Naraleth sat on her ledge looking out at the Weyr. She seemed to be surveying everything in sight as if she owned it all. The green was immersed in her sight seeing when Morelia woke. "Shard it all..." Seeing dawn had just broken the horizon, Morelia pulled her blankets over her head. "I don't wanna wake up!" Naraleth swiveled her head around. You really ought to. Its going to be a beautiful day. Just what I needed... Maybe we can go to the river in time to catch a brown or a blue bathing. "Hmmph." Morelia, never the morning person was still completely covered by her blankets and now was in the fetal position. "I'd rather go back to bed. My one day to sleep in and I wake up on time!" Naraleth gave the equivalent of a draconic chuckle and went back to surveying the Weyr.

Sanura trudged back through the BloodChar hallway groggily, scratching the back of her head and stretching her lithe form. Muscles tense from sleep strained in sweet tension, sending a fresh fire through her blood as the blue rider yawned. Still in her baggy silk pants and small white tank, the girl was not planning on waking, but merely leaving K’lor to his morning duties while she returned to her own weyr to sleep the rest of the morning away. You would sleep your life away if I would let you, Mine. Aramith suddenly interjected cheekily, chuckling mentally as his rider grinned in reply. Oh, I would awake for the occational Flight, honey, you know that. The dark-haired woman replied, her blue eyes now loosing their sweet look of rumpled sleep and gaining that dark intensity she was known for. That earned yet another chuckle from her dragon, and the Weyrsinger felt a sudden chill thread up her spine. I love you, Aramith. She said softly, knowing the small blue would always be her only and first love, no matter what man she met. Her words inspired a similar seriousness in the blue’s. And I you, Sanura. You know I love you more than is decent even between rider and dragon. His soft purr made the woman smile contentedly, and in her bliss, those pink lips parted and her profession broke loose.
On a dark new turn’s night, On a Sodalis stretched shore, I heard your voice singing. Your eyes danced the song, Your hands played the tune, T'was a vision before me.
We left the music behind, and the dance carried on, As we stole away to the seashore. We smelt the brine, felt the wind in our hair, And with sadness you paused.
Suddenly I knew that you'd have to go, My world was not yours, your eyes told me so. Yet it was there, I felt the crossroads of time, And I wondered why…..
As we cast our gaze on the tumbling sea A vision came o'er me Of glistening hides, and beating wings In clouds above….
The girl’s voice was still young and sweet, and as she sang, her soul lifted, and she could feel her heart’s very beat within the words. Her blue quieted, listening, moved just as deeply as his rider at the sadness which surrounded the song. Aramith was every inch a Weyrsinger’s dragon, and when he heard his rider’s lovely voice, he could only love her more.
((thought I would try this Pern-edited song on you first, HG. What do you think? I was thinking it could be something she wrote herself?? Thanks!))

((I love it! Granted I'm a huge music fan, especially when I like the lyrics. I think you could definately say she wrote it.))
Morelia had been lying in bed praying for sleep when the sound of sweet music came drifting into her weyr. Naraleth turned her head to face her rider, waiting for another blast of anger. Morelia however controlled herself and let the music calm her. Instead of remaining in bed the woman wrapped herself in a blanket and walked over to her own small fireplace, she readied some klah.
Poking a head out into the hall she saw the other rider walking to her own weyr. Well Morelia should have known it was Sanura... the Weyrsinger. Naraleth was interested too. Its just Sanura and Aramith dear. Thats what you think. What exactly is that supposed to mean? I suggest dressing before you find out the hard way. Morelia ran over to her pile of clean clothes that had yet to be placed in her cluttered dresser. Her dirty clothes were bunched in a coner of her weyr. "I think I need to do some laundry. " She pulled on her regular black britches and white tunic. Looking arouns she found a pair of socks on the floor. While hopping on one foot to put a sock on she meandered over to where her comb was. Morelia couldn't complain she looked good for her growing age. A fact which she enjoyed greatly.
Don't forget your klah... "Shards!" Morelia ran over to her kot klah over the fire putting it on her table and pouring herslef a mug. Then she made her bed making sure nothing was creased. By now her klah was cool enough to drink so she sat at her table and began sipping it. Thats a very sly trick Naraleth. I won't fall for it again. It was not a trick. Someone comes.

After her song was finished, Sanura rubbed her arms with her hands lightly, trying to ease the bumps that had risen along her golden skin. She wrote that song herself, but the words still gave her chills whenever she sang them. She was far from sleepy now. Anyone else up at this forsaken hour besides bronzers and queens? The rider asked, her mind touching softly with her blue’s as she paused in the BloodChar halls. Naraleth stirs, but I am not sure of her rider. You just passed her weyr though, so it’s likely your song might have roused her. The Weyrsinger felt a light pink spread across her cheeks, and the dark-haired woman paused to turn and gaze at the aforementioned door. Oh! I hope I did not. I’ll just take a quick peek….
In all actuality, now that she was awake, the blue-eyed rider wanted some company, and she never really had gotten to know her wingmate all that well. This could be, should the other be willing, a good opportunity to get better acquainted. Aramith probably knew that too, she mused, but he wouldn’t say anything. He loved her too much. Aproaching the hanging cloth that separated weyr from hall, the Weyrsinger allowed her dark cobalt depths to roam her body, and finally decided that her sleeping clothes were formal enough for just chatting it up with another wingrider. After all, atleast she was covered. Allowing her knuckles to rap lightly in the stone beside the cut opening, Sanura called, “Morelia? Are you awake? It’s Sanura.”

"Yes, come on in. Would you care for some klah?" Morelia answered in a calm and collected tone. told you so! Thanks ever so much...I'll remember to repay the favor. The green dragon swiveled her head back towards her weyr and the moving partition. She was curious to see how her rider was reacting. Morelia still sat in her chair at the table. Her long delicate fingers encircled her cup of warm klah.
Morelia was not always easy to get along with. She talked to very few riders other than those whom she had romantic affairs with. She didn't really have any friends at the Weyr. Her father had been a friend in a way. Her daughter took up some time most would spend with a friend. Not that she was complaining, but she would like talking with someone, even this early in the morning.

Welcomed into her wingmate’s weyr, Sanura brushed aside the hanging cloth that served as a partition and entered to find the green rider seated at her table. They had never really spoken, so though she had no idea what they would talk about, the girl still felt she should at least get to know some people besides her men. “Ah, no thanks, I never really was a fan of klah.” She replied, noting that although she didn’t seem cold, neither did the older woman appear very friendly. Well, the dark-haired girl would change that. Sitting at the table opposite the wingrider, San quickly searched her mind for what they might speak about. “So, what are you doing up so early this morning? I was going to sleep in since we were finally let off drills, but I guess you can see I didn’t get to.” The blue rider supplied, testing the rider for her reaction. Depending on her mood, this could last quite a while and be rather fun, or then again the conversation could be killed before it was even born. Now if she managed to get the subject on men….well, she was sure that was something they could both relate to.
Naraleth seems very nice, though I have never had the pleasure of speaking to her much. Aramith said suddenly, as if he just realized he was not the best friend of everyone in the Weyr. His rider had to chuckle. Love, you can’t win over everyone. Sanura said gently, but was met with her blue’s famous stubbornness. Yes I can. Switching his concentration to the green, he conjured his best gentleman voice and said politely, Good morning, lady green. Do you fare well?
Inwardly rolling her eyes at the blue’s constant desire to be on the good side of everyone in his wing, Sanura focused her cobalt gaze back on the woman across from her. She wondered vaguely why she never saw the woman about very much, but that could be at the fault of different interests. After all, she was the Weyrsinger, and perhaps Morelia was interested in something more along the lines of beastcrafting or healing. To each their own, of course.

"I suppose it can be bitter, but I must admit I'm not all too nice if I have not yet had my klah. My father was the same way. Its really a simple addiction, not necessarily started from taste. " She took one hand away from her cup, letting it fall loosley to her lap. As usual she looked over the person across from her. No doubt younger by several Turns. Morelia did not like thinking about her age, it only made her self esteem drop. You look wonderful for your age. Thanks so do you... Really? well I try. The green was joking with Morelia, who had to keep herself from laughing or spray klah all over the rider in front of her.
"As you see I'm a creature of habit. I'm so used to having to be up at this hour that I just woke up. Naraleth found it funny. Dragons don't understand wanting to stay in bed if your not sleepy, the analogy I came up with for her was sunning on her ledge... but she claimed she only did that for the attention." Morelia had no doubt that she was tryingt o charm poor Aramith at that moment.
Good morning, Aramith. I am well. Are you and yours having a good day? I was just admirning the view... She said it invitingly. Always Naraleth loved attention be it human or draconic.

((Woops! Forgot about this one…..so sorry!))
Sanura had to grin at the other rider, and shook her head knowingly. “Yes, dragons do tend to be sickeningly logical. I have to admit, though, at least Aramith has come to accept my little…..tendencies without question.” Here she chuckled, and shrugged absently. “I had the hardest time convincing him that as practical it would be for me to always wear my riding gear, I wanted to wear things I looked good in. He didn’t quite grasp the point of getting the opposite sex’s attention unless I planned on mating him.” The Weyrsinger supplied, her mind wandering fondly over her blue’s even though he was quite the thick one when he wanted to be. She would be the first to admit that he really was a very straight-laced type of dragon, one who never really thought outside of necessity. Truly, the only thing he did that was without true and real required purpose was play the endless ear to anyone who needed him. Any brother or sister hatchling, outside of bronze and gold, Aram would not stop until he had either won them over, or had made them so irritated that they were far past friendship. It was his one and only flaw; his desire of all dragon’s love.
Attention back on the green rider, the dark-haired girl laughed merrily when she heard of her dragon’s vanity. “I can relate to that all too easily. I like getting boys’ attention, too, and maybe just a shard too much.” Here she cocked her head to the side, and the blue rider felt a smirk cross her lips when she heard her bonded’s comment. Well, once again he had proved he was most stubborn when it came to his relationships with others. Aside from queens and bronzes, the blue had been painstakingly careful to keep on good terms with everyone he met, and if there was a chance to make a new acquaintance, he always took it.
Aramith was happy with the reply he received from the lady dragon, and he straightened immediately from his lounge. Now, being a wonderfully naïve dragon, the poor blue really had no idea of the green’s intentions, which could only lead in her favor. Horribly unaware of feminine intentions (most unlike his rider), he thought her offer to be only in the good of acquaintances. Taking her last words as a perfect opportunity to get to know her better, the Weyrsinger’s mount asked eagerly, Do you enjoy the view alone, Naraleth, or may I come and share it with you? His voice was polite, but anyone could also easily pick out the note of happiness that flavored his mind.

"Can't say I have that problem with Naraleth. She is never jealous of anything... and neither am I. Actually, I am pretty laid back most of the time. Naraleth is vain, and I'm much much worse..." She grinned at her dragon who seemed to be moving to one side of her ledge. Poor Aramith, she is going to flirt shamelessly...thank the Egg that NAraleth is partial to browns, Morelia thought to herself.
"I'm sure you have heard enough rumors on my promiscuity. Not that I mind, besides being a dragonrider wouldn't be nearly as fun without all those well muscled men." She had a truly devious smile on her face. "Poor Aramith." She looked over to see the Naraleth had indeed cleared space for him. "I am glad she is partial to browns."
"Sanura, I've always wanted to ask you, do you find you are always trying to prove yourself to the other blue riders because your a woman or have they accepted the fact?" Morelia knew men to be stubborn and thick headed. She hoped they did not discriminate too much. She found that Sanura and Aramith were quite a charming pair and had never once had cause to feel they didn't belong in the wing. No doubt some sharding Bronzerider had come to that judgement before meeting the pair. Ahh well, Morelia just believed strongly that women could be just as good wingriders as men, even if she did not get along with any of the other green riders. They thought her too old to be in the best wing. She would prove them wrong at the Drills.
Naraleth had cleared space for him and responded, Do come join me. I always love company. Her eyes were a normal blue and she looked a bit lazy lying in the sun.
