It was just inching past midday when Dulin's feet first wandered onto the ground of the Weyr. Within a matter of moments, he was absolutely and unforgivably lost. In his 23 turns of life, this was the first time that he had been on Weyr grounds, and the many underground tunnels and layers had his mind spinning. He did his best to look like he knew where he was going and what he was doing, but the facade soon fell when someone from the Weyr itself asked him if he was new to Sodalis, and where it was he was heading.
After an honest "I don't know" and some directions from the nice young woman (who batted her eyes like a bug-laden herdbeast), Dulin went on his way. Apparently, he needed to check in with the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader about his arrival, and (point two on his agenda) if he wanted anything to eat, he could find the kitchen and hall in another direction.
Dulin, however, lost his direction again. Rather than pay close attention to the directions given to him, Dulin carefully looked at the faces of the people who passed him, looking for some familiarity. The only person he knew at the Weyr was his sister, though she didn't even know that he had arrived.
He had thought that he was heading in the right direction to meet with the leaders of the Weyr, but instead, found himself drifting down halls where the wafting smell of food clung to the air. Instead of finding the the Weyrs of the leaders, Dulin managed to find food, and his primal survivor instincts demanded that this be taken care of before he make the necessary cordial events of the day.
Stomach growling, Dulin made his way to find some much needed nourishment.

Sitting on a table, caught between a mug of klah and her notes sat the spritely young woman who called herself Kaminari. She liked the noise and bustle of the main hall and even as she wrote the young harper was paying attention to the goings on. But for the moment all that everyone seemed to be talking about were the feasts. Who wore what and who was seen with who, altogether dribble and not quite the kind of information the dark eyed girl was looking for. She leaned back and sighed, it had been a long day and she'd hoped to catch Z'rion here after he got off from drills. Taking a sip of her cooling klah she was quickly apeased as a passing drudge refilled it for her. She went back to her work, cradling the hot mug.
Her mind was still spinning, maybe the choice of sitting in the Hall hadn't been as good a one as she thought. Stopping again, she ran a had through coal black hair. Sharding brain, for once she wanted it to turn off. Really she was just getting none of this down and she needed to, her Master expected updates. Wherry brained old man, he'd sent her here to get rid of here, she really shouldn't have to do this. Taking another sip of klah she went back to work, all Masters were gas and ash.

Z'rion was dusty, at least that was the word he thought of when he looked at his leathers. They could use a day with some heavy rainfall that was certain. How he missed his home...he really did need to make a visit. After washing up a littel in his weyr he walked in his normal assured confidant style, into the Weyrhall. Greeting most the people he knew he took a look arounf the Hall to see who was there...never knew when you would see someone you woanted to sit with.
He knew who he was looking for in the back of his mind it was like he only came there to find her. Of course he aught to have sat at Ardeo Wing's table. As if he hadn't known she would be there his eyes rested on her in a sort of relief. As soon as he could he took a seat across from the very lovely harper he happened to know.
"Is this seat taken?" Z'rion asked Kaminari in one of his more charming tones. Nothign could ever hide his voice well enough that one wouldn't know who he was. His voice was much to distinct.

At the sound of the bronzerider's voice, Kaminari was up out of her seat and had her arms wrapped around his neck, the skins she'd been working on scattered across the table. "Of course it is." With that happy, all too silly grin, she ploped back down onto the bench. Kami quickly gathered the skins again and began to thumb through them. Glancing back up, she smiled brightly once again. "Get some food, then tell me how practice went." A simple Harper ordering a bronzerider around, it was enough to make her want to giggle. But she knew Z'rion would be as amused by it as she was and in any case he could probably use the food, he normaly did.
She collected the skins together and then took another sip of her klah. "I'd knew you'd show up if I waited long enough." Which of course was undeniably true, for her as much as him. Good food was not a thing she was about to waste. And the Weyr had some of the best food she'd ever had, Kami swore they must pluck the best cooks from around Pern to serve in the Weyr's kitchens. She laughed inwardly, no doubt that was fairly close to what actually happened. Being able to cook well must be fun, all that good food all the time. It was a good thing she couldn't, otherwise she'd be as plump as a stuffed wherry.

Dulin weaved through the tables, trying to find a descent place to sit that would be far enough away from people where he would not be intruding on something private or on people who just didn't like stangers. He would tred water for a few days, before making his big splash.
He shuffled sideways along the tables, his back turned to one, while his face was turned to another. A stray bit of bread kept flouncing about on his plate, and the only place he could find for it was sticking out of his mouth. At least it kept it from falling on the floor... His ears picked up stray bits of conversation here and there, nothing that was really spectacular. Bits of rumors, something about a feast that had been recently held, and all of the flim-flam that comes with such a thing.
"I'd knew you'd show up if I waited long enough." He heard someone say behind him. Kami...!?! He turned around, and there she was, sitting at a table, facing in his direction. And there he was, his satchel in one hand, his food balanced in another, and a piece of bread hanging out of his mouth.

The Bronze rider was suprised at her show of affection in the hall, though he welcomed it. Laughing he took a moment to watch her with the hides and when she looked back up, he realized he was still standing where he had been the moment before. "Food first then... do you need anything? Another cup of klah?" He was going to be up getting food anyway. She had been waiting for him...he didn't let himself get too worked up over it but he felt himself get excited. She wanted to see him as much as he wanted to see her... he was grinning like a fool again but at least both of them were.
Food... right. He left his riding gear on his seat as he went to get food. He could use some good food at the moment too. He felt he was dying of hunger. Viderieth are you eating today? The Bronze spoke through a yawn...Tomorrow. I'm not that hungry right now. The sun is warm and I am tired. Dragons...always sunning. Its a wonder that you can be so lazy. Like dragon, like rider. And so quick with a good retort. touche my friend.

Kami stared past Z'rion, her mouth agape. She shook her head and rubbed her eyes, not at all sure if her mind was playing tricks on her. That man looked an awfull lot like... but no, it couldn't be. He was dead, he'd been dead for years. Her dark eyes wide she looked to Z'rion and then back to the man standing less than a dragonlenth away. When the bronzerider offered to get her something all she could do was shake her head dumbly and swallow. Kami stood slowly and walked over to Dulin, looking him up and down she was sure she was seeing a ghost.
She swallowed again, half fearing she'd gone mad. Maybe she had firehead, or maybe there had been something in the klah. This couldn't be, he... he was dead. She'd read the letter herself, lost at sea. It had said the ship had never arrived. The young harper ran a hand through her hair and cocked her head at the man in front of her. "I'm sorry but you look an awfull lot like someone I knew."

Dulin watched Kami's reaction with a mixture of observance and humor. Oh, he was completely certain that the girl (young woman, he reminded himself) was Kaminari, and that she had, in fact, recognized him. Or, at least, she thought that she recognized him. Which actually meant that she recognized him, but she didn't think he was him. Not that any of that would make sense to the normal person, but in Dulin's mind, it was a kind of poetry, and for a second, he thought himself quite clever.
The moment passed and he was left there again, with her speaking to him. He placed the plate of food on the table, and took a bit of the food in his mouth, placing the still unfinished roll on his plate. He smiled in the way he did from age ago.
"I should hope so, lil' crawlie," he said, using the nickname that she knew she hated.

((*pokes HG* ^^))
Kami's eyes wided even farther and her mind whirled as fast as a dragon's eye. She shook her head slowly and looked back to Z'rion and then to the man in front of her again. "No, it can't be." She breathed softly, still astounded at the presence of Dulin before. Almost, almost she could beleive. Who else had called her that sharding name. But, but, how could it be him. "You're... you're dead. I saw the letter... how?"
It just couldn't be him. This was some cruel and awful joke to mess with her head. Dulin couldn't be here. He'd been lost at sea, he'd died. How could he be here at Sodalis? It just wasn't possible, was it? She rubbed her hands over her face and stared at Dulin again. He certainly looked like him. Older, more worn maybe but he looked a whole lot like her brother. He even had the stupid piece of toast hanging out of his mouth like her brother used to do. But no... he was dead, this wasn't possible.

Dulin was, more or less, rather enjoying watching Kami go through the range of emotions that she seemed to be. He could see the confusion, brushed with hints of anger, with twinges of happiness trying to peek out around the edges. At least she aknowledge that it was him now. When she rubbed her hands over her face, he was still there. He was not a ghost. She was not hallucinating. He was real, and he could prove it.
"You're... you're dead. I saw the letter... how?"
"I'm dead?" his smiled dropped in the most comical way. "There was a letter?!? How was I supposed to know that? Last time I checked, it was nothing but a little kidnapping, without the ransom. Dead or alive, I am here now." He smiled again.

Z'rion had brought his food back to the table where Kami had been sitting. Noting that she had begun talking to a man who seemed to look a lot like her, he walked over, amiably as always. He didn't really want to interfere as it seemed Kaminari and the man went way back. He watched the stranger for a moment, a smile was spread across his face as always. He really didn't think the man was a lover of Kami's more likely he seemed related but he was certain the harper would introduce the man soon enough.

Once again Kami just stared at him. No, this couldn't be, it was simply just too impossible. She turned and placed a hand on Z'rion's arm, silently begging for support. "What? What do you mean kidnapped? Your ship never came in to port. They told us everyone had been lost at sea. Father he..." Her voice trailed off, their father had taken it really hard when that letter had came. Dulin had been his first and only son, after that his relationship with Kami deteriated rapidly. Now she hadn't seen him in turns, Kami didn't even know if the old man was still alive.
Her mind switched back to the present. "He, he took it pretty hard. So did I." She looked away again and then looked to the bronzerider just behind her. Oh boy was this going to be intresting to sort out. "Z'rion, this, this is my brother, Dulin." Nodding to her her brother she completed the introduction, "and this is Z'rion, rider of Bronze Viderieth."

He wrapped an arm around her feeling a bit protective for a moment before being introduced to the newcomer. "Dulin, it is a pleasure." His smile was warm without a hint of anything but kindness. He held out a hand to shake the other men's in greeting. "I hope you have found the Weyr to your liking. It can be a bit confusing around here. If you you need anything just ask. Viderieth and I can take you anywhere in the Southern Continent."
Kami seemed so suprised at her brother being there, though he did not ask why in that moment he made a mental note to ask about it later. He would be suprised if his family showed up but certainly not wiht the shock she seemed to be feeling.

OOC: Yay, back from vaca!
IC: "Father knows already, Kami. I sent word with a messanger and did not come here until I knew he recieved it. I, however, wanted to come and see you personally. And I am sorry for all the trouble I caused." He had always felt an extreme closeness to his sister, the big brother protectiveness, sure, but there was more there, too. For the longest time, they were all that each other had. Now, though, it seemed...
He shook the lad's hand pleasantly, in his usual excited nature, with a large grin on his face. "Pleasure returned, Z'rion. One of these days you will have to introduce me to your Viderieth. I don't get much of a chance to be so close to dragons, so I would not miss one." If this bronze rider was important to Kami, then he would accept it. All Dulin really needed, though, was one excuse to not like him, and...

Z'rion felt a good deal better now that he knew for certain the man was her brother, except that he wondered just how protective Dulin was of his sister. "Viderieth is one of the best to see. Just so you know hes a bit full of himself and he gets his troublemaker streak from me.. he was born perfect." With that Z'rion smiled. eyes twinkling with the mischief going on in his mind.
Lucky that I'm so good natured as to take a flame headed wherry hen like yourself under my wing.Viderieth added, almost sending Z'rion into a fit of laughter, but he managed to hold back somehow.
"I better eat before my wherry gets cold." He moved back over to the table wanting them to join him but understanding that they might have things to talk about without his presence.
