Amoare had fallen to her knees in her pure adoration of the little one that had broken from its shell. She had been born and raised here at Sodalis, always finding herself in awe of the great dragons that flew above her. Even though she had loved them for their pure grace and raw power, Amoare was not prepared for the passion she would feel when her eyes fell up on that golden hatchling. Of all the queens Amoare had seen in her life time, none had ever moved her like the sight of this one coming into the world.
Breathlessly she watched, mouth slightly agape as the little queen forced her way thru the girls that had found themselves in her way. Even as the little thing caused more pain than all of the other hatchlings had combined, she could not lose the wistful lust she felt for the little thing. Before she knew it, Amoare found herself facing the dragon at near eye level, tears slowly rolling down her face.
My name is Periheth. You are mine now, Amoare. The voice of the young queen sounded so much like Amoare's own and yet there was a slight and subtle difference. The sound of the dragon in her head did not shock Amoare, not in the least as she had heard from Kaunth twice before. It was the words she had spoken... and the fact that she had spoken to her. As much as Amoare had always dreamed of impressing a golden beauty, she couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised by it.
And I will always be yours, Periheth... Standing, she gently reached out and caressed the soft, still wet eye ridge as she looked up, not to the stands, but to the golden queen Caliath as she bowed slightly to her. "Her name is Periheth."
