P'resh sat at the Duro Wing table, where he had invited Amoare to come have lunch with him. He sipped his white wine, which he could sip with ease all day and not get a headache or bellyache. It was the reds he had to watch out for. Having asked the drudges to prepare sandwiches for them, there was also a pot of stew which constantly boiled over the hearth, only taken out to be renewed.
His foot tapped impatiently, and he was growing irritable, even though he knew he had been early, and she not late.

Amoare put up the broom and closed the door to the cabnet in the candidate hall. Looking at a nearby candle she decided she had time to change first. Walking quickly to her bunk, she opened her chest and pulled out a clean shirt and breeches. Pulling off her dirty ones, it only took her a few moments to change even after she paused to notice how her pants seemed slightly shorter. Running a quick brush thru her hair, she walked to the Hall; her long legs carrying her fast.
Walking into the hall, she took a moment to let her eyes adjust to the dimmer light and found P’resh sitting at his wings table. Smiling, she slowed her walk and approached the table. Taking a seat next to him rather than across from him, she smiled. “Been waiting long?”

At his most charming, P'resh replied, "For you? All my life." He smiled impishly at her, eyes twinkling. As he looked at her and gestured for her to sit, he noticed she was wearing shrunken pants. "My dear, those pants are shrinking, you know," he said, and as he did, he realized how ridiculous that was. "You may finally be growing!" His statement was in jest and had a ring of triumph to it, and he laughed. "The drudges have prepared sandwiches for us today, and there is a fine stew brewing if your are interested."

Blushing at the pretty words that just did not fit the man, Amoare laughed as he pointed out her pants. Kicking out her feet she looked at her bared ankles, “They are getting a little short…” Hearing him jest about her short stature she punched him playfully, still a child at heart.
Hearing of sandwiches and stew she licked her lips. “Food sounds great… Think they might have any rip redfruit as well?” she asked looking around.

P'resh laughed, rubbing his arm. "They probably do, we live in Southern, you know." He stood up and pushed his chair back in. Gesturing to the kitchens door, he lead the way to the food. Spotting the redfruit she so desired, he gingerly picked a piece up and handed it to her. "There!" he said. "What would you like to drink?" He turned to the containers of juice, wineskins, water skins, and milk skins. "If you did want a bit of wine, I think I can keep it a little secret between us. But they also have yummy milk for your growing bones!"

Following P’resh, she smiled as he handed her a fresh redfruit, she didn’t know why, but its juicy flesh sounded very good today. Looking at the skins, she almost asked for milk… until she heard P’resh’s comment. Narrowing her eyes at him, she stuck out her tongue as she grabbed a mug. “Juice sounds great.” she said, not lessening the glare she was giving the taller man.
He was either in a really good mood or in a sour one to be picking on her so much. My the smile on his face she guessed it was a good one. “Why are you so happy today?” she asked curiously.

"Oh, no reason," he said. "Laying eyes on your beatiful face always makes me happy." He poured her a glass of juice. Pouring himself a mug of klah instead of wine, he smiled at Amoare. "Kaunth and I had terrific drills today, and then we took a nice long bath in the far side of the river. And now I'm with you, and Kaunth is napping on his ledge, which always makes him happy." He settled the mug in the palm of his hand and began to dish out stew for the two of them. "How were chores today?" he asked.

Hearing his explanation, Amoare smiled as a slight blush colored her cheeks. He was in a REALLY good mood today to be such a flirt. Taking the glace of juice, she reached out and took his mug as well so he’d have both hands to dish with.
“Chores were good today. Gold candi’s got cleaning duty today so we basically spent the day airing out the barracks and washing everything in sight.” Licking her lips at the wonderful aroma coming from the pot, she wasn’t surprised to find her stomach growling.
“What were your wing drills to have gone so well?” she asked curiously to keep up conversations as she watched him dish out a second bowl.

P'resh smiled, even though his smiles were only for her. "We learned how to do crossovers today. Duro's been falling behind the others, and O'myron thinks we may have caught up today. Games are coming up soon, you know, and we have to be painting perfect." Now that his mug was gone, his hands were free to fill two bowls with stew. He thought he may have dished too much for the slight girl, but hearing her stomach growl, he chuckled and grinned. "I'm guessing this is not, in fact, too much?" he said, smiling teasingly at her. "But chores sound like they didn't go too bad, though I don't begrudge you your duties. I'd much rather teach greens to not crash into each other any day."
Guiding them back to the Duro Wing table, he noticed that it had begun to fill with midday eaters. He also noticed that no one had taken his spots, and probably because they knew better. When he reached the table, he set down the bowls and pulled out a chair for his love. He knew that at the Candidate table, all they had were benches to sit on, so he hoped the private chair would be an enjoyance for her. Sitting himself down, he gestured for a drudge to bring them the sandwiches that would accompany their lunch.

Amoare stuck her tongue out at the bronzer as she heard his teasing words. “I could eat as much as you any day.” she said stoutly, as she watched him fill his bowl next. Shrugging at his comment about chores, she replied “The chores aren’t so bad, although I agree, I’d rather spend time with the dragons if I can’t spend time with one of my own.”
Following the man, Amoare was surprised to find the hall filling so fast. She was use to eating after the noon-day meal so the crowd was unusual to her. Amoare watched, a crooked smile on her face, as P’resh pulled a chair out for her. Taking it she thanked him and set his mug down near his bowl.
Finding the chair rather comfortable, she crossed her legs in it, a feat usually only the smaller children could do. Taking a good sized spoonful of stew, she blew on it softly before stuffing it in her mouth. The taste was delicious, everything it had smelled to be. Taking another spoonful, it took Amoare a moment before she could swallow down some of her juice. Realizing, suddenly that she was being rude, she smiled over at the bronzer. “When are the games?”

Quirking an eyebrow at the girl's eating, P'resh smiled. "I'm glad it's so good. And I don't know when the games are. I suppose we've been waiting for the Lateo senior queen's clutch to hatch." P'resh sighed. Sometimes queens could be so difficult. He shrugged. "I wish it'd hurry, but it ought to be any day now."
He spooned some of his soup, and reminded himself not to slurp. Sometimes, when he was very hungry, he had a tendency to eat so fast, he got a decided amount of indigestion. "Speaking of the Hatching, are you going with me?"

Amoare perked up as the mention of attending a hatching. “Go with you? Can I? Do you think H’mei would let me?” she asked, excitement filling her voice. She set her spoon down as she spoke, completely forgetting the stew in front of her. Turning, she sat on the edge of her chair facing P’resh, more than ready to kiss him if he was in fact serious about taking her.
To see a Hatching! What a grand time that would be! Even though she was born and raised in the weyr, she had never actually been allowed to see one. She was more than ready to watch the dragons she loved so much come into the world.

P'resh laughed derisively. "I'm taking you with me, if you want, no matter what H'mei says. Though," he added, "I scarcely believe he'd keep you from it. Something about it being a 'good learning experience,' or whatever," he told her, grinning. "So, I'm guessing you'll be attending with me?"
She was on the seat of her chair, and he guessed she was about to kiss him, hich, of course, wouldn't be rejected. Instead of waiting, he bent to her level and kiss her lips lovingly. Oh, how sweet the girl was, how glad he was that he had found her first. He couldn't believe that he had lived here his whole life and hers and had nevre really noticed her before. Her perfect classic beauty complemented his own fabulously good looks, and her soft personality had sweetened his harsh, rude one...to an extent. He couldn't wait until she Impressed, as she indoubtedly would.

“Of course I’ll attend you! I’d like it very m…” Amoare was pleasantly surprised as his lips found hers cutting her off. A giggle found its way into the kiss, however, and the smile that accompanied it made her unwillingly break the lip lock. Thread forsaken giggles!
Quickly gaining control of her laugh, she gave him a small peck of a kiss before continuing their pleasant conversation. “Do you think we can stay for the feast as well?”

"Of course, we'll stay for the feast, you silly girl," he said, making a face at her jokingly. Honestly, she just put him into the most idiotic moods, but he loved it as much as he loved her. "Now hush your face so I can feed myself. Look, I've wasted away to nothing!" he said, grinning and taking a chunk of bread in his mouth. He swallowed and smiled at her. "It's bound to be an all-day thing, and the feasts often continue on into the night. I don't know how long you'll want to stay."
