Trust Corra to be working on her day off. Though to her sewing was hardly work, it was what she did when she wanted to relax and get her thoughts together. Pulling the bit of gold thread to its full length she carefully put it back into the fabric, making another stitch towards the end of the design on this new dress, royal blue with gold and bronze flits around the edges of the skirt and sleeves.
Her legs where folded under her large skirts, on top of the quilt keeping her off the ground, as her back rested lightly against one of the larger shade trees in the Weyr Bowl. Eileith was swimming in the lake nearby, floating on the water wings outstretched as she managed to soak and sun at the same time. Why don’t you use your time to talk to some of the other riders… there are a few Bronzeriders out today… Corra just smiled sighing and speaking as though she was explaining why one could not go to breakfast naked to a young child, oh Eileith, it is not for a lady to go chasing men. A woman must be courted first. Understand?
The gold did not understand but she did not argue, her rider had some interesting customs that most of the other riders did not have, but her strong principles where one of the reasons the gold had chosen her above everyone ells so she was not going to question them. It was also adhering to these principles that seemed to keep the jr. Weyrwoman happy and sane in what she considered an insane world. Corra began to hum and old song from the North without realizing it, the soft sound carrying in the wile nearly empty bowl.

Miroth was perched on a ledge above the lake, the dark bronze's eyes were blue slits as he watched the young gold below. His wings fluttered and he crooned a greeting to Eileith. Goodday, such a fine day for a swim it is. The small bronze was always in the mood to flatter a Queen when he saw one. It was his duty as a bronze anyhow. He stood and stretched, even if she was just a little gold it could never hurt. Maybe she would remember him when she grew old enough to rise. You do nearly outshine the sun today.
Miroth's rider was hardly in such a sunny mood as his dragon, although for A'zon he really was in quite a good mood. He hadn't threatened to kill anyone yet today. He sat on his weyr ledge and reviewed flight charts in the sun. These had to be perfect before he took them to G'llahar, the rider wouldn't allow himself to present any less. He shot a look to Miroth, who was perched across the bowl. You are being distracting. How can I not be enraptured with this lovely young thing before me, You should be too, go put in a good word with her rider for me. A'zon snorted and went back to his work. Blasted dragon always fawning over any gold he saw.

Eileith had just closed her eyes when the charming voice of a bronze reached her. Opening her green and blue swirling eyes again she tilted her head to look sky ward, fining the bronze and sitting up in the water. oh yes a lovely day… though a bit lonely. she closed her eyes slowly then opened them again just as slow. Just because her rider would not flirt if a knife were held to her throat, Eileith didn’t have to be the same. Would you care to join me?
Corra looked up from her work, arching one delicate eyebrow at her gold, what are you doing? just socializing… the gold rider gave her dragon a look stating quite plainly with out words, ‘oh?’ but the dragon had her defense already planed out. is it not the duty of a queen to get to know her bronzes? she had said the word, ‘duty’, there was nothing more important to Corra then doing her duty and so she relaxed going back to her won work.
Just be polite. I am always polite… you could do to talk to his rider you know… Only if he comes to me my love. Stubborn human What? Nothing.

With another happy croon, the bronze alighted from his perch and landed on the beach near Eileith. He waded into the water, all neck arches and wing flutters. It would be my pleasure to keep you company radient one. The dark bronze waded out into the water till he was near to the young gold and settled down into the water. Being small as he was, Eileith was nearly 80% of his size. He crooned happily once more. How is it you do not have a swarm of admirers on a day such as this?
A'zon rolled his eyes, really this was just too distracting. He shot a dark look at his bronze once more. Radient One? Oh very smooth. The dragon tilted his head in his rider's direction, eyes whirling happily blue. Oh I know it is, all Golds love my praise. A'zon snorted again and shook his head, that dragon was going to drive him insane one of these days. Don't you have anything better to do? Not really, no. Taciturn as always, A'zon shook his head and went back to his charts. At this rate he was never going to finish them.

Eileith beamed at the attention, sitting up and shaking her head enough to send little droplets flying, the wet only enhancing her powdery gold sheen. Why thank you handsome bronze. And what more attention do I need now that I have yours? Corra looked up gaping at her dragon before shaking her head and going back to work trying to block out the side of conversation she could hear.
If a dragon could look mischievous Eileith would have, but as it was her eyes just swirled a little faster as she pretended to ignore her rider in return focusing on the bronze. Sadly I’m not the only one that seems to be lacking in attention… it seems my lovely rider is in for a lonely afternoon herself. the gold looked to her rider in the shade and then back to the bronze, sometimes I think she works too hard for her own good… even the most dedicated human needs a break once and a wile… what about your rider strong bronze? What is he doing?

Miroth arched his neck at the praise from Eileith, it seemed this small gold could flatter as well as he could. So the bronze stood, letting her get the best view of his dark hide and muscles rippling underneath. Small he may have been but he was still a bronze in his prime. Ah but you deserve a hundred such as myself to serve your every whim. Miroth crooned again and reached out his wedge nose to touch her shoulder, eyes whirling a speedy blue. Mine too spends far too much time in his work. He sees little use in other people. I doubt he would speak to yours unless forced to.
Back on the ledge, A'zon almost choked. Sharding dragon! You will not be setting me up with some wherry brained weyrling![/b] The rider crossed his arms, dropping his work. His dark eyes shot lightning in the direction of his dragon. Despite the torrent of emotions from his rider, Miroth reacted minimally, Eileith was far more interesting at this moment. You need a mate. The bronze said simply, all dragon logic. You need to relax more, a mate would do so. Besides I am tired of flying greens. A'zon snorted again, arms still crossed and utterly unconvinced. Females are only good for a momentary distraction. I have far too much work to do to spend time dallying with one. Miroth responded with a short, exactly. You should go say hello. She likes work as much as you do. No female has anything worth discussing. Miroth snorted and crooned to Eileith again. Mine is being rather difficult.

ah but if I had a hundred how could I focus all of my attention on you? Eileith rolled on to her back in the water back peddling around him. On the beach Corra set her stitching down harder then necessary her green eyes shooting fire at her dragon, “that is completely inappropriate Eileith! What must his rider think of us?” What dose it matter? He says his rider has no time for other people, he works as hard as you do. “well its nice to know someone dose.” She picked her work back up but couldn’t concentrate on it.
In the water Eileith snorted at nearly the same time the bronze did. Mine as well… the way they are acting it wouldn’t surprise me if they got along better then they would think. she swam a little closer to the male making Corra turn her face away so not to see it. We have juice and meat roles if yours would like to take a break… nothing more. she brought her head closer to his her mind voice taking on a musky whisper, I don’t know about yours but mine… needs to talk to more people.

Miroth fluttered his wings and watched the little gold with great amusement. Ours are silly creatures. The small bronze bumped his head against Eileith's side. You have much more sense. A'zon stood, turning around to stare in utter dismay at his dragon. He could only hear half the converstation but that was more than enough. That sharding dragon, he'd half a mind to go down there and...
You should go down there, she has food. For all his anger, A'zon stopped and blinked. He'd never quite heard that firm of a tone out of the dragon. And in any case... food did sound tempting. What would it hurt to just this once. I am not about to consort with some female though. Eileith's is hardly just some female. A'zon sighed, what a pain this dragon could be.

Eileith gave a dragonic smile bumping the handsome bronze right back before swimming slowly away keeping her eye on him, why thank you handsome one, and I must say, you are not as silly as ours either. she flicked her tail splashing him just a little, so… will yours be joining mine this lovely afternoon? Just for food of cores… not that the dragon would tell her rider anyway, Corra needed a surprise or too…
