Seven Turn Histories
Merda
Turn One
Caliath rises twice, once near beginning of Turn and once near the very end. Both times, she is flown by J’ren’s Beodith. Clutch A produces 33 eggs, and clutch B produces 35. No Queens.
A) 10 bronzes, 10 browns, 7 blues, 6 greens.
B) 9 bronzes, 10 browns, 8 blues, 8 greens.
Merda herself develops light joint ail. She knew it would be inevitable that it would come, and it has. So far, it’s only a slight irritation at times, and a small dose of fellis often relieves the pain almost immediately.
Turn Two
Caliath rises near to the middle of Turn. She is flown by J’ren’s Beodith. Clutch C produces 34 eggs. No Queens.
C) 10 bronzes, 9 browns, 8 blues, 7 greens.
Merda’s joint ail remains about the same, and she gets along as well as she always has in her old age. She and J’ren have settled a few differences, and get along better than they ever have, completely unifying Sodalis Weyr. Merda has heard tell of an uprising…but she refuses to pay it any mind, and so far, nothing bad has come along.
Turn Three
Caliath rises twice again this turn, again mid-spring and then mid-Autumn. Once, she is flown by (___)’s (___th), but in the autumn, she is recaptured by Beodith. Clutch D produces 36 eggs, and Clutch E produces 31. No Queens.
D) 11 bronzes, 12 browns, 6 blues, 7 greens.
E) 8 bronzes, 8 browns, 8 blues, 7 greens.
Merda’s joint ail has worsened, but since it has happened over a year, and only slightly, Merda barely notices. She still takes the same amount of fellis in her juice, and occasionally, she and H’mei celebrate their joint ail together by clinking fellis glasses. A gift is made to the Weyrwoman of a blue fire lizard; she names him Sir.
Turn Four
Caliath rises once this turn, in early- to mid-Autumn. Her risings begin to be fewer and further between now, and produce a few less eggs. She is caught by Beodith. Clutch F produces 34 eggs. No Queens.
F) 9 bronzes, 10 browns, 7 blues, 8 greens.
Merda’s joint ail worsens visibly, as she has trouble bending at the waist and stretching her arms out all the way. She begins to exercise caution in her fellis usage, not wishing to become addicted like her friend H’mei. Sir takes on a more active role in Merda’s life, bringing her things out of her reach on the floor and on shelves.
Turn Five
Caliath rises in late-Summer. She is caught again by Beodith. Clutch G produces 30 eggs. No Queen.
G) 7 bronzes, 8 browns, 7 blues, 8 greens.
Merda falls down a couple of stairs on her way down from her weyr. When she can’t raise herself to her feet, Sir appears over her screeching. Impressing to Sir how important the situation is, she forces the blue fire lizard to calm down. She sends him for the Weyrhealer, and is found by healer less than five minutes later in much pain. He has come with assistants, and helps her up and to the infirmary. There she recovers, Caliath and Beodith keeping constant vigilance upon her. She is put on a higher dose of a fellis temporarily to lessen her pain, and then slowly taken off to caution against addiction. She becomes better, but begins to doubt her abilities as a leader.
Turn Six
Caliath rises mid-spring, and she is caught by Beodith. Clutch H produces 33 eggs. No Queen.
H) 9 bronzes, 8 brown, 7 blues, 9 greens.
Merda still has doubts over her abilities for weyrleadership, but she still refuses to retire while Caliath can rise and produce good, Thread-ready clutches. The rumors of rebellion magically stopped when Revonna, her junior weyrwoman, was transferred to Muneo, to no surprise of Merda. The youngest junior Weyrwoman, Amoare, seems to have some silly ideas, but as for now, they are no worries to the Senior Weyrwoman.
Turn Seven
Caliath rises in the early-Autumn and is caught, once again, by bronze Beodith. Clutch I produces 30 eggs. No Queen.
I) 7 bronzes, 9 browns, 7 blues, 7 greens.
Merda still does not let her doubts about her fall two turns ago interfere with her abilities to lead, and her closest friends tell her that is what is important. Caliath’s flights are occurring fewer, and Merda knows that she must retire as soon as Caliath doesn’t fly anymore. She has been making plans for that--she knows she must soon speak with Kyparla about retiring to the younger Weyrwoman’s Lateo beaches.
