Anouth had gone to sleep two candlmarks ago, though Nadalia was still awake. She had found no comfort in relaxing at the Barracks. In fact the new Weyrlings made it very uncomfortable for her. She couldn't sleep tonight at is was. On her way to the night hearth she had grabbed a cup of klah. Normally she woud have found a handsome man to help her deal with the solitude she felt. In fact she was avoiding men lately. Sure when it was forbidden to have relations she wanted them but now that she was free to do as she pleased she felt less inclined.
She half huddled on one of the couches next to the hearth a cloak wrapped around her like a robe. Alia didn't really enjoy other people's company as much as most people did. Either they were annoying, stared at her or tried to convince her to sleep with them. She could blame her good looks but it was also her attitude. She stayed huddled where she was holdin her klah in both hands and staring into the fire.

Walking to the night hearth with heavy steps, J'yse undid his riding jacket. He was trying to fight the chill of the autumn night, the green rider knew nothing better than a warm cup of klah and a bowl of stew to do just that.... save maybe a shot of quickal. Throwing his jacket and gloves onto one of the empty tables, the blond man waked to the banked fire and lifted the lid off of the cauldron swung there.

Nadalia was always self absorbed and being one such person, she noted the man's presence but chose to ignore him. She hugged her cloak close around her as a shiver ran up her spine. It was as if her body knew the fall approached and with it the cooler weather. Her grip on the cup of klah was almost unbreakable. Between often made one cold, she was told, all the way trough. This was a different coldness but no less potent for she began to wonder why someone like herself who was obviously beautiful and charming, would be alone so often in a place where there were so many people. Alia was happy when people noticed her but at the Weyr it was difficult.
So many good looking women and though she knew she was gorgeous, she felt the slightest twinge of jealousy for the other beautiful women who were having a good time with other people while she was left to her own egocentric thoughts. It was the way of things as she remembered them. Always yes, limitless compliments, always being the center of attention and always the most beautiful of her cothold. She did miss the attention.

Revonna headed down to the night hearth though she couldn't remember why. Maybe it was because her gold was in one of her moods or maybe she was lonely. Either way she didn't want to spend another night alone in her weyr. Then again, she didn't want to spend the night with just anyone either. Arriving in the hearth she found two others, she almost turned around and walked out again. But there was something about the woman's shoulders that stopped her. She barely glanced at the man, he didn't seem to be much company or he would have been at the woman's side already.
She poured herslef a cup of klah and sat near the green rider. She looked over at her and smiled to herself. How lucky was she to sit next to someone who was so like herself? A worthy ally if she could be won...

J'yse turned around, spoon half lifted to his lips, he was a bout to take a bite of the hot meaty broth but instead dropped the spoon back into the bowl and mubbled a curse. 'Ravonna.' "Evening Weyrwoman. Rider." With that said he went back to his claimed chair. He would eat quickly and leave... suddenly he wasn't quiet so hungry, for company or food.

Nadalia took little notice of the other person wo entered shortly after the man. Of course when she heard the man speak the other woman's name her olive eyes flashed up to get a glimpse of the Weyrwoman. The man didnt seem to sociable at the moment and the Weyrwoman didn't seem to want to speak to him either. It did not suprise the Weyrling rider. She had heard plenty of rumors of Revonna's nature. Most people disliked Nadalia unless they found her attractive, then they liked her very well indeed. The younger woman remained in the same position she had been in and gazed into the fire. Her face changed by her sly smirk she carried at the moment. Nadalia realized that this was the first time in days no one had bothered her about something or other. People were lways trying to get her attention.
