees he finally sighed, making the first noise heard beyond the dragons walking since they had begun.
"This is more boring than I thought it'd be." He said hoping to strike up a conversation. He was not exactly the greatest of hunters...

T'kil frowned, this was getting a little annoying. The trail was fine, but they were getting nothing. He nodded to L'nuo, but still kept his eyes searching for signs. "You could say that again." He followed a slight curve in the path. A cpouple of the tracks were lookign a little worn, but nothing major. He decided to give the other rider the benifit of the doubt now, and decided he might be worth a little conversation, "I remember when the wildnerness around these holds was so thick with felines you could hardly go out without a dragonrider escort. But we'll find 'em eventually...and then we'll have some fun."
He paused for a second, conferring with with Quenth on the trail. He looked back at E'mion. Ask Malekith if His knows whether or not Daine and S'hon have found anything? Alright. The brown complied. They continued on the trail, hoping for some action in the near future.
