S’hon was quick in dressing as all he had to do was find a new shirt. Picking up one of his nicer, long sleeved, button up shirts (still black). He rolled up the right sleeve as it would not fit with the wrapping on and then decided to do the same with the other leaving both his forearms showing. Giving Mazbeth a punch that didn’t faze him as he left the weyr S’hon hoped fervently that the kitchen was restocked with mead to dull the pain of his arm if not the impending lunch lunch.
Walking with purpose in his stride S’hon made it to the dining hall rather early. There where few people there most stragglers from the earlier lunch that where getting ready to leave. Ether way S’hon was happy to see his wings table empty and taking a seat on the fare edge, called for his normal mead, he would not get his food until Daine was there, even with her he had cretin standards of manners he would not break. The drudge smiled as she placed a large pitcher of warm mead on the table in front of him and S’hon replied with a cold nod as he pored himself a glass, keeping his eye on the door. He would stand when Daine entered and then meet her at the food table.

The entire way to her weyr, Veralidaine got stares and fingers pointed at her while they whispered to their neighbors. Shards, could they talk. She couldn't get by anywhere without someone looking at her in that unusual snickering gaze. One girl had even come up and asked if she was going with S'hon. Daine wasn't stupid, and her glare was deadly enough to make that once smirking girl cowering back to where she had come from. Just because she wore his jacket did not mean anything.
She wasn't sure what was worse: wearing his jacket or not wearing it. By the time she made it to her weyr, she was already exhausted. Her clothes were clinging to her with that foul smell of the Springs and she wasn't going anywhere with that. It was a quick bath, a cold one too, where she stripped, got it and scrubbed herself and her hair clean, then hopped back out with a towl wrapped around herself. Daine grabbed a fresh outfit of her oversized shirt and pants and quickly slid into them. Her hair was wet all over again, but there was nothing she could do about that.
She left the supplies for S'hon's arm on her mini table for tomorrow and grabbed the Wingsecond's coat before leaving. Again, the same people pointed and stared for her even holding his coat. What was their problem? The greenrider growled and stalked into the Dining Hall, where S'hon awaited drinking his mead. What a pleasant welcome. Her voice was sharp and dangerous as she shoved his clothes back at him, "Thanks, but it wasn't worth what I got from it." She let her gaze fall over a certain number of people who were whispering in their direction and giggling. He should get the point from that alone.

S’hon stood as Daine entered arching his eyebrow at the look on her face. He knew she didn’t want to be here but to be scowling like that? His question was answered as she shoved his coat back into his arms and the few people continued to giggle glancing their way. If Dains eyes burned them, S’hons froze them to the bone as they quickly vacated from the combined blows of the Helios riders. Glaring at them as they left S’hon shook out his coat and placed it over his chair before gesturing to Daine. “what is lunch with no food?”
Leaving for the food table he handed Daine a plate before turning his back on her to pile his own with mostly meat and bread. He waited for her to get what she wanted before heading back to the table and after waiting for her to sit, sat himself. He let his hair fall in front of his face, tickling his nose before he began to eat, only a little before drinking more mead. He was getting a little buzz and didn’t want it to die just yet,

The scowl still on her face, she followed S'hon to the lunch tables. Thank Faranth those people had left or she would have given them a scar to remember her by. She meant remember her by because after that E'mion would skin her alive. Daine found it a bit strange that he stood whenever she arrived, waited for her to get his food, and even handed her a plate. Why was he being so formal with her? No one else cared...and yet he was being a complete gentleman to a woman he probably hated.
Well, that didnt matter right now. She took a hot bubbly pie and a cup of klah back to the table with her. She never ate that much anyway, and the greenrider had a particularly fondness of bubbly pies. They were her favorite, and one of the only things someone could use to bribe her with. As she sat down at the Helios table, she noticed S'hon drinking his mead again. Shards did he drink a lot, or at least whenever she was there. For a moment her gaze hardened when she was reminded that her father drank. But he wasn't her father.
"You sure you can hold that much?" She motioned to the mead, clearly taunting him that he wouldn't be able to drink that much without falling over flat. Daine thought her tolerance was pretty high, but she had never really gotten to see S'hon drink that much to be able to compare. "I doubt you could finish that without passing out." She smirked. Why was she challenging him? For some reason, this took the awkwardness out of their lunch "date" (although she thought of it as babysitting his arm), and she pursued it without realizing the consequences.

S’hon looked up at her arching his eyebrow. Was that a challenge? Well he was sober enough to understand that much and had enough of a buzz to take it. He could drink more then most, and the fact that he did not stumble or pass out when he was drunk made it a bit easier for him to drink most riders under the table. That wasn’t to say he did not get plastered on occasion, that was after all how he had gotten his tattoo.
Running his hand through his hair to move it from his face as he looked up S’hon smiled, a sarcastic smirk, with a ‘I’ll show you’ twinkle in his good eye. Waving for another pitcher S’hon filled his glass and then Daines, with a small solute he downed his cup in two big gulps. Setting it down and licking his lips he continued to smirk. “I’m sure you would pass out long before I get drossy…” even if he could not put her in her place in their wing he could beet her in this, he was determined.

Daine had to give a quick and mocking "ha!" when he had downed his cup. So he could chug a small cup of his drink, big deal. She could do the same, even better, she was sure of it. After he made his confident comment, she smirked right back at him and chugged her drink in two gulps as well. Veralidaine slammed the drink back onto the table as her emerald eyes burned in triumph. This would be easy. The drudge was walking around to other tables, but she called for her to return to the Helios table.
"We'll just take that from you..." The greenrider took both the one they had just been drinking from and an entirely new and unopened one that was twice the size of the first one. They probably didn't even need the second one at this rate. S'hon would be passed out long before they reached it. "I challenge you to a drinking contest. Whoever can hold their own the longest wins." Filling both of their cups, she raised her cup to clink against his before she downed her second one in another two gulps.

S’hon said nothing, but flipped the drudge a mark for her trouble. “Keep them coming, we might need more if the lady wants Me to pass out.” He looked at Daine and not the girl as he spoke, clinking his glass to hers and again downing his. He did not slam his glass down, determined to show enough control to set his down lightly before filling two more cups. And holding them up again, “you don’t need to take a brake between cups do you?” he was taking a little to much pleasure in teasing her and back in there weyr Mazbeth wasn’t to sure if that was a good thing or not. He wanted S’hon to socialize but… when he got drunk… he talked.

Daine smirked and downed another. "Of course, can you?" She filled another cup, downed it, filled another, downed it, and so on. They finished the first drink and she was finally beginning to feel a bit dizzy. "G-getting dizzy yet? I'm not..." She uncorked the second bottle and poured herself and S'hon another. This continued until the second bottle, when Daine was so wasted that she was definitely not herself anymore. She was grinning...something no one ever saw her do, and hiccuping constantly as well.
She picked up the now empty bottle and shook the bottom at her cup as if trying to pour out the last drops. "Whoops! No mooore.." She giggled and dropped the bottle on the ground in a loud crash. Daine feigned innocence and then burst out laughing as the drudges started to clean up the mess. "How silly of me. But you see, neither of us passh out yet.." Her words started to become mashed together, making it hard for anyone but another drunk to understand what she was trying ot say. "Sho..who would you say won?" She hiccuped again and laughed, banging her hand on the table as if she had just told an amazing joke.

S’hon matched the green rider glass for glass deterred to win. When all was over he was just as drunk as she was, but showing it in a much different way. He was smiling, and laughing, showing exactly how handsome he was, his laugh was not a giggle and he didn’t slur too much but he never talked so much as when he did when he was drunk.
“Nope.” He said smiling and laughing as Daine tried to get more out of the empty bottle, when she dropped it he made hushing noises, leaning over the table closer to her. “shhhh.” But he couldn’t keep it up, as he began to laugh as well. Half sliding half falling out of his chair S’hon tried to help the drudge clean up but was only getting in the way as he fell back laughing some more. “Me I won, I can still stand.” He demonstrated, standing too fast and swaying slightly before straitening. He grew silent however making hushing motions. Wile they were drinking, the beginning of the Dinner rush started, meaning that a few instrumentalist where playing some songs for the riders.
“I like this song… I used to dance to this song… do you dance Daine?” not Veralidaine but Daine, he was completely relaxed now in his drunkenness as he leaned over the table again though he was now standing. “I used to dance all the time. Feona taught me, I was her best student.” He puffed out his chest a little as he stated this accomplishment with pride. Of cores Daine wouldn’t know the woman from High Reaches but if she did she would know that she was very hard to please and it was her fault that S’hon was such a gentle man. This was the true sine of his intoxication; he was talking, being completely honest and open. This was why he normally did not drink to much with other people around.

Daine laughed and shook her head. "No, no. You shake too much. Watch this!" The greenrider attempted to stand and wobbled a bit before toppling over backwards onto her back with her legs still on the bench. The wind was knocked out of her for a split second, and as it came rushing back to her, all could hear her laughs echoing in the Great Hall. The people were indeed gathering for the main meal, but she barely noticed as she lay on the floor.
"Woah. Everyone's so big from down here." She looked craned her neck to look up at him over the other side of the table. "You too, you know." She grinned and crawled back to her hands and knees, where she used to bench to help pull herself up to standing position. Veralidaine hiccuped and bent down to try and help S'hon and the drudge too, but continued to giggle every time the bronzerider fell down. The drudge rushed away, but Daine still chuckled at S'hon.
"Did I ever tell you how handsome you are?" She seemed serious for a moment as her emerald eyes stared into him, but all seriousness ended there as she burst into another fit of giggles and hiccups. Again she had to use the table to climb back to her feet, when the music began to play and she immediately wanted to dance. "Ooh, Feona? Whowasthat?" Her words smashed together again as she tried to pretend to be serious, but her grin continued to break through.
"Dance?" She hiccuped. "Of course" hiccup "i can" hiccup "dance!" She grinned and looked towards the dance floor, which was overflowing with people, or at least it looked like it to her. "Are there really that many twins here?" Turning to S'hon, and using the table to balance herself and hold her weight, she asked, "Where will we dance if there's no more room?" Her disappointment came in the form of a pout at having the dance floor taken away from them when she was just starting to have so much fun. Hopefully S'hon would have an idea, and her hopeful eyes locked onto him.

S’hons eyes winded, making him sway a little again as he laid onto the table to try to reach Daine. But he couldn’t reach as he tried groping in mid air laughing to hard to even remember what he was trying to do as she picked herself back up. Laughing too hard he fell over again almost falling on the drudge who scowled as she over balanced and fell down. Daine tried to help them but S’hon was too busy trying to do the same and the drudge soon retreated.
S’hon froze at the serious look in her eyes, only for as long as it took her to laugh and then him to follow. “Yep your drunk, I won, I still know I’m not handsome.” He laughed at his own expense, covering his eyes with his hand as he ran his hand through his hair, swaying a little again. he seriously doubted even in his drunkenness, his own worth, “now you one the other hand… have always been… pretty…” his eyes where dreamy for a moment as he looked through his fingers at her, before laughing again, he didn’t know what was funny but it didn’t matter now did it’?
at the mention of twins S’hon looked to the dancefloor, with only one eye, it didn’t mater how drunk he got, he would only see one person. “Twins…? I don’t see any twins? I knew a stet of twins once…” but he was interrupted by her desire to dance her big green eyes staring up at him like a lost puppy. He looked around, a little to fast as the room spun a little. Grabbing his own head to make it stop he found himself staring at the empty table in front of him.
He glanced at Daine and then at the dance floor and then at the table, his mind taking a bit too long to register each thing and refusing to see that the dance floor was not that full. Looking at Daine again he smiled a wicked smile reminiscent of a young trouble some boy. He held out his hand and steping onto the stool reached for Daine, “don’t you worry Milady, if they will not clear the floor we shall make our own.”

Daine laughed and shook her head, making tsking noises like the adults would do towards the naughty weyrbrats. "That's the drink talking." She smiled at S'hon, lighting up her eyes in a way that was neither threatening or deadly, but...sparkling with laughter. It was a face no one got to see, and her smile was her charm that suddenly clicked and showed her for the beautiful woman she was. The only problem was that when she was not drunk, none every saw that smile and therefore never got the full effect of her looks.
"No, you are very good looking." She hiccuped and giggled before continuing. "I just never wanna tell ya 'cause I like having secrets and you'd look at me funny." When he denied the twins, she looked back at the dance floor. It looked like there was one of everybody, and then a see-through twin dancing just next to them. He didn't see it? "Oh, maybe it's the drink." She chuckled. "It tends to do things to me after a few drinks. But I'm not drunk, just a bit woozy. So I say I win."
He seemed to spin for a bit at her obvious desire to dance, and she reached out to steady him with a gentle hand. "Woah, there. If I didn't know better..I'd say you're drunk!" She hiccuped and laughed, then followed his gaze to the empty table. What was he thinking. Before she knew it, he had jumped onto a stool and offered a hand to her. There were no questions asked and she immediately gave him her hand. He was such a gentleman. He always was actually, and she just never wanted to acknowledge it.
First he offered to do her chores, then he saved her from the feline, and he always stood up when she arrived or waited for her before getting his food. Now he offered her his hand, something no one had done for her. Something inside her jumped, but she was far too drunk to think of it as anything other than a tickle and she laughed. He was reaching out to her, just as she reached out to him. But none of it really clicked. Why was he always so nice to her when no one else was? He wasn't like the rest of them. Neither was she. They were different from everyone.
Her head spun a bit after thinking too much. It was the drink. She grinned as they stepped on the table. "You say you're such a good dancer, so you better not be lying." She grinned, ignoring the few stares they were getting for standing on a table. It was an energetic song, and every nerve ending in her body trembled to the beat. Daine began to dance, as if she had been born to dance all her life. The music became a part of her and her a part of it. As they melted into one, she looked to S'hon, seeing how well her partner was doing.

S’hon tried not to laugh at her tisking but returned it just the same shaking his finger slightly. “ah no you know that’s not true, Your to beautiful to think I’m good looking…” his smile was charming if a bit childish, but then he ruined it by trying to scrutinize her. “Looking at you funny? Don’t I always look at you funny?” but he couldn’t’ hold the state face and began to laugh again, a deep barking laugh much like a large dog. “I’m just kidding, just kidding… but I have secrets too, well you know some of them now but not all of them… NO, no, no your drunk your dunk, I won give it up Daine I beat you this time.” He had changed subjects at the speed of light without even realizing it. She really was beautiful when she smiled like that… why didn’t she do it more often?
standing on the table now S’hon got into the dancing stance, still holding her hand with his left and placing his right on her hip, it was well formed under her clothes and he seemed to rest naturally on it. Taping his foot to the music S’hon began to lead the way, melting into it much like Daine. He was steady as he danced all of the memories of his lessons coming back. He even managed to keep them from falling off the table as the two riders, so different and yet so the same became one in the movement of the music. She was dancing wonderfully and S’hon smiled at her as they swung around. She was so graceful and beautiful just like him, but neither of them had been able to see it until now… if only they would remember this in the morning.
They spun around a few more times as the music ended, S’hon ending by putting Daine into a perfectly executed balanced dip. It wasn’t until after he had pulled her up to standing that he swayed a bit as he clapped, louder then most, his great strong hands beating together. “ow ow.” He grabbed his injured arm but couldn’t help but laugh despite the shock of pain from the force of his clapping. “oops… I forgot about this…hehe that hurt. There is a bit of advice for you Daine.” He stood striate gesturing as he spoke much like an old uncle retelling the stories of the good old days. “never ever jump in front of a feline, It hurts,… well unless there is someone who might get hurt… but even then you don’t do it,” he shook his finger at her as though she had just done it a moment ago, “you let me do it. We can afford to loose me, your too important.”

Veralidaine laughed at his joke, not even realizing what he had meant. And then he cut short and she tugged at his uninjured arm. "No no no! Tell me! You started it, now you finish it!" Her eyes glowed in defiance, although it was broken as she began to laugh again. "Please?" She looked up at him, still holding on tight to his shirt. "For me?" She pouted, hoping he would spill it all. "Ha! I am not drunk!" Her fists jumped to her sides and she swayed a bit, but caught herself quickly enough. "I won I won!" She stomped her feet, then began to laugh all over again.
As they began to dance, she watched how well his form was. He was an amazing leader. She wouldn't mind him leading her all the time. She smiled back at him. See? He was handsome! How did he not see it? Daine could almost melt at the sight of it, but she held up strong to continue dancing. The music seemed to bridge the gap between them...connect them. She was a good foot away from him, but it still felt like they were one as they danced to the beat in unison. Maybe it was just the song, yes, that must be it. They smiled at each other as they danced to the music...and she knew they were the best in the room.
And all too soon the song ended, although maybe it was a good thing with the way S'hon began to sway. She laughed and clapped along with him but had totally forgotten about his injured arm until just then. Daine shook her head at him, disagreeing. "No, no. You more important that Daine. You are S'hon with job of leading the Wing with Wingleader. I'm not needed." She stepped forwards and began to sway as well, falling forwards into S'hon. "Whoops! Silly me!"
She looked up at him and saw the scar from an entirely different angle. 'I want to...touch it.' Her hand reached up slowly towards his face, but she was interrupted by a loud and vibrant song and she jumped back. "Oh! Fun song!" She grabbed S'hon's hand and began to dance around, kicking and shouting, every once in awhile singing in instead of screaming, "whoo!!" More and more people began to draw their attention to the two Helios Riders, but Veralidaine didn't notice; she was having too much fun...something she hadn't had in turns.

S’hon looked sideways at the green rider, smiling in a teasing way, “I don’t know… they are purity secret… what would I get out of It.” He crossed his arms over his brad chest, looking up away from her stubbornly, though he shot glances out of the corner of his good eye as he did so. She really was cute when she begged but he could play the stubborn child part too. he was distracted as they began to dance loosing himself in the music and the moment. They really where the best in the room, and the ones drawing the most attention do to there position and their normal personalities.
The people of the Weyr may not have known either of them very well, but with there attitudes and personalities the people new of them. And right now they where being anyone but themselves, though only they could really see the details of the change that had come over them the others could see how wild they where being and where staring unashamed at their antics.
The song done and his own opinioned of his worth compared to hers stated, S’hon arched an eyebrow at Daine, ignoring at first what she had said. “do you normally talk like that?” then it hit him what she had said, it really was taking a wile for things to register in his befuddled mind. “Oh no no, Daine is much more important then S’hon. Daine has spirit and potential, anyone can be a wing… a wing…. Second that’s what it is a wing second.” He began to laugh again but was cut off as Daine fell into him. Catching her in his arms S’hon held her for just a moment as she looked up at him. Even in his drunkenness he almost pulled away from her touching his face. But he didn’t, instead he held his breath with out realizing it, waiting for the contact only to have it pulled way from him as the music started again.
It took all of the skill that had been ingrained into his head, not to fall over as Daine began to dance more wildly. He did not Kick but he did stomp with her, trying to keep her from the edge of the table as much as possible. But as the song got faster, and the drink refused to loosen its grip on him he lost his balance, allowing himself to be pulled too much by Daine, sending them both falling off of the table. Showing a surprising amount of agility in mid air S’hon turned pulling Daine into him as they fell, and landing so his back hit the floor and she landed on him. The wind was knocked out of him and his legs hit the stool sending it tumbling over.
Trying to catch his breath and laughing at the same time. S’hon continued to hold on to Daine, almost with out realizing it, but some where in the back of his drunken mind he wanted to hold her. “are… you… o tay?” he couldn’t stop laughing as he weased for air that was coming slowly but surly.
