Morelia was suprised at his sudden boldness and melded into his kiss, eyes closed. Her body wanted him to stay but a voice of reason echoed in her head. It was mandatory that he go to the meeting, she must not be greedy even if she truly wanted to take up all his time. Naraleth woke to her riders sudden emotional whirlwind...her tone was I told you so likeIt is about time the two of you did something.Her green face was smug and held a hint of excitement in her eyes. She was looking forward to flying, as she normally did. You were rather pushy about it...
"Are you doing anything later?" Morelia asked. She meant after he had finished his duties as wingsecond for those would always come first. She would do the same in his stead. I want you to know I'm sick of browns... the way their riders have been playing you recently makes me unhappy. I'd much prefer Mnemozyth to fly me. Most greens would prefer a bronze darling. I'm not most greens... I have not been caught by a bronze before. Very true. I'm sorry to question your judgement. Naraleth let out a long breath and readjusted herself in the sun, the warm rays touching her green hide in places making her look splotchy.

L'kel smiled, just a hint as he paused at the door. "Nothin' really." He couldn't really belive this was hapening...it was great, yet so confusing. He fantasized about everything he wanted from her later that night. But, he had a meeting to go to. "I'll swing back around as soon as the meetings over...um, ok?" He added, suddenly shy, and left in a rush, so she couldn't see the pink tint to his dark cheeks.

((sounds good))
Morelia watched him leave with a silly smile splayed across her face. Naraleth still held a smug look about her, as she turned her elegent green neck back towards her ledge. The green was happy more for her rider than anything. Morelia went about getting cleaned up as she had yet to get prepared for the day ahead. First she went to bathe and then came back to her weyr to clean. She had to get the wooden shards off the ground. I'm going to need a work order for all of this. Serves you right...you know better than to throw your own things.... Thank you for that reminder, oh great one. Hmmph. Naraleth, I wonder if I'm making yet another heartbreaking decision. There is going to be a time when he will move on, and I will be without a lover again. You know how depressed I got last time. The future is just that. I wouldn't think about it if I were you. It distracts from what is happening now. Morelia sat in her chair wearing her usual attire, a pair of black pants and a red tank top. Since she had not practiced riding that day she had left her brown hair down. She was in a very contemplative mood. She remained lost in thought for quite awhile when Naraleth interrupted her again. Is it alright if I contact Bera.She has not seen much of you lately. Maybe you should take her to lunch tomorrow. Yes, why don't you tell her to plan on seeing me tomorrow. I don't want her sneaking out tonight. Naraleth did like Berelia a lot more than the other people of the Weyr. Morelia was her favorite person but if a dragon could bond to two people Nara would have bonded to both Morelia and her daughter. Morelia had become used to the dragons interest in the five turn old. The green had come in from her ledge and gone to lounge on her couch. It was a day of rest for the two of them. One that Morelia had not realized they needed. Tomorrow we will have to work doubly hard. Don't remind me... I like this relaxation time thing... Dragons always seemed to have a lazy streak.

((A couple Candlemarks later.))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
L'kel stood nervously by her doorway, shuffling his feet so that his pants whispered together. He hoped her wasn't to early or too late. He was suddenly feeling very stupid. Maybe he should just turn back now? He pondered the idea for a moent before bravely presing onward. He knocke once before ducking into her room. He was a little embarrassed for feeling that way, but he didn't relly want anyone to see him going into a greerider's room, particularily this greenrider. Even if it wasn't an uncommon sight.
"Morelia?" He said softly, looking around the room for her. His unruly locks were tidied slightly around the crown of his head, and he was his usual crisp, tall and harshly good looking self.
The greenrider had fallen asleep while waiting. Crying often made her tired and ther tears from earlier that day had worn her out. She woke just moments before L'kel entered. Her face was groggy to say the least. Naraleth was lying on her couch watching Morelia with keen interest. The greenrider had just finished a cup of klah, her eyes looked up to meet with the handsome bronzerider. Her lips expanded into a dazzling smile. She was hoping he would come.
"How was the meeting?" She asked, knowing that the meeting had nothing to do with his presence in her weyr. Naraleth gave her a mental snort, though to onlookers she seemed content. Morelia rose from her chair and began to walk slowly to where L'kel stood. He seemed very cool at the moment.
While he almost turned on his heal and ran, looking at her beautiful face made him stay. He walked over with long strides and stood beside her. He wasn't exactly sure but her questioned opened him up, "The meeting was horrible," he scowled, "We got almost nothing done. Those blue and greenrider's who think they're all that kept-" He cut off quickly, flushing. "Not that i mean- Not you. I mean-" He studdered quickly. He just gave her a gentlye hug to apologize. His views towards Morelia and hers had changed faster than his for the rest of lowered color ranks. He stole a quick glance at Naraleth, "So how is Naraleth doing? You know as in.." Her let the question trail off. He kept his own anticpation inside himself.
She watched him fight with himself over his feelings. She knew it would be hard for both of them. "You needn't hide how you feel about green and blue riders from me... for I will not hide how I feel about bronzeriders and queens. Especially queens..." Her eyes held no malice for him no matter what he had said. She was not the least bit jealous of queens for flying bronzes but she hated that they flaunted their power in general...well there were good queens and bad, just as there had been from the beggining. She could not change her views easily...she had believed in them too long. "Sometimes the thing that makes you dislike a rank is exactly why you like the individual." Morelia had never like bronzeriiders and this one was the worst of them. She would not change him for the world either.
"When she is ready Mnemozyth will know." Morelia stated in a lower voice then she had been using she lifted her head toward his, kissing him tenderly on the mouth. She wondered if he ever had women without flight being involved. L'kel had more power over her than he knew.
L'kel smiled. morelia was right. everything would be ok. If things got to complicated he would ask for a wing switch. He might even get to be a Wingleader of some minor wing. Wingseconds in Bloodchar were of almost the same honor. He responded to her kiss warmly, loving the taste she left on his lips. She was right of course, zyth would know, but he couldn't help wanting it to be soon. morelia was the strongest, most amazing woman he had ever met. He couldn't remember anyone from his old hold like her and had met few at the wery with her kind of passion. He had heard the stories though and just hoped she wasn't using him or if he wasn't just a fling. Relationships for him tended to end badly, he rarely spoke to greenriders aftrer flights and women got tired of his devotion ot work. he had almsot given up qa few years ago. He only hoped Morelia wasn't like them.
He knew he should have just gone with the flow and said nothing but he oculdn't help breaking away and hasking one question quickly," But what about our wing? What will we say?" He knew he shouldn't care what others thought but his reputation was important to him. Not that he wouldn't mind the rumors of his cold heart and unfeeling nature, but he didn't want anyone to stop respecting him.
Morelia was glad at his reaction to her kiss but pulled away as he spoke. She knew he would worry about that. "The wing will only know what they need to know, which is nothing.I suppose since rumors do start we should tell them the truth." Morelia wasn't sure what exactly to say but she figured if someone asked and only if they asked she would tell people the truth. She was in love with him and there wasn't anything anyone could say to make her stop. "If anything happens we can simply tell the Weyrleader and he can move one of us to another wing."
Its a good thing Naraleth wasn't awake to hear that. Morelia made her work out so much and then to not be in the blood Char wing...oh she would flame her if she could. Looking up at him she met his eyes, "You shouldn't worry so. We will work everything out in time." She wondered if he ever did anything without thinking it through all the way. They were such different people.
He nodded with only a small hesitation. She was right of course, it was that big of a deal. He gazed into her eyes in wonderment. How could she be so sure of things. He never was. Well he loved her because of that. he kissed her strongly again, happy to feel the taste of her lips on his again. He pulled away reluctantly and motioned for her to sit. He had brought a wineskin and set it on the table, "Its one of the finest to be found in Southern. I had it stored several years back and i'm sure its aged well. I thought this would be a good occasion to drink it." He smiled, for some reason he felt so much more comftorable speaking to her than with any other human beings. He liked that.
He pulled a topic quickly out of his head, "So how are your children, you have 3 right?" He had made sure to ask before he had come to see her. He didn't mind that she had children. He didn't particularily want any but the fact that she did was ok with him. That was the past, they were the future.
She responded to his kiss warmly. Morelia asat down quietly examining the bottle. "Wow. Its a wonder you got your hands on that, it was supposedly a very good year. " She smiled of course she was fond of wine, more than she would have liked at times.
Ahh the kid stuff. All men found it hard to talk about that subject with her, though she was more than happy to divulge information on her beloved children. "My eldest son, Jaemor is 14 Turns old and is apprenticed as a harper at the Sodalis workshop. He does visit every so often. I never had wanted children when I became pregnant I had thought of just going between and aborting it that way. However, his father convinced me to keep it. So here he is. I became pregnant again two turns later with my son, Tiborel. He hates me and never wishes to speak to me again." She stated it in a non emotive way. She had written him off as her son in everything that mattered. If one day he wished to make reparations that was his perogative not hers. "Then there is my youngest, Berelia. She is five and of all my children she has taken after me entirely." The last child had a special connection with her mother that seemed to soften the woman's features.
"You don't have any I'd wager." Morelia smiled. She would have been trhinking similairly at his age. Children had never been her top priority or even something she had thought of. Of course, when you get very intimate with people things happened. Thank Faranth she was getting to the age where she shouldn't be having any children.
He poured two glasses with careful hands, so as not to spill a drop. "Its sorry about your son. But your daughtersounds the sweetstes." He had used that non-expresive voice once or twice...or more and new not to question it. He swilled the wine in his glass and raised it slowly, "To dragons of course, for there is a toast that never is dull and...to you; the most beautiful and stunning woman in all of pern." He took a deep breath wanting to know how ashe would react, "I-I think i love you." He had never, well at least for a long time, said anything so personal to another human being. Not even Mnemozyth could unlock most of the chambers of his heart. And yet, she could at just one glance. he took her hand, lookign her seriously in the eye, "I udnerstand that this is so new, but i have to ask, that when er...if Zyth flies, your naraleth, you wil consider, becoming my official Weyrmate." He wondered if he had ever felt so nervous in his life.
He thought back on everything that had happened, his stupid crush on Revonna, how he had treated Morelia before...everything. It wasn't liek he was asking the most serious thing in the world. When Queens were flown they sualy became Weyrmated with the winner if they were even a little compatible. And he jut knew...knew in his gut that he and Morelia were destined.
Morelia smiled and took up her glass in her hand, ready to toast. L'kel's words almost made her drop her glass but she clung to it, determinedly. Morelia blushed lightly as he said the toast and after she did put her glass down on the table and stared at him a moment. Her expression showed how much she really cared for him and without a moment to spare she was smiling at him while almost crying at the same time. "I...love you too L'kel." She let the words out slowly as if letting the feel of them touch her tongue.
Was she stupid, or did he just say what she thought he just said...weyrmate? No one had ever asked to be her Weyrmate before and though that may sem a suprise it was what happened to many green riders. Morelia closed her eyes for a moment adn then opened them again, she was letting the excitement she was feeling slow down a little. "Weyrmate does have a nice ring to it." She joked a minute and then said more seriously. "I would be more than happy to be your Weyrmate L'kel. You better tell Zyth not to screw up and let someone else catch Naraleth...I don't think I could handle it." She took his hand that was still in hers and brushed it against her cheek. She did love him, more than she had ever loved a man. The emotions were sweeping over her and taking control so she took a sip of her wine after bringin her hand back down to the table.
L'kel stood abrubtly and forgetting the wine wrapped Morelia in a warm embrance, "No worries my darling, Zyth wouldn't ever do that!" He kissed gently at first and then harder. He loved her he loved her he loved her he loved her! He kept saying that over and over in his head. He picked her up in strong arms and lifted her to the bed. He loved her!
((I think it be cool to perhpas to a waking up thread where they deal with what happened the day before and go to breakfast or something to face the rest of the Weyr))
