Both looked like they were seething, the vain in Maris’s temple pounded just enough to show that she was far from happy. Corra was polite as ever, but something was different. She knew she had heard the young gold rider’s voice raised, it had to have been raised to carry through the heavy wooden door. Both of the women standing there offering their chairs almost made Kyparla laugh.
You would think the Lady Holder of Lateo was here… You are Weyrwoman…
The situation struck her as funny, but with the current that flowed in the room… she didn’t think it would be a wise to laugh. “It’s alright Corra… it’s your weyr.” She dismissed the ‘mess’ and took another appraising look at the two women Kyparla decided it was better to play diplomat. “I’m glad to see you too Maris, in fact I am glad to find you here. This will be just fine. I had plans to take Savath hunting before she got too egg heavy for a ‘decent’ meal… but Kezna caught me.” The redhead propped her hip on her fellow gold rider’s clothing chest. “Please, both of you reclaim your chairs... you’re making me feel my short comings.”

Mariska slowly loosened up, relaxing her tense muscles. She gavea half smile to Mariska and sat down. The Goldrider grinned inwardly at the pun, for it was quite true. "So Savath's coming along well then?" She asked pleasantly. It was always good hearing that Lateo's only current clutch layer was doing well. "So whats Kezna got you in for? Its funny that from candidates to Weyrwomen she's still treats us pretty much the same."
Maris was kind of glad now for Parla's entrance. Chances were she might have said several things she would have regretted to Corra.

Corra pursed her lips at the mention of females hunting but remained silent. They both knew her standing on such things and so it did not have to be repeated here. Managing a small though charming smile Corra sat on the edge of her seat hands folded delicately in her lap as she focused all of her attention on the Weyrwoman preferring not to think about what she could have said to the other goldrider had Kyparla not entered.
“More importantly Weyrwoman,” she had waited until Mariska had finished talking but changed the subject before Kyparla could answer her, “there was something you wanted to say to me?” she was all smiles and business but she couldn’t help but hope silently that both women would leave soon so she might finally get a moment and a bath to herself.
((sorry for the delay))
