((OOC: Two weeks after Savath’s First Hatching 2 months after the landslide of Vir Hold. The riders are helping to replant the hold’s fruit trees and clearing the only road out of Vir Hold. Large boulders are blocking the road down to the Paradise River which is how they transport their goods. Brown riders and bronze riders are going to help move the boulders, and clear away the mud. Green and Blue are going to help replant… the lower cavern’s folk are going to help wherever they are needed most. Vir Hold is known for her fresh fruit… she is also known for her wild felines. Don’t wonder off… and if you do don’t be surprised if something happens you didn’t expect.))
The sun was just hitting the horizon at Lateo Weyr. The smell of budding Fellis trees was pungent as was the ocean salt on the breeze. The lower caverns were abuzz with people, the night before they had drawn their day’s assignments and those lucky enough to get to go to Vir Hold were radiating joy, the others were grumbling displeasure or congratulating those that were going. Kezna had made sure enough food was being brought in to add to Vir’s stores… they didn’t want to be too much of a burden on the small hold, even if they were working hard to aide them. The past couple of months had been hard on the Hold as a whole.
“Ceera, Oesella, and… Shereae. You are riding with R’lan and Brown Nylath. He is a Helios rider, I think you know who he is.” Kezna knew that the two older women were familiar with the brown rider, the red head she thought was too young to be much acquainted with the man. Either way, both women got along with each other and with him… they didn’t like a few of the Luna riders though and she wanted to keep the peace.
“Resse, Jujala, Mave you are with A’sero.” Kezna assigned her women, 20 in total to different brown and bronze riders. The extra men were 15 in total. She herself was riding with G’llahar.
The bronze rider slapped Phelanth on the side as they watched the wings take shape one the bowl. “You getting them lined out Kezna?” A light smile filled the tall man’s voice. It was a good day. “Trying to Weyrleader.” The auburn haired woman smiled back, good naturedly. She had known and watched G’llahar as a child. He had grown into a braw man.

Shereae laughed and ran for R'lan, reaching him before the two older women. She figured they were loosely affiliated with the man, but she had talk to him a couple times in the last couple of sevendays, and she had come to really enjoy his company. He was flirty, nice, funny, and very handsome. And really, she thought, what more could you ask for?
"Hi Nylath! You look good today," she said, smiling at the brown dragon. Looking up for his rider, she smiled wider to find R'lan leaning against the brown hide. "Good morning, Lord R'lan," she said, blushing at the sight of him looking so fine...and smug.

Ceera arched a brow as the young woman cut in front of her and ran undignified toward the brown rider. “Another conquest?” The woman whispered as she walked toward the brown, “You should know,” Oesella grinned at her friend, they had been with the man on more than one occasion, sometimes at the same time. “Neither one of us has a claim. Besides, so young and barely pretty. You think R’lan will want her long?”
“You’re right.” Ceera almost hissed.
Turning the Headwoman, heard the young strawberry blonde’s exclamation. ‘Okay… maybe I was wrong.’
The brown rider grimaced when his list of passengers were named. ‘Fall, not all three of them.’ Shereae didn’t need to be subjected to Ceera for one… and neither did he. She always made him feel like tentacles were reaching out trying to smoother him, hold him close so he couldn’t move.
“Hello Redhair.” He moved to the front of Nylath’s shoulder. “Can I help you up?” The brown gave a rumble of pleasure at being greeted, he liked the young woman. Turning a large whirling blue green orb toward Redhair, he extended his knee without being asked. R’lan looked up at him questioning.
She is nice…

"Okay," she said, smiling. "I'm not really sure how to get up there. I don't want to hurt Nylath," she replied, somewhat worried. She was sure she'd heard the two women discussing her somewhat nastily, but they could bite Shards for all she cared. She'd see who had R'lan's affections at the end of the day. She looked at Nylath's knee, extended. "Do I just, like...climb up?" she asked.

((Sounds exciting!))
A'sero waited for his passenger list. Ah, 3 lovely ladies of course. Well, he didn't know if they were lovely yet...but if they were well wouldn't that be nice. "M'ladies Resse, Jujala and Mave, You can come on over here." He called out over the hubbub of getting the party organized. Once they had found him he did some quick introductions, "Right, i guess i'll be your ferry for today. I'm Wingsecond A'ser of Desta. And this is my Bronze Kaluth. I know he's big, but i'm assuming you all know dragons pretty well so there's no reason to be scared. If any of you aren't so comftorable with flying, you can sit closer up with me. Alright then, up we go."
He helped each of the women up at a time. So you think this is going to be any fun? Probably not...just some grunt work, but at least we got some wome coming, althoguh Kezna will probably keep them under her wing and away from us most of the time. Like you need any more women. I thought you had a girlfriend. Yuri's not my girlfriend. You're just sour cause their's no Goldies coming along for you.Whatever. The Bronze snorted dismissively.
The pair moved into their slot in this makeshift aide wing and waited for G'llahar to send them up and off. He wondered who J'mie and Gavanth were carrying.

(I hope its okay that I just assigned people to myself? If not I can change it.)
J'mie had arrived on time as usual. The Bronzerider was rarely late even under horrible circumstances like this morning. He swore he'd never had a headache like this one and Gavanth was slightly perturbed that the man was feeling so under the weather. Of course he had requested ever so politely that he take as few people as possible without seeming like he didn't pull his own weight. Where most people were taking three women, J'mie was only taking two passengers, one was female the other male. It was actually fine with him that way.
"I'm J'mie, Wingleader of Desta and this is Gavanth. I suspect you are both comfortable enough around dragons?" The question though posed as rhetorical was easily answered by the nods of the pair who seemed to be no nonsense types. Thank goodness the last thing he neeed was some flirty woman with a high pitched voice trying to talk to him. He first got the large woman on Gavanth's back and secroed before helping the young man to strap in behind her. He then prepared himself and Gavanth for orders from G'llahar.

(OOC: I just noticed this thread and it sounds great. I also asigned myself 3 npc's. If you need transport for someone let me know and I will edit it.)
S'for tried to be patient as the 3 drudges gaped at Alarath. It was obvious they had never ridden a dragon. The three females just stood there and S'for was about to blow a fuse. They were weyrbred after all and shouldn't mind riding a dragon. He assisted the first two up with some trouble but the third girl was trembling so much he had to physically pick her up himself and carry her up. He placed her directly behind himself and tied her safely with the harness. Alarath tried to comfort her with soft crooning but that just made her grab S'for around the waist in a crushing grip. He was ready to go.

“You just climb up. Don’t mind about hurting Ny. You won’t…. he is solid as a rock. Bout like dealing with one at times too.” It pleased R’lan that the girl showed no fear of the brown. It wasn’t the first time the pair had met, but it still made him feel good… for reasons he had yet to figure out.
I do not resemble a rock. Nylath snorted, indignantly.
Have you ever seen yourself sleep?
“Put a foot on his knee and grab for leather.” The brown rider jerked his chin to indicate which strap to hold, before placing hands on either side of her waist. “That largest neckridge. You are going for the one behind it.”
G’llahar spoke with two of the Weyr’s workmen, giving last minute orders. His light eyes caught a flurry of movement and he saw one of the Helios riders pick up a woman and put her straight away on his brown. ’That’s one way to handle it boy.’ The Weyrleader didn’t laugh as much as he would have liked to, “Barant, We have to clear that trail out to the west pastures in the next two days. Ignis Wing is at your disposable. We should be finished with Vir Hold in the next three days. If you need anything, have Kathrein send one of the Weyrlings to find me.”

As usual, T'lon was one of the last to have everyone ready to go. He had with him, Renala, Merkani and Sharna. They were all mothers of one of his numerous children. He knew that Renala and Merkani got along fine with each other even if they knew he was the father of each of their son. Sharna on the otherhand was the shy and quiet type. He just wished that the two older females would not berate Sharna for being to shy.
He had to help each of them up Teranth's back and made sure that they were all securely tied in the riding straps. He also made sure the all the equipment that he was to bring along was securely tied to the riding gear. Once that was done, he strapped himself in and waited for orders to go. In the meantime, he checked to see that the members of his wing also had people to bring and that they were all set and waiting for orders to go from him.
As he waited he wondered what else needed to be done. I'm sure the Weyrleader will let us know, Mine. Teranth interupted T'lon's thoughts.
Yes, I know. I'm just wondering what they'll be. T'lon replied. He looked for G'llahar to see if they were all set to go.

M'fyd who was 'lurking' off to the side of the group who was gathering, not being the biggest social butterfly. Things were just beginning to come to together and take on a hint of organization, he checked to see if Neunth was all ready to go. He only had to take two people, two men who looked like they could do some hard labor. It was probably going to turn out as some thankless, back breaking work day. It was good to help out the Hold, though.
[glow=beige,2,300]*Gives us something to do. Besides you could use a good work out, mine.*[/glow]M'fyd slapped his dragon on the shoulder playfully, and spared him a grin that looked awkward on his always serious face.
He turned to the two men,"I'm M'fyd, this is Neunth. We will be transpotring you to Vir Hold, although I'm sure you already new that." He signaled for them to begin mounting and he helped them up, and got them situated. Neunth nodded at him and sent to Phelanth,[glow=beige,2,300]*All ready here, Phelanth.*[/glow]

"Okay." She had started to gather fortitude to climb on the magnificent creature when she felt R'lan's hands on her hips, lifting her up there. She gasped, for more reason than one. He must be extraordinarily strong, she thought. She knew she wasn't fat, but she was no light-weight either. After becoming seated, she scratched around the ridge she was seated behind. "Thanks R'lan!" she said, still scratching. "And thank you, Nylath.
((OOC: How 'bout I play G'rec for this. He's a Helios Rider, if I'm not mistaken...))
G'rec buried his face in his hands. He had really messed up with Mariska now. Sighing, he turned to his charges. A man and two females, all from the lower caverns. And he didn't know any of these. All he could think of was Mariska. He really did like the female, but she was so exasperating sometimes! And privately, he'd never say it aloud, but he thought she acted a bit abover herself. Riding Gold only entitled one to a few extra priviledges, and the girl had been allowed to run around the Weyr like she owned it. Well, maybe he'd see an end to that soon enough.

R’lan tried not to wince. ‘Heavier than she looks.’
He heard a chuckle in his mind. Laugh it up.
Ceera came up behind the brown rider and put her arms around his waist. “She’s cute, in a plain drudge kinda way. Are you going to help me up like that too?”
R’lan felt the heat around his collar spreading up his neck to his face, making his ears, cheeks, and nose burn. He gulped. Ceera… out of all the women he had known almost scared him.
“R’lan, I’ll take the spot behind Shereae If you don’t mind. I feel safer going between knowing someone is in front and behind me. Keeps me from feeling like I am going to fall off.” Oesella stepped forward, extending her hand to the brown rider. “Hello Nylath.”
Ceera cut her eyes at the woman, looking daggers; but she let go of his waist. When he went to Oesella’s aide the man leaned close to her ear, “Thank you.” “It is easy… she seems sweet brown rider.” With that she swung up behind the young girl.
Are they ready? G’llahar watched for Kezna… it shouldn’t take this long. It seemed though that more people than he intended had shown up for the trip to Vir. Did they not realize it was a work day?
I think the last of them are settled… save for the Headwoman.
“Kezna?!” The Weyrleader called her name out over the noise of the gathering crowd of dragons and riders. “I am here… and we are set.”
G’llahar grinned down at the woman… “Good… then up you go.”
Without preamble the bronze put out his knee. “Thank you Phelanth.” It took the woman a few tries to grab the riding strap but once she had a hold of it, she was straddling the bronze’s great neck. The Weyrleader soon to follow.
We go.
Pumping his arm, Phelanth made the leap into the air.
((OOC: Off to Vir Hold.))

With conformation from his Rider that they were ready, Neunth made a powerful leap into the sky his wings pumping in great pwoerful streaks as he became airborn. M'fyd accutsomed to such things felt as if this were just another day, but he could fell the nervousness of the two man, they had clamped their legs to Neunth side and grasped whatever was closest. They would be off in a heart beat, it wasn't as if his Neunth was going to fall out of the sky. M'fyd gave him their coordinates clearly as he had been trained and they were off to Vir Hold.

Shereae heard the awful woman's remark from atop the brown dragon. She whipped around faster than a firelizard being chased, and stared down at Ceera, a mixture of a sneer and a smirk on her features. "Listen, nanny, if you have something to say about me, say it to me. Until then, keep my name out of your filthy mouth." She turned back forward and was glad when Oesella volunteered to sit behind her. She seemed nice enough, but Shereae was damned tired of hearing rude remarks from the other woman. She held on tight when Nylath leaped into the air. ~~~ "Hold on tight," G'rec told his charges, holding the ropes tightly himself. He was already distracted, and while he trusted Rohanoth, he didn't trust himself. He was fully aware that he was trying to justify his behavior towards Mariska, but he also knew that all his thoughts were true and his real feelings. They leapt between, and to Vir Hold.

The youngest one, Mave, a pretty girl in her 20th or so turn noted in a squeakign voice that she was a little frightened so he put her up in front with him, reachign his arm around her to hold onto the harness. The other two women sat behind him. Jujala and Resse were both older and looked to have been around lower caverns life for a bit longer. It was clear in their faces and eyes, pretty but warn down.
After receiving the go ahead Kaluth pushed off into flight. "Hold tight," He whispered to Mave and he felt her tense as they lifted into the air. "Alright, here's your warning. We're going in between." And they did. He loved frightened girls. To Vir.
