J'mie woke before the dawn, and as usual, halfway into the night. He would not wake his wing just yet. they needed their sleep and their strength. It was best to let them sleep a bit longer. He felt totally and completely bereft for a few moments after waking, a feeling he had never become used to, nor did he expect ever to feel differently. Gavanth was still sleeping on his couch.
As with most days J'mie started doing some of his extra work he took on to help in the mornings. After which he worked out, running the caverns of the Weyr before coming back to prepare for drills. He had spent several sevendays coming up with the the drills they would be doing and then his favorite, formation and acuracy drills. He'd rather they be accurate than be fast or strong.
The written work he had to do was taking the better part of two candlemarks before he decided to have Gavanth call for drills. Tell the wing to meet me in the Bowl in precisely fifteen minutes. Tell them to wear somethign comfortable because we are going to be gone all day. It is done. Gavanth said after relaying the information to the Wing. Dawn was just beggining to break over the blue horizon.

A'sero practically fell out of bed as he heard the call. We go fifteen minutes. Flame J'mie for me, will you? He asked angrily, his Bronze chuckling in a draconic way. He pulled on his pants, and riding leathers, with slow agony. He looekd longingly back at his bed. He knew he should have gone to sleep earler. He kissed the sleeping blonde still on the rumpled white sheets and rushed to Kaluth's wallow. Lets go. He said to the Bronze as they lifted off.
They were tow minutes early when they touched down. A'sero joined J'mie's side and waited for the rest of the wing to come in. "So what do you have planned for us today?" He asked, wodnering if it involved those new horribly complex formations J'mie had been working on. He looekd up, blue eyes twinkling, "Should we call Lady Mariska?" He asked, hoping the asnwer would be yes.

At least a'sero wasn't late. He had noticed he was getting better at being places early, which J'mie thought might be his influence. Some of the brown riders arrived next along with his other wingsecond. Before he knew it the wing was pretty much assembled and it weas time to take a sort of attendance. "We are trying outa few new foormations and doing some endurance training. I ahve been entirely too lax in that area." Then he continued in a normal tone of voice.
"A'sero that is a good idea, I wasn't sure if we should wake her at this hour, but if you feel she wouldn't mind then please call her." J'mie added without so much as changing a single expression. His whole wing was watching him and he had to be more than proffessional an example. Here was not the place for any emotions, now was time to work. Gavanth who is late?

((I was gonna wait for cerinthe and stuff..but hey...))
A'sero grinned, he knew J'mie wanted her there as much as he did. "Thanks." Mine, can you tell Zramuth that Desta is having there drills now ans Hers is invited Done. The bronze answered happily, he certainly never objected to drills with a Queen.
A'sero looked over the group, and frowned, "Is B'ren late again?" He shook his head at the thought of the blue rider. Their wing had standards, they started on time and worked hard straight through till the finish. Turning back to the Wignleader he asked, "So what do we have planned for today?"
~~~~~~~~~~~
Mariska was lready in her leathers when Zramuth's call came through. It was a matter of seconds for her to reach the Queen's wallow and glide down gently to the rim. She swung off the side of the Gold and walked over to the Wingseconds and the Wingleader. "D'hon, A'sero, J'mie." She agknowledged them with a smile. "I'm interested to see what your wing is up to."
J'mie answered A'sero with a determined expression. "Endurance today. We need to work on our weaknesses and that is one of them." He glanced up as the wing assembled correctly. Gavanth sent a mental picture of how J'mie wanted the Wing to be in formation. As people were still filing in J'mie began to grow impatient. He greeted the Queenrider as formal as he could, "Lady Mariska we are glad to have you and Zramuth. Gavanth will tell Zramuth where you are going to be in the formation."
J'mie turned back to the wing assembling itself and waited to see who was late, anyone late would be doing somethings for him after drills were over.
((Is this thread backdated? Or have we moved it up?))
A'sero supressed a groan. This was gonna be a tough day. He whispered in Mariska's ear, "If you wanna get out, go now." She grinned back at him but didn't move. "What, you scared Za and i will kick your little Destan ass all the way back to Sodalis" And then turned her attnetion to J'mie.
She nearly frowned at his stiff greeting, but decided it was nothing and smiled. "Hello J'mie. The wing looks good," She commented, and it was true. Zramuth lsitened to Gavanth's instructions and the pair moved themselves into the formation. Ready for some fun. Of course. Yah, lets show them what we got! They waited for further instructions.
A'sero nodded to J'mie, "I think they are all here, ready to get going?"
