Daine paused and thought for a moment. "Hm..you've gots a good point, therr." She smiled slyly and looked up at him. "You tell me and I'll answer anything you wanna know. How's that for a deal?" They were dancing like there was no tomorrow, which in her mind, there was none. She could do whatever she wanted tonight and she wouldn't give a shard. The greenrider laughed and tossed her head back and forth, sending curls bouncing left to right. "Nope, jus tonight 'cause its fun!"
"No no no! You more important 'cause you needed spirit and potential to get where you are now. Sho we're really no different except that you help lead the Wing. Besides, E'mion was gonna kick me out and he didn't care...i can go. Like you said, I could be working with the smokeless weyrlings..." Daine hadn't even realized she had fallen until S'hon caught her, and for a second she thought she noticed...fear?..in his eyes as she had reached up to touch his scar.
Luckily for him, the music began again and she rapidly danced to the tune. She constantly danced dangerously close to the edge of the table, and if S'hon hadn't been holding onto her and pulling her back each time, she woud have surely fallen after the first turn. But she was oblivious to all of it until the world slanted so she was staring straight at the ceiling. "S'hon--oof!" Her question was cut off when she landed on the ground, but something padded her fall.
Turning around, she found herself on top of S'hon. "Oh, S'hon!" Just as he didn't let go, she didn't show any signs of getting off of him either. Once she was sure he was alright (remember, this is a drunk checking a drunk so there wasn't much real checking involved), Daine began to laugh along with him. "You...scared me!" She smiled. "Thank you for..." The greenrider stopped mid-sentence as the world started to spin. Why were they spinning? All the falling down, dancing, and movement without any water to hydrate her had made her dizzy.
"Woah...are you spinning too?" Her hands grabbed onto his shirt, hoping that she would slow down. She closed her eyes, but it barely made any difference. Crowds of people began to watch them and come around to point and whisper all over again. Hadn't they just gone through this? But Daine didn't really notice as she tried to concentrate. All the alcohol pumping through her veins made it impossible to think, and all she wanted to do was collapse where she was...she was so comfortable after all.
((maybe have them kicked out now? cuz she's so dizzy...and it'll make it interesting to try and get her to her weyr without her collapsing ^^))

((That’s what I thought too… that’s why I made them fall down. If I move this too fast just tell me and I will edit.))
S’hon continued to hold her after they had fallen down and he had caught his breath he laughed during her ‘check up’ complaining that she was tickling him, though she had barley looked him over. He was staring into her eyes when she closed them grabbing hold of his shirt. But alcohol affected him differently and with the aid of only one eye the room was not spinning for him. “No but here let me help…” he reached up and cupped her head in his hands holding it still, but by the look in her eyes it was not helping, even if it was his mind could not register that at the moment.
Still holding her tight S’hon sat up, startling many of those around them, “I think its time to get you to bed. I told you I won.” He stood next never letting her go, his large hard body acting as a support. But when they both swayed he had to stop grabbing his own head… “Well maybe it’s spinning… but just a little.” Trying to lead the dizzy drunken woman out of the room was proving to be quite a task, with the people moving all around and never seeming to hold still. “Damn… wait a minuet…” squinting at the door and then down at Daine S’hon came to a decision after only a few moments. Holding her about the shoulders he bent down and scooped her up into his arms lifting her easily but almost over balancing, “wow… haha that was a close one…”
His steppes where relatively straight and steady, though he swayed once or twice he never let her fall, focusing his drunk mind on getting her to her weyr… “This is it, he mumbled, fumbling with the door knob before finally kicking the thing in. he stumbled in, not exactly expecting the door to give way so easily. Looking around again he stared at the bed for a whole minuet before realizing that that was a bed and that that was where Daine needed to go. Half laying her half dropping her on to the matrices as his knees gave way S’hon smiled saying “home sweet home.” As he struggled to stay awake.

Daine's head rested against his chest as she clung to his shirt. Why was the room spinning so fast? S'hon holding her head didn't help that much, but somehow it was a be comforting. Her world began to shake as the bronzer sat up with her still clinging to his shirt. "No, no. This isn't from drinking." She yawned. "The dancing made me spinny." She laughed lightly as he helped her to stand up. The greenrider couldn't seem to step in a straight line as he began to lead her out.
No only that, but she continued to insist that she was alright and wanted to dance again. "Let's dance, let's dance." As he asked her to wait, she wondered if maybe he was changing his mind. But then she was flying again and her arms wrapped around him for a fear of falling. Resting her head against his chest, she closed her eyes and focused on his heartbeat. The world finally began to slow down, and she smiled as she practically fell asleep in his arms.
When she woke, she was being set down on her mattress. She yawned and pulled the sheets over her before turning to S'hon. "I'm not that tired. You look exhausted. Was I heavy?" She curled up and tried to stay awake by talking to him, but her eyes continued to try and close on her. But she didn't want this to end so quickly. Daine's eyes finally closed, not knowing what was in store for them when they both awoke in her weyr.

S’hons eyes drooped even as he was trying to stay awake, her yawing was making him tired, that was it… when he spoke his voice was soft almost a caress, “No, no… you where not heavy not at all…I…could…do it again.” His head was so heavy; folding his arms over her sheets S’hon rested his head on them, still trying not to close his eyes. His blue eyes, no longer icy and sturn watched her fall asleep. She was so beautiful… even when she was trying not to be.
But his eyes where heavy now… perhaps he could rest them for…just… a….little…wile…
S’hon was asleep before his eyes had even closed all the way, kneeling there by Daine’s bed, not a care in the world, not even thinking about what would happen when they woke.
((sorry it’s so short… perhaps Diane could wake first? cause if S’hon wakes up he will just leave ruining the fun.))

((that works ^^ i know Daine will throw a fit XD))
The sun was just barely over the horizon when Daine began to stir. This was the first time in many sevendays she had slept without waking up once. It had probably been the drinks the last night, or maybe the fact that she felt more comfortable with S'hon watching over her as she had fallen asleep. There had been no nightmares or moments where she just woke up with a start and not knowing the reason why. This was also the latest she had slept in to since then as well.
Her eyes fluttered open, but she instantly shut them again. The light, even such a small fraction burned her eyes and made her head pound in anger. Squeezing her eyes shut, her hands felt around to find where the bed ended and the floor began. Something soft and then slid through her fingers and she froze. What was that? At her every thought, her head banged that much louder and she had to bite her tongue to keep from shouting out in pain. Just how much did she have to drink last night?
Daine pulled herself closer to whatever she was touching, and her hands slowly slid down the backside until she realized she was touching a human. By now the greenrider was standing on her bed and getting ready to punch whoever had invaded her room in the middle of the morning. Slowly but surely, she opened her eyes and stared at whose head was just below her. S'hon?! All too quickly she moved, tripped, twisted, and landed on her back on the hard floor.
The air was knocked out of her and stars were shining in front of her as she held her head. Oh, how it hurt! What was S'hon doing in her weyr? How dare he! And just what had happened last night. She knew they were seeing who could drink more, but she could barely remember anything else. Her whole body ached. Had she and S'hon--no, no it wasn't possible. Wait..she did remember something. Dancing. Dancing somewhere that they weren't supposed to be dancing. Who was her partner? All these questions pulsed through her head and she cringed in pain.
She needed fellis juice before she could do anything. She was exhausted, lacking in any water, and her head was going to be the death of her if she didn't do something about it soon. "S'hon...you sharding, idiodic man! Explain yourself! What are you doing---ah!" Her head seemed to explode in a shot of pain that went right through her just at her loud tone of voice. Daine tried to crawl onto her side, but moving anything made her body scream and her head pound.
First she needed fellis juice and then she should yell at S'hon. That was the order it was supposed to be in. But stubborn as she was, she wanted to yell at S'hon and figure out what had happened the last night before even thinking about herself. "Well? Why" pound "are you lying" pound "next to my bed? And.." pound "what did.." pound "we..." pound "do last night?" She was spinning all over again, and her hands had to hold her head to try and keep her from becoming too dizzy. Hands on her head...why did that seem so familiar? She tried with all her might but couldn't remember...not yet anyway.

In all of his fifteen turns in the Weyrs S’hon had never slept so long. He had always awoken after only three to four hours of sleep, usually drenched in a gold sweat, fighting images of memories he could not forget. This time though, he had slept the whole night through, even in the occword position of kneeling by the bed his head resting on his hands. He hadn’t seen any visions of the dark haired temptress, or his angry father, he had seen another woman, a beautiful woman, a smiling woman…
His body subconsciously twitched away from the hand running down his back, as his mind struggled to wake. It didn’t have to try much longer however as something fell down next to him, ripping the warm blankets out from under him the shouting making his head pound so much that he could not hear what the shouts where saying. Opening his eyes with a start S’hon instantly squeezed them closed again as he brought up his hands to try and shield the light from glaring right threw the lids. Moaning at the throbbing and dropping his left had away from his blind eye he tried to wave the shouting away.
This was a hangover from his night mares, he had only had one this bad once before and the thought of what his new tattoo must look like made him cringe twice as hard. But he didn’t have a new tattoo, it was worse as he realized who was shouting at him and remembered where he was. Groaning the bronzer tried to stand only to find that his legs had fallen into a deeper sleep after he had been laying on them all nigh sending him back to the ground with another moan.
“Stop shouting.” His voice was cold, icy again, not even a memory of its former warmth from the night before could be found in its depths. what did I do? but even the thought hurt. When Mazbeth answered he groaned louder, you went drinking with Veralidaine. “not so loud Maz.” Speaking it out loud only helped a little and he would have rather not said anything. But he still needed to answer Daine or ells she would never shut up. “We where Dancing Veralidaine, just dancing…” that was right wasn’t it? He hadn’t done anything ells had he? “You where drunk and I brought you back here…” but why had he stayed? S’hon didn’t have the memory loss after drinking, not once he had woken completely up but the memories that where coming back only made his head hurt even more.

Daine growled, but even that made her cringe. There was no trace of a possible smile left on her face, and all the warmth died in her eyes until it became flames of pure fury. He slept in her weyr and he thought he had the right to tell her what to do? Well, he could do that since women didn't really have much of a say, but to Veralidaine, she was more superior. He's right. You two just danced and had a few drinks. I watched you two fall asleep here. He was just watching to make sure you fell asleep.
The greenrider curled on the floor and covered her ears, praying the voice would stop. "Stop Wes!" The pounding was so loud that she hadn't realized she was shouting until it felt like another rock hit her against the head. They both needed fellis juice before either of them passed out from the pain. She attempted to stand, but a wave of nausia made her freeze. She was not going to be this weak in front of this man. Biting her tongue to keep from saying anything, she finally got to her feet with help from her bed.
"Stay here." She ordered through gritted teeth as she stumbled to the doorway. They needed fellis juice and if E'mion found out S'hon was in this condition, she would be grounded for life. Daine had to get the fellis to S'hon, and she knew she had to do it as fast as possible before she passed out either. "Wes, make sure if I'm about to fall down you wake me up or something, got it?" Promize. She grimaced and clung to the doorway to catch her breath. Already she was tired...this wouldn't be pretty.

S’hon groaned as he straitened his legs out still sitting on the ground to try and coax blood back into them at the command to stay put he was not going to argue, it was her Weyr after all and she was above him there, “Yes ma’am” the pain in his head made it impossible for him to sound sarcastic though he wouldn’t have anyway. He opened his fingers enough to see where she was going only to drop his hand quickly, “Veralidaine where are you going?!” with most of his concentration on his pounding head and aching knees S’hon could not keep the hint of concern out of his voice.
But that made his head hurt more. They needed fellis, though he didn’t know that was exactly what she was thinking. “Runt make yourself useful…” it was a whisper but as the little green was always listening for him she reacted immediately. S’hon winced noticeably as he tried to picture the small vile of fellis he kept in his weyr for morning like this… except none had been this bad yet. It took the green a wile to figure out exactly what he wanted, making him curse as his head pounded all the harder.
He buried his head in his hands again as the little green finally appeared in the room with a squawk dropping the vile on the bed before trying to land on his shoulder only to be brushed away. Squawking again and making S’hon grown all the louder she disappeared at Mazbeths command. “Fellis… if you drank as much as I did I know you don’t want to go out there right now…” his voice was a little muffled through his hands but he gestured to the bed anyway still not wanting to move.

Leaning on the doorframe, she didn't bother to turn around as she answered. "To get us some fellis juice." She cringed and rested her hand on her temple as she tried to ignore the pain. It was all mental. If she somehow ignored the pain, she might be able to make it to the Infirmary and back. Daine began to stumble out the door when S'hon called her back. He got some already? Well why hadn't he said so in the first place? He had made her walk that far before telling her, which was not an easy task in her condition.
But her head would not allow her to throw a fight just yet. It would come soon enough though. Right now all she wanted to do was crawl over to him and chug the fellis juice, but her pride kept her on her feet. She didn't want him to see her on her knees, and therefore refused to give in to the aches of her body. They must have danced a lot for her to feel this battered, or maybe fallen on the ground a couple of times. She could feel a few bruises here and there, which would need numbweed once her headache was gone.
She made it to the bed and sat down, trying to keep the room at a standstill when it was trying so hard to spin. "Gimme." The greenrider reached out for the fellis, hoping he had already finished his share and was ready to give her the rest. A nice dose a fellis and a quick nap sounded great right now, but she might not have the time. She still had to do her chores, S'hon's bandages, help S'hon with his chores, and bathe Wesayath since she hadn't been able to get to it yesterday. Already the day seemed worse than perhaps the night before last, if possible.

S’hon had not taken his half of the juice had not even reached for it. Lifting his head from his hands with his eyes still shut he waved toward the vile, sitting right next to her on the bed. “Take it…I’m fine.” He tried to stand again, only pure stubbornness keeping him from falling over. Clenching his teeth to keep from groaning S’hon managed to stand striate though his eyes where still closed.
Slowly he opened his blind eye letting his good one stay closed a little bit longer before opening it as well. He tried to suppress it but the flinch as the light hit his eyes was noticeable. If only he could get back to his own weyr, then he could lie down, pull the heavy dark curtains around him and sleep this damn hang over off. But first Daine, she must be furious with him but he could still see her smiling face as his memories of the night came back like a dream.
Waiting for her to drink all she needed he managed to arch an eyebrow, trying to seem as though nothing was wrong, as though this was completely normal. “Feeling better?”

He was not fine. She could tell just by the way he spoke and held himself. This arguement could go on and on though between them since they were both so stubborn, and for once she decided to swallow her pride and take the dose needed. There was plenty left for S'hon, and she shoved it into his hands. "Take it now or I'll shove it down your throat." He was just as bad as she was, if not worse. There was no way she could handle him saving her and then getting sick because she drank the fellis juice instead of him.
He seemed to flinch as he opened his eyes to adjust to the light. She had already, but it still hurt. She stumbled across the room to the window and hurredly shut the curtains. There was still some light in the room, but it was much better than before. Daine collapsed where she was standing when her energy failed her to move to the bed. Instead she sat on the floor and leaned against the wall. Watching S'hon somehow calmed her a bit, and her memory began to give her quick flashbacks of the night before.
The main thing she remembered was how much of a gentleman he was. Even when S'hon wasn't drunk, he always helped her like a gentleman. She sighed, then looked back up as he asked of her condition. "Better. I'll be fine in a few minutes." Which was of course a lie, but she didn't want to look so weak. "How about you?" Daine watched him with curiousity rather than her usual anger. Just staring at him made the memories rush back that much quicker. He cushioned her fall...held out his hand...it was all coming back now.

S’hon watched her tip back the bottle as impassively as he could… that was he last vile and damn that stuff was hard to get a hold of. But soon it was shoved back in his hands and he was still uncoordinated enough to take it. He glared at her though squinting eyes and didn’t take his dose until she had passed him to close the windows but at the sound of something hitting the ground he spun around a little to fast swaying slightly but straitening quickly considering his condition. He watched her sitting on the ground and could help but remember her dancing smiling face, he shook the image away however and finding that making his head spin more he sat down on the bed. Well she was sitting… sort of.
He was only down for a few moments when he stood again, like a nervous child. He didn’t answer he question, didn’t argue though he knew she was not any better then he was. Throwing his shoulders back he moved forward and though he hesitated he held out a hand to her, he had not hesitated to touch her last night but now, now he was sober and he did not want to touch anyone. “Come on, this is your room… you should have to sit on the floor.” His cold blue eye stared into her fiery green ones, but they were not burning with anger as they normally did, but neither was it the same as last night, but then again neither where his. With memories of what had happened flashing though his head his expression was a mixture of the cold carelessness he had become know for, embarrassment for what he had done, and confusion for what he was feeling right now.

The memories were coming back in short clips, making her have to piece them together to make any sense of them. Every time S'hon moved or said something, she had a sudden flashback that somehow connected to last night. Right now, she would vow to never drink again. Closing her eyes and resting against the wall, she tried to block the last night out. She didn't need to remember any of it. It wouldn't change anything between them anyway. These feelings...these strange and foreign feelings would wear away with time.
She didn't try to reason them out, but only ignored them as if they would disappear if she did. If someone could feel what she was feeling, they would realize that they were having feelings towards S'hon. But Daine wouldn't even think of it. Never had she liked a man and she never would in her mind. Besides, she watched the feelings pass through with the others easily. All it took was time. Once she wasn't grounded anymore and S'hon's arm was healed, she had no reason to see him other than in Wing Practice.
Separation was all she needed. They had been seeing too much of each other lately. Yes, that was it. Daine sighed and opened her eyes to find S'hon's hand reaching for hers...again. He was sober, wasn't he? All she could do was stare at it as if his hand would attack her if she got too close. His words went right through her and she slowly shook her head. "It's more polite to have the guest sit on the bed." She continued to stare at it. Something inside her told her...no, ordered her to take it. She wanted to...and yet by accepting it she was accepting those small feelings that had begun to grow inside her; the same feelings she had been trying to ignore.
Veralidaine had been betrayed too many times to care about anyone anymore, but there was something in the way that he held out his hand to her that shook her awake. Out of nowhere, her hand reached out for his even when she vocally denied it. Why had she reached for it? The greenrider was so confused, and she had to get to the bottom of this. She hated being confused and would not stop until she figured out a way to have everything make sense again.
Her hand held onto his as she was pulled up towards the bed. Daine's legs shook a bit as she stumbled to the bed, but she finally made it by dropping on top of it. She stretched out on it with the back of her hands covering her eyes. The fellis was just barely beginning to take effect. The headache wasn't so bad that her every thought hurt, but any movement made her body scream. He must be so much worse though...he cushioned her fall on the stone floor.
Would he have done that if he was sober? Or was that only true when he was drunk? Out of the blue, she asked, "So who won?" She was referring to who could hold their alcohol the most, and she hoped that she wouldn't have to clarify her question to him. In her opinion, she had one because at least she had made it to her weyr. That was because he helped you. Oh, quiet. Daine sighed and waited for him to answer while somehow finding comfort in him still sitting there instead of leaving her alone in her weyr like she usually was.

S’hon watched her impassive, though inside was a mix of screaming to pull his hand back before he felt the touch of skin on skin, and anger at the look she was giving him… he was not going to bight her. He only said one thing to her comment on Politeness, “perhaps.” But he did not take his hand away, even if he was a guest S’hon would not sit down unless the woman was seated, and it was her weyr, her room, her domain.
When she took his hand it was like thunder had struck, being sober now he tried not to flinch and breathed easier when he had succeeded. It had been to long since he had really touched someone without being forced to or noticeably letting go as soon as possible. He followed her to the bed but did not sit down at the foot of it until she had covered her eyes with her hands. He would not have sat down at all but his head was still spinning and the fellis was taking its deer sweat time in working. His entire body hurt, he had fallen down multiple times the last time when he had fallen from the table only to shield Daine from the floor, would have him hurting for weeks, and yet he did not regret it…
He stubbornly muscled through the pain as he leaned back with a slight twist to pop his back. He just wanted to lay down and fall asleep again, but not here, no he would not do that again it was bad enough he was still here but he could not bring himself to leave, there where to many unexplained things spinning though his head. Veralidaines voice broke through his thoughts and looking at her he had to blink a few times before he remembered exactly what she was talking about. He looked away as he shrugged, running his had through his hair and covering his eye again. “I did, I could still walk at the end of it.” Did she remember him carrying her? His arms did as they ached at his every movement but why was he arguing the point, in the end neither of them won, they both had hangovers from Hell and confused thoughts and emotions.

Daine tried a mocking laugh, but she only sucked in air. Just because he could walk didn't mean she had lost. She thought about it for a moment, trying to reason out an arguement to prove him wrong. Nothing was coming though that could possibly make her win after that. But she wanted to argue with him. She wanted to stand up against him and not give in. She hated being wrong, even if she was most of the time anyway. "Perhaps." She mimicked his from earlier in response.
Sure, he could walk after the end, but it was his fault for walking her to her weyr. If he had made it to his weyr he would have crashed too at the same spot she did. Daine tried to think about it, but her head was pulsing so hard she couldn't remember that in fact her had carried her back. Instead, she mumbled, "how long does it take for fellis to work?" She tried to peek out behind her hands, but decided against it when her hands became dead weights. They would not move unless by some outside force they were shoved off her face.
It was the next day, wasn't it? The greenrider suddenly realized her free day was gone...and her only result was a hangover rather than a good night's sleep. She had so many things left to do, and while S'hon was here, she might as well fix the arm. Then she would go help S'hon with chores, do her own chores, and maybe go to the Bowl to give Wesayath a bath. Yes, that would do. The green was getting so cranky now, and Veralidaine feared that Wes was getting ready to Rise very shortly. She shivered at the thought, but brushed it aside. She had other things to take care of before completely assessing her dragon.
