Dy'los looked around, it seemed like almost everyone was about ready to get back to the Weyrs. "Alright then, i guess we'll head over, those of you who are new here and don't really know the way can just follow me"
He smiled, begining to walk in the directions of the Weyrling barracks. Sew toddled along behind him, his glowy, greeny hide making him look a bit like an green about to rise. He was about the right size too, well he would be soon anyways. But his odd appearance had no matter to Dy'los, he could not see a single flaw in the bronze.
He wondered who he would be weyred next to. He hoped it might be S'san, or someone else he could be friends with.

H'nen caught up with the boy who had decided to lead. Until he was only a step behind him. He really wanted to be friends with someone here and the boy seemed about his age. It wouldn't do to have no friends here. Betheroth was much smaller than the Bronze dragonet but he was still keeping with the pace that H'nen had set for him. "Glad you know your way around...I'd certainly be lost otherwise." He grinned. Though the boy seemd his age he was certainly shorter than H'nen as most boys were. H'nen knew he had grown early for a boy and developed young as well. He wasn't normal but he figured he had matured early for a reason, probably because he would impress so young. Betheroth was certainly the most wonderful blue on Pern.
HE glanced at Dylos agin, "I'm H'nen from Lateo Weyr." He added amiably. This day was, after all, the best day of his life.
---------------------
Neris wasn't really herself for the walk to the barracks. Where had she gone right? She had cut almost every Candidate lesson, avoided her chores like a plague, used all her time to play music and ignored anything that had to do with dragons. Now how in the name of Faranth had she managed to impress. What would she be expected to do now. Oh this was just no good. How could she be a singer and a rider? How horrible...
Her face had gone almost as green as her dragonet. This couldn't be happening to her, it really just couldn't be. Anyone who knew Amneris would understand how she must be feeling... she didn't want this...she was afraid this would happen and had done everything in her power to avoid impressing. Fusth was too busy trying to stay awake and keep up with the pace Dy'los and his bronze were setting to take much notice of her rider's thoughts, though she understood the girl was having troubles, and could feel the mental anguish. Amneris could only think one thing.... this was either the worst day of her life or one day she would have a baby and that would be the worst day.

Dy'los glanced back, grinning as another boy introduced himself. The bluerider. Maybe he outranked him in color, but Dy'los was an amiable-non-judgemnetal and laid back type so the fact had no weight. They were all in this weyrling buisness together now. "WEll, i've kinda grown up here my whole life...so yah, i get around." He shurgged, proud of hi knowledge but trying to play it cool. He couldn't wait to get to know the rest of the class-and it was a big one.
"Your'e from Lateo, H'nen?!" Dy'los asked excitedly. He'd never been there, although had heard grand stories about their larger sister Weyr. Not that he didn't love Sodalis though. He began shooting off questions as he somtiems did," What was it like there, was it really a big as they say, do you miss anyone there, what were your friends like?" But he stopped reallizing that he was beign a little rude. "Uh, sorry, I'm Dy'los, this is my Bronze sewrinath. You have a really nice blue-what's his name?" He grinned, dimples showing. He stopped for a moment, waiting for everyone else to catch up. It wasn't too far to the barracks.

H'nen smiled at the other boy's enthusiasm. Perhaps they would all get along just fine. "I grew up there. It never seemed big to me but no that I have seen Sodalis I do think it is larger. I do miss my mother and sister a bit but nothing a dragon won't heal. My friends there were great. One of them impressed a green dragon at Savath's first Hatching. I decided not to take no for an answer and came here with a few other Candidates. " HE stopped to admire the Bronze dragonet. " Sewrinath is a large Bronze I must say." He added nicely. He had grown up around dragons too and it seemed to him his blue was tiny in comparison to his clutch brother.
"His name is Betheroth. He must be the best blue in the clutch." H'nen said a bit arrogantly but knew the dragon was perfect to him because he was his. Not that I don't think you should get to know people but I am tired....so if you two could walk more and talke less... Dragons were obviously pushy, H'nen thought irritated at the Blue for interrupting his thoughts but stilll in awe of the telepathy.

Dy'los nodded, it must have been hard to leave all of your friends and family-but Impressing a dragon seemed above all of that. "Thanks, i think Sewrinath is the second biggest...well third biggest if you count Pehireth. By the way...did you see who Impressed her? I didn't get a good look." He asked. He admired the blue for a second, agreeing with Hanen. Since Sew wasn't a blue, he could still think objectively of one Blue being better than another. He did think Betheroth was nice. He started walking again. He reached the Weyrling Barracks soon, and waited for the rest of the Weyrlings to file in and begin finding the weyrs they had picked out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Betheroth. Betheroth? A haughty dragon voice reached out from far away. She was indignant about having to talk to a little blue dragonet, especially one from Sodalis, and she wanted to go and take a bath but her rider insisted. The red haired girl next to her instructed her on what to say. This is Carseith. My rider would like to congratualte Yours, H'nen on his Impression to you, although Zylaera says she is lamost sorry because she won't get to see you for a while, but at least you two can speak through us. She said i na monotone voice. In her own mind the green dragon muttered, Its not like I'm a sharding message runner. "Carseith! I heard that." Zylaera answered her sharply, as they sat in her Weyrling weyr. Please be nice to Betheroth's he is H'nen'ws and you know H'enen is one of my best friends. Be nice. the Green grumbled but complied. My rider hopes she may be able to get the Weyrlingmaster's permition to go to the Sodalis hatching and advises yours to get sleep while he can 'cause "He's gonna need it." The Green finished. Why would anyone give a shard about dragon and dragonriders other than browns and bronzes. ((I'm gonna wait for everyone else and then maybe we can start the thread in the Weyrling barracks. I just added the Zylaera thing in, because she'd prolly send H'nen somethign through carseith You don't have to reply if you don't want to. xD

"The Queen hatched after me....I didn't see who it was either." He glanced down, he really wasn't going to be as interested in Queens as Dy'los was, though that was probably a good thing... no real competition between them then. He thought about it and wondered what would be available when they got to the Barracks.
Betheroth was concentrating on the green's message and trying to relay what she said to H'nen. Greetings Carseith. The blue replied sleepily. Mine says thank you and he looks forward to seeing yours. The blue seemed to not notice the other dragon's temper. You have a lovely voice Carseith. H'nen rolled his eyes at the blue . Although it was kind of cute. The little blue butted his head into H'nen's leg. He really was excited now. Zylaera is greatly missed by mine. The Blue added without instruction for being so young he really did understand life a little.

Dy'los nodded, "Pity..." ~~~~~~~~~ Carseith listened and relayed the replies to her rider. Yah, yah , yah. She said i nreply to the compliment. Now if you're done i'm going to go get something to eat. She now tuned out the blue, much to the annoyance of her rider. "You could be nice some times..." The green made an exhasperated sound and went to go get some fat wherrie.
